The problem with silencing the “wrong opinions” comes down too, who gets to decide what the correct opinions are? If its an individual why should we trust them implicitly? If it’s a vote, that won’t guarantee the best outcome either. Majorities can be very wrong. What we really need is to become more tolerant to diversity of thought and opinion.
