I'd be interested to hear her views on why furloughs and outsourcing US jobs to the third world while taking advantage of corporate tax breaks are so great for Xerox. Also I would like to see why the numbers keep slipping despite constant cost-cutting, layoffs, downsizing, wage freezes, travel freezes, and worsening benefit packages. How does she fail so hard and still take home 9.9 million in 2012?
She is such an inspiration to us all!! After all the hardships of being an African-American woman in a white mans world, she made it to the top despite all the racism and bigotry. It is up to us white people to help other less fortunate and disadvantaged people like this African-American woman. If we could replace all cis white men with strong African-American women and embrace Marxism, the world would be a far better place. We, as white males, need to step aside an let these poor African-Americans take control of the world! They deserve their time!!
@@10Upstate He doesn't need to reply. Stop being so desperate that you are coming back here each month just to spark an argument. He never said ANYTHING rasict. He was just stating his opinion, and you have yours, and I have mine.
Good talk, but would have liked to hear a single question related to their massive outsourcing practices and the effects they're feeling because of them. All large companies do it, but they are one of the most prominent.
I moved on several years ago. My concern is with the friends that are still there. UB pocketed millions while thousands were let go. Bonuses paid to her were not earned on merit!
Hi everyone. I would like to apologise on behalf of 10Upstate. I am sorry that he is harassing, attacking and not respeting all your opinions! He has no common sense, and is replying to comments which were from three years ago. Have a nice day to you all who DO have common sense and respect opinions. 💚
Thousands of people lost their jobs while she was at the helm. She pocketed millions during that time! How do you see that as a good thing?! Do some F'in research moron!
+Kavita S Based on what?! She lines her pockets with millions and lays people off! A falling stock price and company split should tell you (or at least an intelligent individual) that she isn't all that.! Carl Icahn doesn't want her! You are a special kind of stupid!
She laid off thousands of people! Her plan was to ship all of engineering overseas! That does not help the U.S.!! She was released from her position in January!
You liked her transparency but you don't want all to be seen or heard 'all' the time? So you don't want transparency? Worked out. She's out because she failed!
What do you find inspirational? The fact that she has laid off thousands of people? The fact that she has and is moving jobs overseas? The fact that she is on Obama's JOBS CREATION COMMITTEE that hasn't done anything since its creation? The fact that there are fewer people working at Xerox today than when she took over at Xerox? The fact that she wants to decrease employee pay by up to 20% while whining that she is under paid? Chester Carlson is rolling over in his grave given the current state and direction of this company! She started as an intern, then to an engineer. All I can say is, 'those that can do, those that can't get promoted 'What do you find inspirational? The fact that she has laid off thousands of people? +10Upstate She, like Obama, was and is dealing with the Poop Storm Bush left the country in. Many people, accidentally or purposely, forget this. Everyone down sized and wanted unions to "give back," it was the order of the day. I find it suspect that some people always want to start the "everything is going to hell" conversation the nano second AFTER Bush and Chaney left office. The country and the world was left in a state of near economic collapse, everyone was (some still are) treading water. It's amazing that we've come this far this fast, Roosevelt took much longer and had a world war to help him. This woman did the best that could be done, like everyone else, under the circumstances. What would you have done differently? And please don't say, "cut my own salary," I won't buy it. But beyond that, what would you have done?
+crimson jack Ah, the 'poop storm' left by Bush. I have forgotten nothing. The housing boom that took several years to build and that collapsed in short order was the result of bad policy and greed. Regulations that allowed the 'mega store' of money with little control was policy born of the late 90's (by both sides of the aisle). And the greed of many to pull in a commission check by providing mortgages to people that didn't qualify (fudge the #'s, what will it hurt?). And that followed the 'dotcom' market bust of the late 90's following a few years of internet companies that produced nothing but hype. Stock prices that went high when there was nothing tangible there. Though some of those companies exist today; ebay, amazon,.. I wouldn't need to cut my salary, just the bonuses and stock options. Or better yet, keep the stock options but put a 'strike price' back on them. At one time companies offered stock options to executives with a dollar amount that was above the current value. If the CEO wanted to cash in, the company value needed to go up. Unfortunately most companies now offer stock options with no $$ value assigned. When I left Xerox I hadn't had a raise in 3 years (though executive bonuses continued to be paid out). My last year there pay raises were suppose to be given in the spring but they were postponed for a few months (the postponement happened a week or so after bonuses were paid to the executives). What would I do? I would double down on design engineering to create new products and improve existing products and build in-house. Sending the design work and manufacturing offshore does not build the U.S. economy. Ursula used HCL as a method of relieving Xerox of employees (the PR wasn't as bad as if they had just been laid-off). Many of those that were transferred to HCL are now unemployed. Her purchase of ACS to 'shore up' financials hasn't panned out well (numbers are still dropping). As of today the Dow is down 7.5% for the year (16492 from 17823) while Xerox stock is down 25% for the year (10.42 from 13.86). She has released more people than she has hired. So tell me, what do you find that is 'excellent' or 'inspirational' about her as a business leader?
10Upstate I do have sympathy with your situation and the plight of everyone who's job has gone off shore due to this unfortunate business model, but this has become the business model all across the planet. Everyone is treading water as fast as they can looking for ways to cut costs. I'm a union guy so I hate it. But what would I do if it were me in the chair. Take a pay cut and no bonuses for anyone, maybe. Maybe not. I hope that I would, but, as they say, that kind of money changes people. Would you take a cut and no bonus, to keep the stock prices up, if she led the way? If you know anything about the market, you're not in it for the year, you're in it for the long term. We'll seeya this time next year and again in 5 years. Eight years ago after the crash, they said Obama wouldn't get unemployment below 9%..."oh what a difference a day makes." I told people to buy B.P. when oil was gushing into the gulf because they weren't going anywhere, now B.P. is doing better. Just give it time and the afore mentioned concerns will rebound. Like B.P., they're not going anywhere.
She was FIRED 2 years before your comment! She wasn't a good leader. The stock performance will tell you that! Thousands of people lost their jobs because of her. If you're still happy with that...it speaks volumes about you.

Claudette Redic Come on Claude R. No response! What gives?! I just heard that UB wants to sell 1/2 of ACS for 1.5B. Xerox purchased ACS for 6B just 6 years ago. How did the value drop in half? Your liberal mindset will be the demise of us all!!
Claudette Redic Just what I thought. Neither of you are willing to respond!! UB has outsourced a number of good positions. She treats the American workers like crap! Two things got her where she is today, skin color and gender! Neither are a basis for the position she has!!
