Definitely lost edges. Also, I love all your layering. So often I’m watching and think your painting looks great, then you carry on and it just keeps getting better. You have a real talent. I would love to see instructional videos. Thanks!
Really love your loose style. What type of "scruffy brush" did you use to add the reddish flowers at the 2:30 mark - was it an old brush that you somehow aged or abused to give you that very loose look? I find foliage/trees difficult to paint ...
I like how you add the black (and white) sketchy detail parts AFTER the watercolor. I just love the whimsy of your art. Is there a way to teach that? I'm not sure.
@@KateBauerArt Just looking at your supplies list. Do you really use a sketchpad for your watercolor painting? The one I saw was 60 pound. Is that heavy enough, do you think?
@@jodycourt The supplies listed are what I use. I use a watercolor strathmore sketchbook for these sketches/urban sketches. They do hold a lot of water, which is what appealed to me. However they can be hit or miss in regards to quality. I've found there's a "good" side, and "bad" side. I've also found it's best to reduce "scrubbing" as it mulches up more than a higher quality paper (all similar issues i've found with other sketchbooks)
