Hello and welcome to my channel. This DIY channel is dedicated to the Overlanding Build of my 2019 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro and my offroad adventures with it. I hope you follow me through the entire build experience and I hope that somewhere along the way, we can learn from each other. Please be a Tacoma-buddy and hit the like, subscribe and notification bell buttons... cheers!
PURPOSE OF THIS VIDEO:
This is a DIY installation of CMC (Cab Mount Chop) plate to eliminate tire rubbing after upsizing tires and installing 1.25 inch wheel spacers. This video shows you the step-by-step process (from prep to welding) on how to do a CMC plate install.

Hello Alex. These Tacomas are great vehicles as is. Once owners start modifying it's big bucks to already expensive vehicle. Your modifications look factory fresh, they way it should be. Congrats on job well done!

Hey thanks for recognizing Breeze Rides! I'm actually putting my mods into good use and trials as I've been hitting more trails and getting invites to tackle more technical trails. Really enjoying this but you are absolutely right about the spend, these mods are not cheap! Thanks for tuning in as always. Take care.

I’ve seen many owners hammer the body seam towards the outside and get flusher/flatter results, which also allows the plastic liner to flatten better. Otherwise you still have that small hump where the body seam is folded over.

I wish I new this sooner =) but so far, everything worked out well the way I did it (except for when I reverse, there is very minor rubbing) maybe bending it the other way would totally eliminate all the rubbing. Oh well, I'm a little late for that now but thanks for your input, I hope others will read your comment... thanks for tuning in Hazon!

I'm lucky to find a welder/fabricator who's willing to do any type of work. He doesn't normally do automotive stuff but luckily he was willing to help and he does good work to boot! Thanks for tuning in Teddy!

Too much butchering involved to just get 33" tires to fit, if people would do 3" body lift & 3" suspension lift there would be no need to do all this to fit 33" tires you would gotten 6" lift with no rubbing involved, the 3" body lift has to be installed rather then just getting a 6" suspension lift or will not give the clearance to fit the 33" tires on.

Have you done a lift? What type of lift would you suggest as I am considering of doing it.

@@modXELA The kit you want is sold by Suspension connection made by Day Star Products, the kit# PA5613 Selling for 395.90$ plus get 5% off that price would be about 373$ on sale price now which is a steal being other offroad shops are selling them 578$-507$ doing bodylift is not all that hard its patience & time consuming can take full day & half to install check it out google search 3" bodylifts for tacoma I will be doung this lift in near future on my 17 trd offroad.
