I disagree. When interest rates get cut the market will drop. And it will be a big drop like 15% plus. Check in the past every time rates were cut the market dropped.

One wise idea I recently heard articulated like this: "Act Your Wage!" Meaning stop going Broke, spending as if you are Rich! Long version: "Stop buying things you don't Need, with Money you don't Have, to Impress People You Don't Like!" Of course, old habits are hard to give up, and we are pushed to follow the "I Want That" Train, without thinking, or Reasoning out "Do I Really NEED That?"

tom i have a question. short term yields are higer than the long term yields also, after 4-6 months max, we are going to have rate cuts. what do you think about that? Thanks for the great video. Tom are you taking into consideration of who is running the fed? Does it matter that they don’t seem to have a clue what they are doing. They are probably told what to do, by someone. I would think that would change everything. Thanks again

Tom comparing to Dec2021 is really problematic, it was super high PEs and after the COVID liquidity injection and YOLO TINA investment sentiment. Interest rates were 0 then, that's like 0 gravity as you say

Another recommendation, consider looking at the money market as % of M2, because there's a lot more money since the 2000s, and the interest rate was +/-0 since 2008, so 4-5% aren't high interest rates, and in the past more money used to park in money markets relative to M2

Personal consumption is only up because of inflation. If inflation were at zero % I believe personal consumption would be flat to slightly up. People, for the most part, are spending what they NEED to spend to survive. I don't believe there are crowds of people spending $'s that they don't have. Most people are being very selective about where they spend their dollars. I could be wrong but from what I'm seeing/experiencing there is not a lot of optimism about the overall economy. I, also, do not believe the FED unemployment numbers. They have been faking the #'s for months, if not years.

It’s never a good time to invest in stocks if the company is not solid and has a strong chance to thrive and grow. It’s never a bad time to invest in properly priced and thriving companies. Don’t buy trash. Don’t buy after the run. Spend your money and don’t let others spend it. Do not let the herd control you. Good job Tom!

High rates, fiscal policy, high taxes, huge government overhead, all attribute to inflation. But it’s the consumer’s responsibility and we need more unemployment before lowering fed borrowing “tax”

I think big companies are using AI to improve efficiency and cut costs including cutting jobs. This is accelerating and once the panic begins the stock market will go down sharply. I'm keeping over 50% cash in my portfolio and buying undervalued reits as they will go up when interest rates go down. I appreciate any advice as I'm a new investor

You may want to buy some RKLB. G4 to G5 geomagnetic storm due to hit Saturday 5-11-2024. Geomagnetic storms of this size usually take out some communications satellites. The sun spot that shot out the coronal mass ejections CMEs is approximately the same size as the spot that created the well known Carrington Event. Hopefully everything will be fine, but the probability is high there will be damage. Perhaps damage to electrical grids as well. Check NOAA space weather if you want to watch the measurements as it hits real time.

What you have here are really one-sided arguments. What about foreign capital leaving after interest rate drops? What about most companies not doing well outside of the big techs? What about the danger of WW3 to threaten world economy? What about the trade war with China escalating worsening inflation? What about de-dollarization causing the FED hesitant to reduce rates?
