Externally hinged ,grind the top and bottom of the hinge off tap the pin out.

Hi William, even if you did do that, you'd still have the dog bolts between the door leaf and frame that would keep it in position

paul potato they are available PAS24 security tested (Secured by Design) and certified for both opening inwards and outwards :)

What is the strength difference between this and a good quality composite door

Hi, thanks for your comment. While we understand composite doors come in different grades of strength, all of our steel front doors feature the same grade of steel and our 19-point locking system as standard, securing the whole door leaf into the frame. They also have steel reinforcement channels internally and additional boxes protecting all the locks. Things have come a long way since this video was made.

why is the white door made out of plastic?

@Geri Macdonald incorrect unless you bought a solidor with wooden block inside this is how easy it is.

@@rollthetape88. Most PVC doors have a steel ot aluminium chassis the PVC and glazing is attached to. It would t be this easy. But it would be easier then the blue door.

@@jugganaut33 that maybe, but look at what fails, its the insert, the infill panel that is weak, these door are notriously poor ask any police officer. Thats why solid block doors like solidoor are a premium.

Hi. at 0:41 there's a dark blue door shown with a really nice letter plate. It looks slightly different to the normal standard letterplate option on your front doors. Is it possible for us to have the one in the video fitted when buying a door from you? Or is the standard one the only option?

Im sorry but that first door was not a real door. If you look closely it is like 1mm thick. Silly comparison really. You could have at least used a real door and given him a sledgehammer or something.

For internal doors can brass handles be fitted on these doors instead

Hi @kipper, thanks for your message. Unfortunately we don't have brass handles available. We have had customers in the past have our handles electro plated though to match existing colour schemes.

On the website do you include fitting costs in the price?

Do you need a specialist installer for your doors with the multipoint locking system. I live in Edinburgh.

Hi Lee, thanks for your message. Our doors can be installed by any competent builder or tradesperson. A lot of our customers also do the install themselves. We provide details fitting instructions and also have an installation video available for reference.

What we are getting on new house all doors with triple glazing laminated windows 🪟. I am interested on what happens if fire fighter needed access do they have special opening for them

Hi David, thanks for your comment. In regards to the emergency services they have access to tools that the general public don't, they will gain access as quickly as they can through any opening into the property, window or door.
