Uruka Addresses The Constant Unseiso Bear Comments

Hello, as a long time viewer I'd like to give my thoughts on this. Back when Uruka first started streaming, she was oblivious to many unseiso things and would say sus things without realizing it. Thus she was called unseiso. The joke there was that someone with an innocent mind was being called unseiso. There was also other stuff that she'd do intentionally, but her intentions behind them weren't just to be unseiso. Now more than 2 years later Uruka has adapted and seems to like juvenile humor, but the same "unseiso bear" jokes from 1-2 years ago are still brought up in chat even if the topic is unrelated. So as of now, she's choosing to dial back on the sussiness. Not because she was doing something immoral, but because it's affecting how her general audience perceives her, and because some people don't stay calm whenever she does juvenile humor. Pls understand, this bear may talk about unseiso stuff and crack out sus jokes sometimes, but the immediate response isn't to just call her unseiso or horby, as people have already been doing for 2 years.

Might be easier now that Nasa is on her Yab arc. She is competing with Hina, though, the only true Seiso in PC (as far as I can tell).

On a real note: Every joke gets stale with time and overuse. Making good chat banter with a streamer involves _making light-hearted jokes_ *_about the topic at hand._*

Coomers and coomer bait really suck the fun out of vtuber stuff. I know it's what get clipped, because that's what get views, but god does the "joke" get stale.

@@raumfahreturschutzeat least she grew out of it, there's many others who have that one joke and it's their whole personality. It just feels forced. At least Panko (who makes a lot of these jokes) does it genuinely and a lot of the times it's just the ESL hitting in

I think its more that jokes stop being fun when they are being repeated in excess, specially when they aren't even being used with a proper punchline, these kinds of things ruins jokes. I think she would still get some laughs of a well-timed horny joke instead of random horny comments being thrown around with no reason

Ah, we're at the point in the vtuber life cycle where enough of their audience is there for one running joke (surprisingly frequently just being horny) that when they're not playing into it a good chunk of chat is still trying to force it. Good on Uruka for trying to set the record straight and hopefully she can break out of it, though it's genuinely quite hard and is frequently not great for views. I know for me it will be hard to remove "once a day bear" from her nicknames.

Its tough too since a lot of newcomers like using the talent's inside jokes when they first start watching them, but a lot of Uruka's inside jokes happen to be unseiso. The jokes have already run their course, and its nice that Uruka put out her thoughts on this situation. Though yeah its understandable that "once a day bear" might be hard to to get rid of lol

Uruka to me has always been a great example of straight-man humor, basically being the normal one while reacting to chat's nonsense. She's the only Vtuber I've ever seen do that style consistently, and she's really good at it. I'd much rather enjoy that unique style of humor than have Uruka become just another LewdTuber.

So based. Alot of people put up personas on the internet, which is fine. It hurts when you realise the persona you've been building up isnt the one you want to continue with, but you can't just say no because you feel to them that's who you are. Doing otherwise would be hypocrisy, no? Think backtracking in a conversation, or argument. You fully support the opposer but it has gotten to the point where it would be hard for either party to accept simply caving in. Stand proud, she alone is the convertible one. Cant even imagine how much lewdtubers, or ones that heavily lean into degeneracy as entertainment are bored, or tired. Can you imagine if like vox suddenly says he's grossed out by asmr? The other times they've tried similar shi they understandably recieve drama and it overall is just super hard to tread correctly and make that transition yknow what I mean?

True. I think at this point even Panko's getting frustrated with the lewdtuber title and would rather be seen as a troublemaking brat who says lewd things when it fits that character rather than be the one in Phase most known for it. I can see the title changing hands this year. That said, I don't even think there's anyone in Phase who really specialises in lewd content either so it could end up on anyone at this point. Whether that person embraces the role or treats it like an albatross around their neck will be interesting.

Thats true, itd be hard to turn back on a persona that you built up for everyone to see you as. The thing is though, Uruka never really tried to fully commit to being known as a lewd person, its just due to certain things she did some people started viewing her like that for some reason. So in this case trying to change her unseiso bear identity isnt even hypocrisy, since as she said thats not who she is Youve said some thoughtful stuff though, got my mind gears churning 🙏

Call me prudish, but I really don't like the lewd jokes on every vtuber's chatlog. It gets rather stale, and takes away from the humor styles of the vtubers.
