Just bought this pallette since it was on sale, I don't have a decent pallette, and I'm a beginner in the makeup world. This was definitely my first "higher-end" pallette for sure, and you can just tell the quality is amazing. For someone who has no clue what they are doing, this pallette is SO easy to use. I got a hang of it very quickly! They blend and apply very well too. I love how smoothly they apply. I'd definitely recommend this to beginners like me tbh. Also the colors are GORGEOUS imo. I loved how the shades looked on me.
it's so weird to me that some people liked it, because imo the shadows were super light and had so little payoff, like literally less than a NYX palette. I held on to it because it was expensive and I loved the packaging, but this year I finally gave up and decluttered it. I'd bought it because of this review and I was so disappointed.
Nikki has always been great but this is the first time I've seen her be so....honest with her reviews? Not to throw shade and say she wasn't before but I personally feel like this is one of her most real review.
+Ger Kaulitz idk I feel like she gets sent a lot of stuff, not just this palette? All beauty gurus get sent products if they have enough presence so yeah. But I do think that she's refreshingly honest in this video, still can't think of a specific reason why though
Ger Kaulitz Usually it's the other way around. But Trust me, Nikki gets sent PR packages up the wazoo. Nothing wrong with it since she's earned her presence and shown that she is a reliable respectable MUA. But again, I've never seen her *this* honest and it's, as Jessie Zhou said, refreshing.
Exactly what I first noticed! It was almost surprising seeing her being so sincere about a product, actually saying she wasn't really that impressed and basically saying "it's not worth it". Like, maybe it's just me, but it's not really that often you see her disliking a popular/hyped up product, and that doesn't really make her that credible. I still love her videos though, but it's definitely just so nice having her seem more honest about a product where the cons actually ended up outweighing the pros for her.

Beauty Bakerie is a marvelous black-owned makeup company. I've been obsessed with their lip whips for awhile now. They really do not come off until you use oil to remove them. I've gone all day without a touch up.

The Naked palettes have always been very overrated to me. I prefer the Lorac Pro shadows, you do get fallout if you don't tap your brush but the quality is much better.
?? The eyes are the windows to the mind palette is completely matte--there are a few palettes in that format in the Stila collection so you're probably thinking of a different one. Sure, all nude palettes are similar, but I was struck by how much of a dupe the colours are.

I own all of the naked basic palettes and three years later I still use them all the time. I’ve collected countless palettes over the years and these are the only ones that never leave my vanity. They are indeed timeless and wearable for any occasion. I actually bought a backup for naked basics 1 because I’m so worried it will be discontinued.
+James Arthur FR actually it's worth it, technically you save money over 2 basics and q brush. You get 12 shades, one basic has only 6, a larger mirror than the basics, stronger packaging, and a brush.
I really love the fact that you tell us what brushes you use. Not a lot of youtubers do that, which is a shame because a good brush can transform a look
Depends on the eyeliner formula. Pencil liners are prone to smudging while gel and liquid smudge less. Also lining too close to the waterline will likely smudge. My tips are: 1. use an eyeshadow primer (UD, Smashbox, Too Faced), 2. Use a liquid eyeliner close to the top lash line and allow it to dry for 1 minute before curling lashes 3. If liquid liner is not an option, then set gel or pencil liner with translucent powder (Laura Mercier) on an eyeshadow brush 4. Bring Q-tips, eyeliner and/or translucent powder with you for touch ups/ clean ups. I hope these tips help you as they helped me, an oily hooded eyelid gal.
If you are an eyeshadow lover who leans towards neutral looks, then it's a good buy. UD palettes will last you quite a while and they're good pigmentation/ easy to blend. But if you have other neutral matte palettes already then it's probably not worth splurging. I'm set on getting this one as I love to use matte eyeshadows because they're great for daily makeup and can accompany other eyeshadow palettes that lack mattes.
am ithe only one that hates the first 3 naked palletes? idk i think they are very overrated. i cant speak for the new one because i have yet to try. i kinda just think the naked palletes could be better for the prices. i dont find them to ve pigmented at all. thats just my opinion though
