Pennsylvania along with most other states are losing too much of their past; their historic structures that show where we came from. Once they're gone, they're gone. I live on the small farm that I was born on and my Dad and mom farmed and that I now own. When I was growing up our farm was surrounded by large dairy farms on all sides. They're all gone now and I'm surrounded by housing developments on three sides and an industrial park on the other side. The spring fed farm pond in the woods that we used to camp at, fish in and ice skate on is gone now, filled in to make way for cookie cutter plastic houses. The large spring in the farm that used to be behind me that had good ice cold water flowing out of it and forming a stream that ran down through the meadow where we used to catch minnows and crayfish is gone, filled in to make more space for the clone homes of today. In warm evenings of summer we would sit out on the porch and listen to the whippoorwills, bobwhites and the calls of great horned owls and barn owls. They've been gone for decades! There are no more box turtles, toads, frogs, salamanders, barn swallows, bats, snakes or pheasants.......ALL GONE! The smells of freshly worked soil, the sweet smell of cut hay.........GONE. The quality of life........Gone! I've been told "that's progress," I think not, at least no to me!
i agree with everything you said. I live outside of philly and this area is losing farm land very fast. It wont be long before lancaster loses its farm land.
I'm with you 1000%!!! we are loosing Mother Nature and all I will say is,,,,,,, you don't what you've got until it's GONE. People had better wake the hell up and start demanding Marshlands around their neighborhoods, and woods, and streams, the bees are having trouble, places in Europe are culling birds and squirells like they were a disease!!! spraying PESTICIDES ALL OVER THE DAMN PLACE and KILLING the very Earth that provides us life. One more time in case you missed it,,,,,,, You don't know what you've got until it's gone. Better wake up folks.
that is a beautiful memory to share and thank you. even in the city, i miss the heavenly & heady scent of Spring. that too has been gone these past many years, along w/ the gentle, soothing rays of a golden sun!
@@megenberg8 Thank you for your kind remarks. I was truly fortunate to be raised in, what at least to me, was a bit of paradise. It is sad though, still living here and knowing what it used to be like and what it is like now. Many people would call this "progress" I'm certainly NOT one of them! I long for things to be the way they used to be though I know that can never be. I feel sorry for those who will never get to "live in paradise" even though they will never know what they missed and most won't even care!
I bet there was a squatter there, and didn't want you to know they were there, so decided to scare you off. But, I would have brought someone with me. I pack, and I can handle myself in most situations, but I would always have at least one other person with me who was equal in ability as myself. Be safe!

Glad you filmed this before its gone. Its all ripped apart now. Doors are ripped off, broken windows and its fenced off. Community is trying like hell to save it. There's a few abandoned mansions around this place too. I managed to find them when i filmed this place a few months ago.
Oh I know. I drive by it daily on my way to work. They had a salvage company come in a week ago to take things with them. The inside doesn't look anything like what I saw. Those guys also took down every board to let light in while they removed stuff. Lots in this area
I was in the Gettysburg and York areas this weekend and could not believe the amount of abandoned historic structures I saw. I love that people like you are documenting them before its too late. Seeing homes like this being demolished makes me want to cry!
@@AbandonedSteve It's nationwide. This is how our rulers rewrite history. It's all been done before. If you want to know who our rulers are just deduce who (or which group) it is you are not allowed to criticize.
yeah, it's a shame. But the one side is all big business, corporations, money and power and that seems to be what's overtaking humanity to the detriment of those that value the environment & people on the other side. Money is all powerful and usually wins. sad to say. America is unraveling & soon, if the FFP is reinstalled, we go the way of 1930's Germany.
A treasure is being lost whether from demolition or decay. At the same time I have to admit the place would be money pit and I wouldn't want to make the payments and do the work needed for its upkeep.---Somebody, please at least save the woodwork and other fittings that can be used and appreciated elsewhere.---Those noises: sure didn't sound like the sounds older buildings make; so sharp and loud. There was some energy or effort behind the making of those noises.
I hate developers. I hope this house can be saved. Its absolutely beautiful and should be preserved as a historical site. Developers have no conscience they will easily destroy the pass without even a second thought
I got those too!! Could've done without the scary music so we could hear better!! 7:58 the guy filming had someone with him, that's him answering "yeah"...js
Definitely heart stopping when the noises happened. Loved the wood work inside the house and the stone work of the barns is amazing. So sad they’re going to destroy it instead of saving it. Thanks for another great video!
What a fabulous house. If I ever won the lottery, I would LOVE to get one of these old beauties and restore it to its former beauty. New construction has ZERO character and doesn't even look nice. It is so sad to me to see these homes in this condition. Thanks for the tour!
@@AbandonedSteve They don't want people to have any real craftsmanship to compare to their shoddy mcmansions and builder grade homes made of plastic and drywall.
Those noises were to me, Paranormal..If only Wall Could Talk, was once a Beautiful farm house with a family etc..Beautiful Location, Will change Forever if developed...Sad..
If a building is in a decaying state surely there would be many things that might cause odd bangs? A door might bang due to a breeze but not stay slammed shut, especially if the hinges were worn out, causing the door to be a bit out of alignment with the frame. A shutter that has been hanging on by a screw might finally fall off. Pipes might expand & contract due to the temperature changes caused by sun & wind moving around. Bits might fall off of ceilings & plaster mouldings etc.
Scary looking place. 😱😳 I lived in an old farmhouse for 9 years a long time ago. Doors slammed...my cat became frantic, heard footsteps, my kids all fell out of their beds within five minutes of each other... etc. You get the picture. Very creepy place. It all began after my daughter was born.
WHAT AN EXPANSIVE HOUSE, MUST HAVE BEEN GLORIOUS IN ITS DAY. THANK YOU FOR TOUR. NO FILTHY LANGUAGE LIKE SOME OTHERS, VERY ENJOYABLE. CAMILLE AUSTRALIA
This is my first time seeing one of your videos I saw a little clip on this one over at Top5s channel . Thanks I really enjoy what I see and looking forward to catching up and watching all your other videos Liked n' Subscribed Cheers
Love the video definitely something going on inside it. I also heard voices a few times but wasn't sure if u came with anyone else since this was the first video of yours I caught. I sure hope they stop the demolition of this home (history) is being lost to the next generation..thank u for showing us! 😊
Thanks Abandoned Steve for another really enjoyable video you always did a great job doing your explores I really enjoyed this video about the Urbex | Exploring Massive Abandoned Farm House with Barns - Creepy Noises Inside and I can't wait to see your next video and God Bless you my friend and thanks again.
Sounds like the metal door to the coal chute slamming into its iron frame on my childhood home in Wyandotte,Michigan.when the autumn wind would howl and push it open, then when the gust subsided, the impact of the door closing would shake the stone and mortar sub basement with a level of Wahaboomm!!! That made the entire house buzz from the raw force of it,I suppose. Discovering what it was really didnt help all that much. Just plain wet yer pampers violently loud and never predictable.Kept us all pretty stressed as I recall.
This has to be the most beautiful farm house I have ever seen. So many old world details in each room. That house is a confusing maze with three levels. That staircase was.epic. I can imagine how amazing it would have been filled with, the first family. Its a shame it can't be saved. My guess is a passed family member was making their presence known. Great building and explore.
That house felt haunted just watching on film, but wow what a beautiful house, seams so much bigger inside than out, be a shame if it gets knocked down as has loads of character and an unknown specter !!!, residents need to fight more for that club house, would be great, love from the UK x
Cool old house!! Looks a lot smaller from the outside. Is that the first time in all your years of exploring that you have encountered unexplained noises? Have you ever seen things you couldn't explain? Great seeing videos from you again!
I hear a whisper right before 8:00 followed by what I thought was you replying “yeah”. I heard voices throughout the video as others have mentioned. And those noises sound just like when someone is walking up the steps and then bangs the door at my cousins 100+ year old house. Deffo made me hold my breath.
This house was amazing but I was scared after hearing the first noise. I was afraid you would get pushed over the stairs! I would like to see it restored. Thank you!
damn I'd shit myself on the first strange sound/noise, I know it could've been the house walls cracking or pipes, but anyway ! oh btw ... get a better lamp man with more throw, a thrunite, acebeam or imalent :D
Steve, you're the master. Stellar camera work. This video was EXTREMELY scary to watch, let me tell ya that!! WHAT could that have been? Such a defined noise. VERY eerie. Phenomenal job. The history you have in that area is incredible.
Wow! You are a brave soul, I wouldn't have stopped, probaby gone to the source of the bang. Closed every room door, including cabinets explored. If the sound continued, and if a door was reopened. Then I would have left. Something definitely didn't want you there. Glad you are out safely sir. Thank you for the scary video.😫
Just swung by the house this afternoon, sad to see it got fenced up and vandalized in the last week. I've shot a few movies on that property over the last three years (was hoping to do another), it's a really cool place and I've had a lot of respect for it. Never went inside the house, haven't heard anything about it being haunted either. Those noises were freaky though! Hopefully the property will get saved somehow, we'll see. Awesome stuff Steve, thanks so much for posting this.
I think the houses is going to be demolished this week. They brought in the fence last week and started removing all the boards and certain valuable stuff in the house.
I think it’s stuck in appeals at the moment. Basically it looks like they’re prepped for the demo but nothing’s fully approved. Hopefully there’s still a chance to save it, but the salvagers tearing the interior apart hasn’t helped at all.
HOLY COW,, did you go in there alone???? I love to explore and I've gone in a few old places here on the Palouse, but it's still very scary to do alone, bravo for going BACK in after the noise scare!
You are one brave guy. I would be in the next state after hearing that bang the first time. Please be careful, in your explores. You should take someone else with you to be safer. Good video as always. Thank you Steve;)
Very cool spot! I love these old farmhouses. I haven't been in too many of them myself but I definitely need to start making some trips to the county to get places like this. Good work.
Great bathtubs, love claw foot tubs! Also the windows and panel walls are in great shape. The bedroom with the sun coming in with the fireplace on the left was so pretty. Hope they take the good items out before they tear it down. Seems to be in good solid shape for its age. As for the door slam sound, I think someone was up above trying to get you out. It's a good idea to have a buddy or a group, but I understand the being alone reason too. Thank you for braving this!
