RIP, David Byron, Lee Kerslake, Gary Thain and Ken Hensley! You will all be forever missed! Thanks for all the awesome musical memories you created for us Uriah Heep fans! May God bless you!
I didn't know Hensley passed away, in Nov '20. Four out of the five in the video gone. How Mick Box can continue with the name "Uriah Heep" is beyond me.

@@bernhardherrmann9230 Maybe Heep can survive the test of time now that technology has permitted many bands to live on via the internet . I think they did enough to be ‘different’ from others.
I'm 63, saw these guys at the Philadelphia Spectrum MANY TIMES. They always rocked supreme. Lee YOU CUT A SWATH IN THIS WORLD. LOVE TO one of the greatest drummer musicians power house smart player ever. Hats off
Summer of 1974, after Sophmore year in HHS. Climax Blues Band opened, then Manfred Mann's Earth Band; and Uriah Heap the Headliner. Spectrum, Philadelphia. PA.
Love ❤️ and so happy I saw them w I was 15... now 64... oh how I wanted to see you on your 🇺🇸 tour again A forever love 💕 Uriah Heep from this Kentucky (Ohio) fan
On the 73 tour blue oyster cult opened for uriah heep my friend and I spent the night at the salt palace and purchased the front row. It was all kearns people on the front row, I was lighting joints and passing them up to the band, the front row got so out of hand with security the band stopped and told security to let us party, so after the singer bitched at security the show resumed. After the show a few friends and I went to the hilton and the band remembered me and we partyed all night. They are some cool people. I've partyed with many bands but nothing compares to the night with Uriah Heep, I was only a kid but I will never forget that night.
Wow, a classic. It's because of videos like this that the value of youtube can't be overstated. Many fans of these late '60s and '70s top bands never saw them live. Back in those days you were lucky to see a photograph!
I played in a rock band in my early 20's (back in the early 80's). We were practising in the living room when the mailman came by. One of our band members went to get the mail and there was a copy of "Easy Living" magazine. We spontaneously broke into a jam on the song "Easy Livin". I still smile about that now!
@@allonfollett8416 Seen them in 73 at Harrisburg PA Farm Show Arena with Mott The Hopple and Queen. 5.00 a ticket was up on stage as they were sitting up.
I remember how much I loved their albums back in those years. It sounds so awesome to hear them all these years later. I had the first 3 or 4 albums and gave them away about ten years ago. Great artwork on the covers too.
@RitchieBlackmoreTv My record collection in my youth was full of Uriah Heep vinals. It all began with "Very Heavy Very Humble". And yes, this song still ROCKS!!!!!
I saw them in Madison, WI in '74 with my cousin and her boyfriend... My first concert.. Also, the first time I'd ever seen or smelled weed before too! LOLOL! This was the song that put them on the map for me.. I was 14 at the time hahaha..
The band definitely holds up over time - at least to now. Lee Kerslake was a beast behind the drums, and his backing vocals were outstanding - maybe the best ever from behind a kit (very musical, can't imagine how difficult that is).
Why are you sorry? They're in the top 5 greatest hard rock bands of all time in my opinion. Plus, look at the amazing musicians they've had over the years. The best bass players ever for one. Gary Thain, John Wetton, Trevor Bolder, Bob Daisley...
You're not required to like music older than you, but if you dig history and go find the fountain of the origin of all. You might love it. ...love it. Not make love with it. ...all the same!
очень многие люди у нас в России с глубоким пиитетом относятся к этой музыке и этим действительно великим музыкантам! Я среди них! Хотя мне "всего" 64. Как пели Beatles ""When i,m sixty four" ! ;-)
Девид Байрон как вокалист это золото эпохи рока .потеря этого уникального голоса и организатора группы невосполнииа .но по моему мнению, замена Байрона на Лоутона ничего не решала.Это просто борьба Хенсли за первенство.Андрей
My top two or three bands from that era. From the first moment listening to their sound and vocals back in the early 70s, I was hooked and a lifelong Heepster. And how friggin' cool is David in that silk suit?
Back then I fancied myself as an intellectual agnostic. When I came back to the faith, i was amazed at the amount of "Christian rock" that wasn't touted as Christian rock. Theres a great message in that song, as well as a great sound! May you walk with Christ for your easy living.
New to this band here because of (Lee's death/Ozzy connection)....what a fantastic drummer he was , even up to a year before his death he was still drumming/away on yutube,...this band from the early 70's was a little before my time but seems sad they didn't get the recognition like those other "old timers" still filling venues....*pre-Covid*.
