Hi everyone!! Today I decided to share the basic science on why urine screening is important for Type 1 Diabetics. You should always do your best to take care of your blood sugars to avoid damaging your kidneys’ ability to filtrate your toxins!!

I had my urinalysis when I had my period and my microalbumin/creatinine ratio was 170. I was so stressed out for 2 weeks and unable to sleep. Did it again after my period and it was down to 2.3. I wish I watched your video before my test. I asked the lab tech and she said it’s ok to have the test during my period. She was so wrong.

Hey! I never thought too much about those numbers. Maybe next time I see my results I will look at them more closely. This is my health so I should know what it all means. Thanks for sharing.

I did ACR test for first time, got reading of 30.3mg/g which the normal should be 30mg/g, I did it without fasting, drank plenty of water before like 1.2 litters.. My creatinine level is around 1.3-1.4 always, last time was 1.33, no diabetes or blood pressure. I did urinalysis.. found no protein negative, what should I do please? and thank you so much for the video.

I would seek care from a specialist or see if a specialist can help you figure this out.

My Microalbumin 3 months ago was 3.1 did another blood test 1 week ago and now is 6.0 but doctor just said need to lower my glucose and diet. Is 6.0 very dangerous level??

As long as the micro albumin to creatinine ratio is less than 30 you are fine. Above thirty is when medical doctors start becoming concerned with your kidney’s ability to filter waste and toxins properly. Please consult your physician with any questions regarding your test results as I am not a doctor.

Maddie Nielsen My result is exactly 30. I asked for a refferal to see a nephrologist. Very scared.!

Hello Maddie thanks for your sharing. I had a complete check last week. My result on MICROALBUMIN/CREATININE RATIO is 96 against 30 mg/gm. Can you advice whether it is dangerous as my reading is 96.

Hi John! This reading seems a little higher than what i have seen but I would discuss this with your physician as they can tell you if this is a safe level! Thank you!

@@MaddieNielsen Thank you for advice, I'm afraid my doctor in private practice (GP) does not know what causes the ratio is higher than the normal range of 30 mg/gm. Since I am not a diabetic, or having High Blood Pressure or suffering from any kidney disease, I do not worry at all. Since the result, I have now avoiding food with creatine. I'm already 83 years old going to 84 next year January 2. I will go for another lab test with another lab in March 2021 for a second opinion.
