Becoming an IAS has become that much-hyped because of our status-based society. I believe if we want to change the scenario we need to make changes first on our society level. I myself was preparing for upsc, gave 2 attempts and left. Due to this, 3-4 year gap has become an obstacle for me in finding a job. After trying and put so much efforts finally i got a job in an IT company. This phase of my life( finding a job after having gap years) has taught me why having a Plan B is must. No doubt after preparation of upsc I have become more knowledgeable person but a dark side of this is also exists, which is an upsc aspirant may have a very good knowledgebase but he will have lack of technical skills or job required skills. I will sincerely request all the upsc aspirant specially boys that kindly have a plan b. If u really want to become in IAS officer then prepare 2 years only with honesty. Then just go out side have a job then u can try for another 2 years maximum. But not more than 4 years needs to be waste on upsc. There is a life beyond upsc also, u need to explore and live. Go outside, make money, travel the world, do marriage , have kids, start a family and live yours life with ur loved once. Thank you
My father is SDM officer nd he is saying everything absolutely correct 💯.....u can be transferred to a village sometimes u have to live far away from ur family.....i have studied in almost 7 schools.... having no friends nd no social life specially in this my mother has suffered bcoz we can go to school nd my father have his colleagues but she used to live alone in the house without having any one around her. This life is not easy at all this just looks so fascinating but we know the exact truth.
No developed country has any kind of hype for a sarkari naukri. Let's make hype of entrepreneur, scientist, honest local politicians, true spiritual leaders etc.
Each and every word...Reality 🔥 I am a software engineer with 2 yr exp. Quit my job.. Prep upsc for 2 years.... Right now after prelims I am thinking to join again my job.... This is reality but no one put attention here. Please make more real videos for youth .... S. S. Maza
Moreover I have been of view that the greatest disservice a man/ women can do to his/her nation is graduating and leaving the top STEM colleges and doing zero research (which actually makes the R&D better and than contribute for nation building and wealth creation) and joining these services due to colonial mindset of having a ruling mindset rather a serving mindset to which all average gullible Indian Parent fall prey to. A country should glorify its scientists, mathematicians, chemists, botanists, engineers, doctors and entrepreneurs the most rather these service servants.
IAS tanu also left job to run her coaching institutes. Tatasthu coaching ka naam h and her husband is IAS also. So one will have job and one will run business, its strategy eyeopener.. also rank 1 and 2 said they didn't join any coaching but photo is leaked that they are studying in coaching
I am a Group A officer myself and agreed with the fake social media hype created by such officers. Moreover, i just thought that what is the logic behind even allowing language subjects as option for mains. What contribution he will bring to the service?

I understand what is being said in this video . But there are alot of such examples where even professionals like CA , Doctor , Engineers , MBAs , various other people doing well in corporate jobs etc, quitting and preparing for upsc . If the services offered by UPSC are not lucrative anymore then why are so many well set people joining it ?? Would really like a discussion over it and other people to respond and engage on my comment .
You're right sir.. Nowadays social media has makes it glamours just to attract young blood.. So that youngsters just started following them and they devote their 7-8 years. And after 30s youngsters can't able to show their stamina bcuz most of the jobs allows upto 30s for exams and other competition..
I tried my best for two yrs in MPSC bt couldn't crack. Moved on with it, focused on my career in Finance currently working as Finance Controller in Radisson Blu Delhi. You have given such a good advice sir, it takes lot of courage for a man to move on from what u had dreamed of. I have been in touch with various government offices for quite some time since early days of my finance career. Government is slowly taking away lot of powers from beaureocrats. Ex. transition from Vat to GST. Just ask any GST officer what powers he had when VAT was there and how much power do they have now ? U will know the truth. UPSC's current truth well spoken by former civil servant Mr. Avinash Dharmadhikari in his interview bt it's in marathi.
Ta ta tinha ta ta tinha.... 😂😂 Yes sir ji, you are absolutely right, some of the civil servants just relish this kind of disgraceful show off! Life of an IPS/IAS officer has never been easy, and it's a very challenging job, something which no one really talks about, and yes it's not expected to be easy because administrative services are very challenging, but at the same time there are so many ppl on youtube, some teachers, who glorify this job so much that there's just nothing beyond it. Which is not right. I read a book by the famous IPS Rakesh Maria ji some time back 'Let Me Say It Now' and that book really shows all the struggles of an IPS officer. Rakesh ji has been very candid and honest in describing all the challenges in this job, which he dealt with very bravely....
Really commendable video. I have been preparing since 2019. I gave 2 serious attempts and than took a break to start my startup which didn’t succeed and now I have a option for start my traditional family business which is doing well but my parents still want me to continue preparation for a simple fact ki “ paisa hai but abh izzat chahiye samaj m , ek fame chahiye” to which I have no answer. I feel many in society can reciprocate with my story.
Saxena ji k pas Family ka Paisa ha, lekin Social Media pr Saxena ji, Gareeb Dalit or Adiwasi Bacho ko mil rhe Reservation ka Virodh krte najar aayege, jinke Pas Nah Baap Dada ki jameen ha, Na hii Baap Dada ka bne banaya Paisa
@@DalitShiv_Nagwanshi very humbly I will say that my father was a clerk in a paper firm. He built everything himself. So koi family paisa nahi tha. Second I did my Btech on loan. Thirdly saxena ji never oppose reservation, infact my closest friend who is a dalit from Agra himself advocates that it should be diluted slowly as he doesn’t require it. Last I pray to god that god should remove toxicity from your mind.
4:37 yes sir million dollar question...This is what I do not understand, if you have been selected, then preparing for the next year means you have snatched the seat of a capable person.
Upsc is destroying millions of youth's life in just two hours. Society needs to understand selection in upsc is not a parameter of success. Millions of youth are just wasting most productive years of life in mose unpredictable, uncertain exam just for society sake.Society shall restructured to understand the future needs of India. Bureaucracy is not the only way to gain success and serve the country. There are millions of type of success and in millions way you can server your nation. We need restructuring in society. Just don't waste your youth for government jobs preparation. Otherwise your children have to suffer, they have to also waste like you to get a job.
As of now, india needs huge contribution in scientific output. How many indian scientists got Nobel in scientific research ? And these IITians are running after UPSC or investment banks.. they are not going after scientific research..
Hello Amit ji..I am a regular viewer of both your channels and I rarely do comment on your videos. But I couldn't stop myself because you are spitting the facts and revealing the dark side of this so-called 'glamorous' lives of a civil servant. I must say this is need of the hour and this session is an eye opener for all the Indian youths preparing for any govt exams specially UPSC/PSC. My cousin is 1982 batch IAS officer, retired from Secretary rank, Government of India last year. I completely relate with this video. I know what challenges and hardships one has to face being a civil servant including frequent transfer postings, work pressure under political and social environment and what not. Thanks for sharing this video. The only fact which I would like to share as per my experience is that : Pehle ke zamane me ( early 1990's- 2015) boht izzat, shohrat aur glamour milta tha but reality yahi hai ab wo daur nhi raha..It will keep vanishing in coming years.
The mindset of celebrating ias , ips should be stopped . If anyone needs to ne celebrated its all taxpayers and entrepreneurs who are creating jobs. We talk about developed country but how will country be developed if we don't focus on HEALTHCARE, RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT? All briliant minds from AIIMS ,IIT leaving their field for upsc .
Consultant game on sir. Thankyou for eye opener....I have really taken your advice past 2 months and I'm now back on right track in many aspect. Your content is truly a guiding force and tool for all us 90s kids.
Valid point- out of 1000 vacancy, 500 are occupied by people who have already cleared it before n appearing on the upsc list every year just to improve rank.
Hi sir, recently in karnataka udupi, 22 year old lady Mcom passed & got depressed , after giving so many competitive exams & frustrated & sucided death Where is our society moving In private sector job, Employer will ask Education gap, Employment gap, less salary, not getting good job, work life balance to youngsters in india
In history we have studied Social reformers . To bring about any reform in any society's first step is to create awareness of what is happening in that society. I have been recently following many such speakers on RU-vid, few of them u have also mentioned. But I must say.... You are going to create something very unique and very helpful for the society which will help generations to come. I hope you get many more followers.
Your video on y not to choose govt job was damn good. You touched the reality without bring idealism in it ( which all is a myth, I realise it as i grow older now, everything taught to us since childhood was a myth. Values can become ones enemy in this world. So much of narrow mindedness, politics for so low things! 🤦 The worry is that I would also become like them!)
Very nicely put and this should reach to maximum people.this is unfortunate and worrying when so many people are running behind inefficient govt jobs and wasting their time. And many sensationalizing these jobs misleading youth.
Good to hear that someone is trying to tell truth I have been tried for 4 time and invested 5 years of my young age.. Nothing solid got in my hand… Fortunately I got job in Dubai as bank and I made a sizable amount amount in 10 years… Specially for men first get any solid professional degree then try for civil service It’s has 2 effects A. It will give u security for failure B. It will keep u motivated for longer period of time. It’s human psychology when u have back up then you play better… Real coaching faculty like K.Siddharta Shank Atom Hemanth Jha They silently run their coaching at reasonable rate.. Although they are writer of books… Few like Ojha and Vikas they are only making hype through social media…
Sir upsc ke chakkar me 5 sal chale gye. Ek baar interview v diya aur 1 marks se reh gya. Uske baad prelims hi nikla. Ab age 26 ho gyi h ..ab mai wapas apne field me jaana chahta hoon. Eco se graduation kri h maine.. finance and economics me hi apna career bnana chahta hoon but upsc ke is maayajaal se nikal nhi paa rha hoon.
Guruji, You have busted a myth I was in. Being Merchant Navy officer I used to crib about not spending my years after college for civil services, however it seems haven't missed anything great. Living in Gurgaon atleast have made good for myself and family. Thanks and Gratitude for making these life clarity content. More power to you.
I strongly agreed with ur upsc views in last videos that middle class people should leave this to lower classes. Middle class should aspire for something more. Really splendid views Sir.
Very nice contents sir.. you have a very deep understanding of so many areas and a very sharp intellect as well... Kindly keep providing straight forward videos... Social media is so full of manipulation and dark psychology. Thank you sir 🙏
Ye video Pichle Prelims Tak aati to log doubt karte par is Prelims ke baad to sab log agree karenge ki after 1-2 attempts that too after college there must be a good job in hand, and UPSC should be backup. There is no point in leaving job as the randomness has increased so much at the Prelims level
Sir , Dil se bol rha hu ye sab btane ke liye courage chahiye @salute you sir and your knowledge and observation is amazing , Hanuman ji ki kripa aap par bani rhe
Sir u are right i used to feel depressed that I'm nothing, iam not intelligent and all that after watching those influential videos of toppers but now i'm actually realizing what is actually beneficial Thnk u sir
Very true. Humble request to you sir make more vedios or some initiative in your own capacity to demystify the glamour created around civil services. It not only creating false hopes but at the same time leading to destroy prime time of youth age. This thought must be promoted.
Yes sir please bring more content regarding this topic ..Thanks a lot for giving such an biased review regarding the Coaching industries as well as UPSC.
Upse cse iss baar newest pattern ka paper liya hai, uske 3 gante bhi kaam hai 😒😷😪 non-maths walo ko nigaal gaya csat... Ytubers ke elimination method ko bhi elimiinate kar diya😹😅 gaurav kausal ne bhi chod diya job.. Ab unka coaching ka business chaluu... Woh bhi pre23 bhi nikal patee🤦♂️
Thanks for giveing me such a geartful advice one of broth is prepare for the upsc but he didn't clear he keep trying I also started but I quit after 2 attempts that is a one type of loop of social media majority people don't know how the things work in this system
Real purpose of these posts is being forgotten in the disguise of the perks listed. And this is also a real threat to the country because the future officers are not clear of what they are responsible for.! This video is exactly correct!!!
Kuch baat to sahi btaayi hai iss bnde ne ki UPSC hi sb kuch nhi life me Corrux of the matter is that if u achieve your goal then it is best thing for you but if you are not able to achieve it then change your goal and also take this decision as soon as possible bcz we have only one life and we have a lot of things to do
The kind of clarity you provide about any topic you choose for your video is just amazing sir. YOU ARE A SOCIAL REFORMER., A GREAT TEACHER OF CURRENT AFFAIRS FOR THE POPULATION.
But we don't count the risk and reward ratio which is very risky....this year around 32lakh aspirants have applied but only 16lakh attempted irrespective of the total sanction is 930+. ... still we are also trapped in this vicious cycle.....
Excellent video.. Those who are in services other than IAS remain unsatisfied all the life.. What we need is to remove the permanence of service from the system. Those who are selected should be given a tenure of 10 years and specific targets. If he or she can achieve then post completion of 10 years he or she should be hire on contract basis. Many coaching classes motivate candidates telling them that they can change the system but the reality is the candidates are selected to maintain the system not to change it. Waiting for your next videos on this topic.
Sir bahut shaandaar vichaar, being a mother mai samajh gai, aapke sare videos mai dekhti hoon par youth ko kaise samjhaye yeh saara gyaan, kisi aur se kaise karwaye, middle class kya kare, kyuki samay rehte cheezen samajh bahut kam logon ko aati hai, youth ko anubhav se toh seekhna he nahi hai, khud takrana hai jaakar
Dhamakedar Mazzzzzzzza Aa Gayaa Amit Guru Ji! 🔥🔥🔥 Please bring an IAS Officer and Other Civil Services Officers to bring out the current reality and future trend of Govt Services 💫
