Love Lou, he's gone through much. Glad he's still alive and performing. Nobody above him - nobody aside him. He's the voice of Foreigner, nothing could ever change that.
I just joined a journey tribute band cuz they lost their singer and I showed them my Lou Gramm chops and now it's a Foreigner act!!!! Gimme a comment if you'd go see this band.
The crazy part is that Mark Rivera is actually the guy who played that sax riff on the original studio recording of the song!!! (Everything except the Junior Walker sax solo on the bridge, that is...) Truly a full-circle moment for him, I'd have to think!...
Agreed, he co wrote " I want to know what love is" but didn't get credited with it, Mick Jones is talented but sometimes his greed caused a few people to not get credit while co writing some songs with him.
Hard to believe with what Lou has gone through he can still perform to this level. He lives among us common folks in upstate New York......no gates....no fences. He is one of a kind.
John L I only wish he’d come out with a NEW Christian cd like he did in 2009!!! I get it he’s doing the Foreigner songs for his fans but his debut worship cd was truly inspiring! I blame the Christian music industry for not taking that cd more serious!!!
루가 1:43주님의 어머니 I think he was the one who played the basic sax riff in the original recording (Junior Walker played the solo, but Rivera played all the rest)
He still has a beautiful voice even after all the health issues he’s going through! Beautiful memories with all his songs specially with urgent! Keep it up Lou!!
Another Outstanding performance by Lou Gramm. He's still got the voice and the balls to go with it! In 30 years I've not heard anyone that could do this song BUT Lou Gramm. Same goes for the saxophone player Mark Rivera who played those stunning cords in the Urgent video clips. Just as Lou, Mark shows he's still got it! Hats off to both of you! You're legends! 😘😘
Billy’s a class act by recognizing and honouring Mick and Lou! Mick’s still rockin in his 70’s! And Lou is da man with one of the greatest rock voices of his time!
Amazing how time goes so quickly by. 25 short years ago these guys were the epitome of what a "Rock Star" should look like. No longer. Not sure WHAT Lou has going with that suit jacket with the stripes on his sleeve .. but, time marches on. ~~~~~ lol ~~~~ ...
It's exciting to see Lou Gramm giving more of his magic, with all the power of his great rock voice and all his creation for so many unforgettable songs (along with Mick), after everything he went through and battled, a great man without a doubt. Congratulations to the great Billy for the greatness of having brought them together, the whole band is a delight
You rock Lou. Have just brought your book. I grew up to wirh Foreigner. An indelible imprint on my forming soul. And what an intense and sexy man you are! Don't evert stop performing. Mick Jones you and Lou are ingenious song writers, up with the best of all time. The Song writers Hall of Fame is how it should be with you two in it Thank you for all you have given us.!!
Man! Lou has made some great strides in his volcals within the last few years. There was a while I thought it was never gonna come back. But he sounds much better.
Love it that the sax player had played with Foreigner in Farm aid in 1985 and prior and now with BJ, it's a true reunion too see him play with members of Foreigner again and you can tell they were having a blast!
This is just Fab! Luv every second of it. Foreigner come to SAfrica - I'll be there!!!. Billy Joel, good on you for pulling Foreigner in. Looks like Lou is doing better than ever. Mick is still legendary on the guitar. Well done! 💓💓💓
Mick Jones has got to sense this incredible chemistry he has with Lou Gramm. Heck, I'm listening to this the next day and am overwhelmed! These two guys got to do a mini Foreigner reunion tour with Al Greenwood, Dennis Elliot and the incredible multi instrmentalist, Ian McDonald (original Foreigner members). The classic rock fan base would have a heart attack! Killer clip. Thanks for posting and kudos to Billy Joel for inviting Lou and Mick to do a song or two.
may of 1988 i saw the atlantic records 40th anniversary concert there at the garden and i was stoked to see a zeppelin reunion but foreigner's energy left a big impression on me
He does sound great! Thank God he made it through his illness and that he and Mick patched things up. They are still a couple of the greatest that rock has ever produced. God bless them both!
Wow you must be listening to a different version than me. Love Lou but he doesn't sound good anymore. Kelly sounds much better IMO. And it's ok everyone gets old.
Mormon Rocker does he sound like he does when he was 20, no he doesn't. He sounds alright he, for what he's been through. I think one thing that messes people up is watching him perform, I just listened to him and didn't watch and he sounds petty good.
