I also spent 3 years of my life and did coaching two times for government job preparations. Then I realised that probability of getting government job is less than 0.1% and quit preparation. I did phd and now working as a researcher in foreign University and earning more salary than any government officials in India.

Bhai dekho upsc ki taiyari karna hai to karo par aapke pass plan B bhi hona chahiye ki agar upsc nhi hua to aap kya karoge. If you don't mind, start some evergreen running business. Eg: Special dishes fast food or special hair cut saloon. These two businesses required less money to start. And yes choose the crowd location for higher sales.

@@cringeworld.a.iatleast vha kuch toh avenues haii. If you could not crack iit, then nits, state government colleges or even private colleges are an option. Same goes with mba and mbbs as well. Sarkari Naukri ka demand supply is much more horrendous and ruthless than the following you mentioned. Obviously life meii harr cheez meii competition and challenge haii. But statistically aur rationally socho toh ye cheeze Jo apne mention ki haii, ye boht zyada mauke deti haii when compared to upsc. Jee, neet and cat meii koi panch varshiye yojana ni hoti, aur agar best jagah nhi hota, toh kisi normal college se shuru karke, skill sets gather karke uske hisab se kuch toh reward milta haii. Mere dost kitna bhi padhlo sarkari Naukri ke liye, kitni knowledge jodlo, aapko knowledge ke paise nhi milte araam se agar selection ni hota toh.

Because of my single and elder son in my family I did mca from a very reputed university BHU. Now I am earning a decent salary as a software engineer. I have 0℅ regret that I couldn't be an IAS Or any civil servant. Don't waste your Jawani in this age there are lots of things to do, In this era you can earn more money than any government officer. Agree! I myself wasted four years of my life immediate after graduation. I even shelved my post graduation. At the same time I qualified similar and bit lower level exams but I was hardly interested in joining. Finally completed my PG, qualified SET and earned doctorate from a govt technical university. Yes, later I sensed, cultivating and developing one's own brand and niche is a real deal. Sky is the limit. Its important to understand oneself (from every aspect) in the early years of life is the key.

Everything is possible. Just work hard with consistency. Every week, the students should make a report of what they have studied. Whether they are able to recall what they have studied or not. I only spend 1.5 years to prepare for govt. job. After that, I decided to quit preparing and do a job which can improve my skills and knowledge. In that 1.5 years, I was going through the same things that: 1. I have been unemployed for 1.5 years. 2. One of my friend went to a company and now he changed his company and getting better salary. 3. My life is over. etc. I can't even imagine what a person go through who has spend 7-8 years in govt. job preparation. In this situation, my father was very helpful. After 1.5 years, he told me that it was important to go through this phrase once in a life so that you don't feel that "agar tyaari karte to shayad govt. job laag jaati". Now, you have tried and it is time to move on and don't spend even a second in preparing for govt. job.

If u r am upsc aspirant and want to calculate your calibre & prospects in this journey! Just do one thing take any 10 random rankers(under 200 rank) and analyse everything about those candidates. You will get better get to know about where u stand amd whether you should go for UPSC or not. Remember this exam is very risky with very low ROI. Until you have a very strong reason to do it just don't waste your time and money in UPSC.

Well this is completely true. I became fan of upsc when my mom shared a video of an ias officer ( ansar shaikh) when I was in 11th. Then i decided to follow him by switching science stream to arts stream but now i realises how stupid i was my cousin wanted me to do engineering because i had interst in making new things also i was good at studies. Also after 12th i started working in retail company & only in two months i got promoted. They also offer me another good post but only for the upsc i left that job & started college. After completing one year of college covid starts the i became upsc aspirant since then ive sacrificed friends, family, lifestyle, my happiness everything. This upsc preparation has impacted me economically, physically & mentally. I don't even remember when was the last time i was happy. I was very talkative & creative person & now i am changed to a very sad & quite person i don't like to talk now. I enjoy being alone. Now im giving my 2nd attempt but im not happy at all & not sure if i fail where i would be fit in private market with BA degree. My life has completely changed.

You are correct. I and my several friends wasted several golden years of their youth in this race. I suggest all real aspirants that give your two or three attempts maximum, not more than that. Always keep your plan B and C ready. Otherwise your whole life will be under frustration and depression. You will be misfit at all other jobs. UPSC is tough we all know because of it's diversity in the syllabus. Though facts provided by you are very correct and the explanation of bottle neck competition is very much agreed. But i would disagree with the fact that if you are good at academics then one must consider itself for this competition otherwise go for another option. In my belief competitive exams have no relation with your academic excellence it is directly linked with ones IQ level. Academic qualification has nothing to do with IQ level. And quitting is not the best solution for any aspirant though one needs to be smart enough to understand the need of an hour. But if anyone starts quitting policy then every field of interest will become a quitting option due to tough competition as every sector in India is very highly competitive whether it's a basic job Or skilled job

Sir you’re absolutely right i myself took PCM till 12th but due to covid I switched my field to arts now i’m giving my final year exams took coaching ( unacademy of 1lakh for 2yrs ) but all in vain at the end i have ni friends no social connection no communication skills didn’t got time to focus on my physical fitness and finally i left the preparation because at the end of 3rd year of BA I’m realising that it’s not my call and switching to MBA I’m grateful that I realised it soon

Hello Rahul ji, first of all thank you for covering this social truth so easily. I'm an IITian and I was very much interested in technology since my High school. I belongs from a rural background where people struggle to differentiate between an IIT an ITI. I was a district topper in my high school and 3rd rank in 10+2. After that I cracked JEE Advanced and got an IIT(hence first engineer from my village and first IITian from my District). After graduation from IIT I got very handsome job in a multinational company. For the first time my villagers don't believe that someone can get this much high paying job in his early age. But at the same time they compared it with a government job like a school teacher and a clerk saying 'although you've a private job'. I don't care much about what they says about me but I do care about our society where every student is just running behind a government job(don't matter what job is this) and usually most of them waste their bright years without gaining any skills. Society should change their mind.

यह आदमी कुछ पीकर बैठता है शायद, प्राइवेट लिमिटेड कंपनी शोषण तो होता ही है लेकिन इतनी महंगाई के जमाने में रत्ती भर सैलरी नही देती है और इधर सरकारी नौकरी की सैलरी रात दिन चौगनी किसी से छुपी नहीं है। रेक्सिशन का दौर चल रहा प्राइवेट लिमिटेड कंपनी से एम्प्लॉय को निकाला जा रहा है और भी सरकारी नौकरी जिन्दगी भर की सेफ है कहता है की सरकारी नौकरी कुछ नही है और हा एक fact aur सबसे ज्यादा ba , b।com वाले नही बल्कि b.tech वाले जायदा यूपीएससी परीक्षा की लाइन में जरा डेटा हुटा के देखो. जो भी प्राइवेट कंपनी में काम करता है सबको हकीकत पता है। आपकी वीडियो कुछ fact थे परंतु कुछ ज्ञान का अभाव। अरे भाई तूने ca kar लिया है तो अपने आप को सर्व ज्ञानी मत समझ, कोई रॉकेट साइंस नही है यह भी Ca वाले job ke बटख रहे है सबकी हालत खस्ता है

Sir this is the most important topic you have explained. Most of the youth does not know the economics of Goverment Job salaries. These mostly comes through taxes collected by Private entrepreneurs. In 1980 and 1990s , Goverment salaries were less than sustainable because there was no Companies for collecting tax. But as Economy opened, the Salaries grew and become attractive. But private companies would outpace the Goverment one in 10 trillon dollar economy.

बिल्कुल राहुल सर जी पब्लिक को ऐसे हि गुमराह किया जाता ह लेकिन लोगो की जानकारी के मुताबिक देखा जाये तो लोगो को ऐसे हि कुछ पैसा मिल-जुल कर के नेटवर्क मार्केटिंग मे लगाना चाहिए। जिस मे उनका लगाया गया कुछ पैसा लोगो मे हि बॉट्ट दिया जाता ह जिस से अधिकतर लोगो का भला हो जाता है। ओर देखा जाये तो यहा कार्य लोगो के दुवारा ही आपस मे मिल जुल कर के किया जाने वाला हि है।

Ye sach haii ki Upsc mei selection ratio bohot kam haiii....ias/ips ban ne ki chahat rkhne vaale aur mehnat krne vaale bht hain...lekin selection lene vaale bht kam...ye saari baatein ekdm sach hain...lekin is sach ko bhi nhi jhuthalaya ja skta haii ki jisne puri shiddat se upsc jaise exam ki preparation ki haiii...aur mains ya interview mei kuch marks se reh gya haiii...vo banda berojgaar nhi rahega....knowledge is supreme...sapna ias /ips ka nhiii...desh ki sewa krne ka dekhna chahiye...aur desh ki sewa ias /ips ban kr hi nhi hotiii...

Right decision bro me ne bhi CA kari thi after std 12 and west my 4 year in ca and I doing GNM nursing and I am also happy to leave CA because I understand I am not for CA field why I wast my more time in CA
