Queen that’s not a Ups guy. I’ve been employed by Ups for 33years we wear brown all brown no beige shirts and notice no Ups emblems anywhere. We don’t have time to play around like this we are always moving.
This is great. He starts out playing a prank on her (piano hustilng), shows off what he can do, then brings her back into it and makes her part of the music. Showed her how to use the same notes to play a totally different style-- a lesson that may prove valuable to her all her life. The difference between rock and folk... is the beat.
True, I agree, unfortunatelly most of people are forgeting the real worth fellings and doings :( The world is going down, is there a chance that most min 10-20% will see it soon? I've sadly passed people that do this because I've gotten in trouble at work for being late (went to buy guitar strings and stayed for a guy shredding for a half hour straight)

@@Qichar Actually, not everyone that can play music can read sheet music. I know I had problems with sheet music when I was in high school. Translating a dot on the page to a sound in my ear was the hardest part. Once I knew what the piece was supposed to sound like, I could play it pretty well.
you can know the keyboard without being able to read. When I started violin lessons, my teacher interviewed me and had me stand away from the piano. She then played various notes and I had to identify them. Almost perfect pitch and I hadn't started piano lessons yet, but my mom played and I would follow along by ear.
I tried evangelizing for my musical instrument of choice by leaving them around in public places. The CDC asked me to stop. Apparently it's not as hygienic to share harmonicas. Especially during a pandemic.

Being an Indian, I know how classist and feudal one can be. So, my surmise is that the girl's behaviour is not only driven by her age but her classist way of judging people depending on their vocation and economic strata. Note that she's just a beginner intermediate pianist, and the UPS man (Kavanagh in disguise?) is super competent. But does she give a 'wow', even after he wows everyone? No! Her admiration is muted by the fact that he's just a UPS man! I'm a big fan of both classical music and boogie woogie - to put it another way, a big fan of both Barenboim & Fats Waller 😀

There's a lot to observe in this video. I especially liked the old gentleman (with the yellow scarf)assisting brendan with the tempo while brendan took the role of a novice player pointing to the notes haphazardly from page to page. Then the girl's encouraging comment, "oh,it's fine" must have really made brendan's day. The silent observer in the distance(wearing a red coat) and the few who stopped to tune in,made the video interesting and fun to watch.
If she did I wouldn't blame her. Having some guy deliberately poke the wrong notes so that you keep pointing out the C to him, only to find out a few seconds later that the guy obviously didn't need help. at first, while he was "watching her hands," i thought maybe he just didn't read music but could play, turns out he's just a troll and wanted to pretend he's some kind of savant.
@Lefty Labeau Well if you did watch the whole freaking video then you would know that she did appreciated him and paid attention to him when she was done with her call because it seemed like it was an important one. Don't just assume something and keep your bullshit to your self. And I was saying to watch the whole video to the person who made the comment that she was rude. I don't know much about musicians... Except when I love their energy and their music. I always say, "I don't know the name of the person who installed the seat belt that saved my life, so I don't need to know the names of musicians." That being said, I'm guessing this guy is famous somehow?
Yeah, and the same world doesn't seem to care about their talents, just cares about money, forcing lots of talented people to ordinary jobs so they can make minimum enough to survive. While the situation in the video is an interpretation, that's a sad reality on the other hand.

I love the idea of putting instruments in public spaces like this... The piano is such a unit, I wish there was a way to have guitars publicly available in a similar fashion without them being destroyed by vandals.

There's also a public piano in Marylebone Station, a couple of miles to the west, that I've played. Nobody listened and I'm pretty good, although not as good as this guy.

Kenneth Purdy it’s not hard to tell at all. ITS not a UPS Uniform. I’m a UPS driver and our unis are a darker brown with a UPS a logo on the shirt. If you google the guy he’s a RU-vidr not a UPS employee.
