Congratulations Taylor! Your appointment is an unbelievable value compare to what I am renting here in Southern California. I am sure you will turn it into an even more beautiful place after moving in. I am planning to retire in 8 more years. After my recent trip to Malaysia, I hope someday I will be able to live in KL as well! You are blessed!
Looks good Taylor. For the windows facing the hot sun, I suggest you have 3M Window Film put on the glass as it has high UV and heat protection. With the film on the windows, you could leave the curtains open to let in all the light, but not the heat. Here in Florida I have my windows with the 3M protective film. Works great.
V-Kool is better, just more expensive. That said, all glass used in Malaysian building like this is heavily tinted. The real problem is the poor standard of construction with external walls made with single 4" brick with render on the outside and inside. They heat up in direct sun and stay warm long after the sun goes down.
@louis20122 I'm that type also. Only if my surrounding home environment changes for the bad do I move. Home is my castle, my comfort level is highest when I'm home. 💙💜💙
so strange that with such a spacious apartment and large kitchen that there is only a 2 burner stove? I think I too would set up camp in the cooler bedroom. It looks like a lovely apartment with great amenities. Wishing you happiness in your new home.
I love your new space! And, your existing furnishings are going to look great! So glad you no longer have to deal with inadequate AC, etc., In your new place. I'm not sure you do, but I love "pocket doors" which slide into the walls. Honestly, I think another video of your move would be more interesting than a health check-up... up to you. I'll watch it off course 💕
Hello Taylor, I’m getting a bit old (71) and I’d liked to retire in Malaysia. I like your new apartment. Could you give us some more details ? - what about the electrical outlets or plugs - what about the tap water. Do you need to fix some purifying device ? Or do you drink only from plastic bottles ? - what about Wi-Fi in your building? Please continue your very pleasant videos, they are all very instructive
What is latest minimum property purchase price for foreigners when buying both developer new launch and resale secondary homes in Penang? 700k, 800K or 1M?
Excellent video! Looking forward to seeing the finished results in the new place. Plus, looking forward to the nitty gritty details of moving from one place to the next.
Thanks Andrew for walking thru and shown us your new condo apartment. It's pretty big and spaces. Most importantly, privacy and just relax in your own house. Cheers. 😊
i think your new place is perfect. some distance away from the city centre so there's the serenity and peace yet able to enjoy the city view well, along with the almost untouched amenities. i am staying right in the middle in the city centre since 2019 thinking i got the best spot, but almost every late night has been horrendous with car/bike revving sounds and club/bar beats which disrupt my good sleep. i have been trying to sell my place but no buyer/tenant so far thus i have to live with it for now. do enjoy your new place and have a good long stay there. cheers
I used to cater to the American expat community in Bangsar. Wonder why Taylor doesn't move there with the community as they celebrate all American holidays together.

Because Taylor isn't a duh-merican sheep that wants to live in a beautiful foreign land while being surrounded by duh-merican scumbags....
Guess Mr Taylor just loves the serenity of Ampang area...probably have acustomed to Ampang comunity...as he can Vespa to all his favourite food joints etc...
Im not overly worried with your apartment. You have a very good taste .. Im sure you will be able to transform it into another great apartment. By the way, this is the beauty of renting .. you can move to another location of your choice every few years
Hope that you and Earl Grey will have a good time and a pleasant stay in your new home. Good space, good view, good price. How much square feet is the total area?
By the way, how much do you have to pay for the monthly management fee? Or is it already included in the monthly rent. The bathroom and powder room are really beautiful. The wood floor panelling all over the apartment looks really beautiful.
Congratulations on your apartment move. I am interested to move to Malaysia after listening to lots of people good feedback. I am very disappointed the new MM2H requirements condition of buying property and keeping it for 10 years will not suit many people and Siver option only offer 5-year visa not sure if we can renew unlimited times and no work or business allowed. I was wondering if you could make a vlog on all the options available for new prospect retiree in details. Thanks
Looks like a beautiful condo! So Jelly! I am also a native Floridian looking to "upgrade" my life by moving overseas. I am planning on making a trial run over to KL next year (for as long as I can stay for my doctors visits and to see if KL is everything I am hoping for)! I am trying to find a real estate agent to help with my stay. Do you have any suggestions?
It looks better than the previous one and all on the same floor... No balcony as I love but it's your apartment. Nice choice. Good luck my friend for your moving day.
Hi Andrew. I really like your new apartment and it still seems close to the twin towers. The swimming pool is great. Hope you will have much happiness there. Ashley x
Hi Taylor just catching up on your Apartment move , the new place is wonderful love the floors room space cupboards and view I wonder if an oriental screen would be useful to use Where there is no door , Balinese carved one or similar?
Can anyone advise me: I am 50 years old and want to retire to KL. I have exactly $200K. Would that last me until my Social Security kicks in at 62? I’m thinking probably not. What say you?
I'm in the Greek Isles for the summer and swimming in the Aegean is still so chilly!!! I can't wait to winter in KL... I bet the water in the pool is perfect!! Between the pool, the gym and the tennis, we're going to be two chiseled Adonis' (well, you are already!) So happy for you with the new apartment! And the 2nd bedroom is also the perfect size for an office (YT editing and all your equipment, etc.) Does the building have any Common Areas where you can go if you just want a change of scenery? (I saw one building even had a WeWork-style Co-working space! and one of your prior buildings had all kinds of retail in the lobby.) Anyway, Congrats!!! 🤩
WOW,, what a gorgeous apartment, I love it, and especially love your night view. Even with lease renewal increases how high could it possibly go from a starring rent of $600. I'm in.. If I were to move again I'd definitely visit Koala Lampur to see firsthand what's what, and make some arrangements. I love cooking, 2 burners are no problem. RU-vidrs on cooking channels use these portable electric burners, grills, and fry pans, and you certainly have space for a portable burner. Perfection would be a cafe and a couple of restaurants in the building's street level storefronts. I'd want to install a filtration systems for the apartment water supply, Looking real good there in Koala Lampur, Andrew. Looking forward to seeing your living space after you get your furniture in, and hearing further critiques. Stay well, stay strong. May peace, kindness, and compassion soon be the law of the land. 💙💜💙
@@ashtriana1 That's a great idea for cooler weather. That'd be great for cooking outside when outside is not swelteringly hot. Here in Puerto Rico I thought I wanted an outside stove and Hubby got a gas stove for me. Mostly, it's too hot outside to use it. The only time it gets used is when our electricity goes out and it's time for coffee. Otherwise, when there's no electricity Hubby goes for take-out from our local restaurants. Great idea, though. 💙💜💙
Thank you for the video and congratulations,I like this apartment more than the old one it's fancy and the importance one is everything in one floor I hate to go up and down all day it is easy from your bedroom to the kitchen no more stairs we are getting old so going up and down not for us😂😂😅see you soon and good luck
The pool water might get too hot in the heat. Here in Puerto Rico, I swim in the YMCA outdoor pool early in the morning. If I go later the water is uncomfortably hot, I sweat while I swim, and do not feel very good. My neighbor got a large pool for her children. Alas, the water got so hot no one ever went in it. 💙💜💙
@@valereehansen4378 pool time is 8 to 11 then 5 to 7 in the evening. Annd I don’t mind the water being warm. I like Malaysia and am smart enough to hide between 11 and 3.
and 9 days later I check in!! hahaha I love the look of your new place! Such a low rental cost - just awesome. Is that a roller door / window on the lefthand side of your new living room?
Hi Taylor, congratulations on your new apartment. I love the layout, and everything looks modern and elegant. The afternoon sun will run up your AC cost, trying to keep it cool. I live in Thailand and had a similar experience in the condo that I rent. I spoke to the owner, and they allowed me to install a dark tint on the windows. It wasn't that expensive and made a huge difference keeping the place cooler.
Love you Taylor ❤ find myself at home watching your videos. Specifically that I want to move to Malaysia at some point in my life. This autumn first shot 🎉
Love this apartment! I can’t wait to see it when you have furnished it. $600 for a new apartment, jeez, I’m tempted to leave Florida and come to Malaysia ❤
Thanks for the 'Chef's Tour' Andy. The view and pool areas would sell me on the place. Great Place to have a house warming party for your local and your 22,000 extended guests. 'm curious about a couple of things: What the noise situation from neighbors in your places in Malaysia has been like, and if you think temperatures were a little milder in Penang?
@@andrewtaylor4558 Thanks Andy if I could get the visa I'd be on my way there. Seeing your place and considering I pay three times more for a cold. moldy, condo made out of sticks and essentially cardboard surrounded by crime and drug zombies and could be booted any time they want to raise the rent more than the law allows is strong motivation to go back to Malaysia, even if I have to try to do it on tourist visa runs
You made me calculate how many times I moved in my life and it’s exactly 30 times so far….😂 Your new place looks fabulous, such a bargain for such a nice apartment and the condo seems to have a lot of nice facilities. Can’t wait to watch you moving in there!
your Vespa is so cute..i hope you ride carefully on mlysias road..sometime some peoples esp youth are not obeying road traffic laws..they ride as they like..dangerous n crazy..i guess you aware wth it..
Great preview. For cooking you can easily buy another portable electric induction stove & put it anywhere on the counter or store it until you need it. You could also use it as a tabletop stove for steamboat/hotpot/fondue or whatever takes your fancy, wherever you want - including at the poolside BBQ or wherever there are power outlets. Look forward to your move & after video. Some tall plants at the corner can also help to block the afternoon glare. Plastic lining for the curtains can help to cut heat ingress, if it is a problem later.
Hello Andrew! We enjoy your informative videos very much, thank you. We are keeping an eye on Malaysia / Kl! Your new home looks wonderful, so pleased for you and 🐈⬛. Wondering if you can swap out those thin drapes for thermal blockout drapes. These would also help with cooling & air conditioning costs as well as being much more comfortable for you in all areas the apartment. We live in Oz FNQ so understand the heat and humidity climate needs. Cheers from Us.🌟👏🍍🐨
It will be so nice working in the kitchen and looking at that view. The facilities are stunning and appear very well maintained. The mirror plug is odd.
I love everything about the new place, especially that view 😍😍!! I would put up a tension rod in the doorway to the second bedroom and hang a nice curtain on it to give future guests their privacy 😊.
Whoa! The outlet in the mirror is SO weird. Never seen anything like that before. Although I do have to say that i rarely see outlets in bathrooms in malaysia. Where would i charge my electrical toothbrush or shaver? o.O With that said, beautiful apartment Taylor!
