Billy Blanks was another great martial Arts action star in late 80's through the 90's. Im ready for a A Last Dragon sequel or a animated series. Michael Jai White always making movies this guy stay working. With streaming like netflix, and Amazon theyre lots of ways to see independent movies you just need the funding.
I’m glad there are brothers out there who show we can rock the martial arts angle just as well as the Asians. Blanks shouldve done more with his talents. Wasn’t a good actor but it shouldn’t matter much. Wesley is fantastic very good actor. Michael Jai is fantastic. Good enough actor. Taimak should’ve stayed working the whole time cuz he could’ve done a lot of great stuff after the last dragon. Not sayin it’s necessary but definitely cool. I think sometimes Michael Jai whines a little too much about racism sometimes but there are some I do agree with on him too as a black man myself. There are roles I wish he had for real though like Luke Cage or War Machine or even just make up a new Kung Fu fighting nigga who can be a modern day icon like what Wesley did as Blade (which was dope too) but what can you do. Damn, Steve James is another one. Fuckin cancer took him in the 90s. Guy was a beast. Was gonna be Jax Briggs in 1995’s Mortal Kombat. Was the best part of the first 3 American Ninja Movies. I mean I wish there were more black guys who did stuff like these but I’m also grateful for what we have. Honestly I hope Taimak puts some stuff out there cuz he’s almost 60 now. Times ticking for him to rock the ring or cage or arena with his skillz.
Awesome! Taimak and Michael Jai White are two great action hero. It's imperative that young black kids see their own image in positive and leading roles.
Very nice Mr d'angelo it was very nice to see black men's that r supporting each other hat off to taimak and Micheal jai white as well and I will go out and support your new movie Mr white
Now watch Taimak and Michael Jai White on VladTV. Same Topics But Taimak’s Responses Are Very Different on Black Issues Today. Michael’s is the same to the date! I Grew Up on The Last Dragon. My children and I watch it still.... The Interview Was Good But disheartening when he answered on “OUR”/Black people! I’ll Still Love Last of the Dragon Because it was part of my upbringing. But.... Damn!
It really would be great to see these two men starring in a movie 🍿 together or even a series of movies here's a thought an action television show like Matt Houston or even Miami vice or something
I took The Last Dragon seriously more than Jim Kelly's stuff because I saw real Kung Fu skill in Taimak and starved for more through the 80s WAITING for him to play a serious cop or something with Kung Fu skills but because Eddie Murphy set a standard they only thought the black jokester was marketable.
Think the Vlad interviews were after this interview. So, Mike didn’t have ill feelings toward Taimak at this point. I found it strange how they both greeted each other with out shaking hands in the beginning. You can definitely see Taimak feels uncomfortable when MJw is talking about being black listed from king fu movies in the early days.
Yeah that might be because he's biracial. Black and Italian. He might be leaning more towards the other side. But his skin tone tells us what's most dominant.
He may think the world is color blind, it ain't! When a white man sees you, he sees a black man, what you think is irrelevant. My parents prepared me and my siblings to be intellectually and emotionally ready to confront a world that will not accept us, therefore, I will not be in denial of who I am nor allow my potential to be negated! Failure is a lesson you learn from in order to learn success, I expect obstacles in life and I expect to overcome them. We, black people, have a history in America, 400 plus years of slings and arrows, and building a nation that would not be because of our ancestors' free labor! We have nothing to be ashamed of!
