Upper ICF Pool Concrete Pour Day!! 

Glad the pour went off without any hitches. Good thing about doing the pool first is you're getting good experience for when you pour the house. Finally, love it when you and Jackie get together on camera. It's fun to watch.

FWIW, the only tidbit worth mentioning is to encourage your vibrator operator to tickle the rebar as much as possible. It will help radiate the influence of vibration about 3 feet out in every direction of every piece touched. Thanks for sharing.

Unless you've worked around a pump, you don't realize how much concrete you can pump in a short time. You had plenty of help on hand to keep things moving & " just in case". The guy on the hose in the pool bottom is a real pro... No wasted motion, let the hose do the work! Glad I didn't see anyone (you) hanging from the hose suspended over thin air! 😄😉 Well done!!!

Heck of a job! Congrats on this milestone! One thing is for sure, that expert pump operator made the whole process much easier for everybody. He knew exactly how to maneuver the rig and control the flow. The concrete crew working the pool floor did a great job too! All the detailed prep work you did paid off with no blowouts, no real issues. You're getting dialed in for the important house pours. Btw, the Mrs. looked like she was walking the plank when you were showing her the progress. Hilarious. I don't think she'll be diving off the 5 meter diving board anytime soon. Bless her heart!

Never used a pump truck before. It appears as though there isn't much coming out of the pump hose but when you see how much is accumulating at the bottom of the wall, it is significant. Nice to see your dream coming together. Thanks for sharing.

I think them walls/walkways would have had to be 3-4 feet wide with solid rails on both sides for Mrs.Bealy Good to feel secure walking them, LOL. Believe me, I understand her caution. It's not so much the heights that bother me as the sudden stop at the bottom if I misstep😲. Jeffs discription of what was going to happen with this complex pool finally makes sense with the pour. This pool got the Dog Dog seal of approval. 👍

Nice. It’s obvious that the extra work and timber in bracing all the forms up properly was worth it. Those of us who have done this type of work before know how quickly everything can go pear shaped if you have a blow out.

I finished it (finally caught up) …so happy for you that it went as seamless as it did. That speaks to the extra time you invested in preparation and not pushing the schedule. My only recommendation is that this video is long enough that it could have been stopped after the drone shot (on pour day) with the rest of the content in this video being a stand alone “post mortem” video. It was interesting to see how uncomfortable your wife was walking around in contrast to you being fearless. That illustrates just how hardened you are to the realities of this job site and having been “hands-on” all over it. Y’all make a good team. Your pizza insights were the bomb 💥….I’ve seen that so many times when all a person needs to do is just say “I like [this]”. They are trying to be easy/polite but when the pizza actually shows up, “polite” fades away into “get it before it’s gone”. It reminds me of a Chris Farley SNL skit when he’s playing the role of a female cheerleader (starting out daintily eating a french fry until someone tries to take the fries away).

I've been eager to see this poured... because I couldn't figure out how it was going to work. I kept wondering what you were doing about the bottom of those forms because it looked like the concrete would just be oozing out of them and I wasn't sure what the plan was. Like Ms.BealyGood, I too struggle with those walkways; I need some kind of railing, anything, in order to keep my balance. Yes, I'm afraid of heights -- but it's situational -- I've willingly jumped out of airplanes many hundreds of times, but I need a railing on wood walkways.
