Well Andy I am not an interior decorator So I can't give you any suggestion, and I think you did a good job as far I concern. As for the chair, get the one that you feel confortable with and closely math to your environment. Cheers.
Hi, we have hot water on the left always in the UK so I’m guessing Malaysia follows UK in this respect. You have great taste, wonderful new apartment. What prompted you to move?
Ur new condo is under mixed development strata, the electricity rate is commercial rate double the residential one. What U can do is ask Ur owner to convert it to residential rate. What he needs is a few photo of the renovation to prove it's not an office, a copy of your tenancy agreement. He have to go to one of the TNB branch to do it. Else u just have to pay double rate
The best way to use an air conditioner is to turn on the ceiling fan with a temperature not too low from the air conditioner. This method saves electricity consumption
Hey Taylor. Do you have smart bulbs there? You could set it up with an automation software such as Google or Alexa to set light scenes. You would have to only change the bulbs. Not sure about the electronic prices there but here in US those bulbs are pretty affordable. Just a thought...
i can relate to the basket covering the unsightly plugs because i use the same method all over my house--with baskets, picture frames, and vases. my guests would be surprised once they realised these decorative things could also hide many unsighly plugs and cables.
As one from Malaysia and now settled in US, it is not that wonderful living there compared to US in these videos. Yes, US is expensive to live even if one is still working. However, US is a better choice in many other categories.
UK hot tap always on the left, so maybe something to do with it - when I lived in Malaysia we never had any aircon but might have been a bit cooler outside KL
Your electricity bill could also be more expensive because your new place might be registered as a commercial unit rather than a residential unit. However if you do see that the usage in power is actually higher then I'm definitely wrong.
Hi Taylor great channel am newish to your channel a new subscriber too. I'm sure landlord can put in dimmers. I can't image you are the first to say too bright. I'm thinking of retiring to Malaysia in 4 years from the UK. Does a foreigner, have to buy property to get permanent residence or can they rent only? Ideas for the channel if not already done so are pros and cons in living in Malaysia. I'm guessing a con of KL is air pollution? Also videos on grocery supermarket shopping and furniture shopping costs? Can you rent fully furnished apartments. Thanks for your help. I hope you are well and pleased recent health check up went well. Kind regards Gerry
Morning Taylor .. Wow wow your New Home looks fabulous. Your furniture design is amazing definitely like the orange chair great idea for covering sockets ..
I've lived in 9 countries including Malaysia. It's a beautiful country with a lot to do, nice people, awesome food etc... but their laws and regulations are sometimes PTSD inducing. It's still one of my favorite countries to go on vacation, but I don't think I'll ever live there again lol
Love the rugs, the basket for covering the sockets too. Get the orange chair for a splash of colour, however the colour/style may not go with your new sofa bed…great under door solution 😊👍🏻wishing you happy days in your new apartment!
As for the hot and cold water, hot is always on the left hand side, even in the USA too. It's a very simple fix, your faucet supply lines might just need to be changed to the correct anglestop. Sometimes the hoses are installed to the incorrect anglestop on faucets and makes the knob do the opposite. Just make sure to turn off the anglestop or water before changing the hoses. On the push handle one, the hot can be towards the rear and the cold towards the front, so the handle might need to be turned to the right side of the faucet instead of straight on. It's all preference though, make it how you want it.
I grew up in Virginia and live in DC right now and in the past 35 years I've always seen hot water on the left and cold on the right. Im a little confused haha
The area around the cheese shop is quite appealing, trees here and there feels very calming. I could live there. Lunch in that cheese shop would be a frequent delight being that cheese is one of my most favorite foods. And the bread looks delicious. Yum. A tad impatient at traffic lights, we are, aren't we, Taylor? It must be thrilling riding on a motorbike, plus a smidgeon of scary to round out the experience. What I noticed about being on a motorcycle as opposed to in a car, is that: - in a car one is looking out through a windshield at a video/picture show. -on a motorcycle one is riding in the video/a part of the picture show. Yup, I could stand the thrill of some more motorbiking. Informal eatery, great companions, the best in a fun food time. Bye for now, see you in the next one. PS: I had to rewind and see the cheese shop again, and the surrounding area. 💜💙💜
Hi Taylor! If dimmers are not an option, perhaps getting lower wattage bulbs, but the way you have it on your set up looks great. Hope the brick walls also help keep noise out from any other tenants. Also, hope the AC bill is less next month after the door seal placement. What is your typical interior "comfortable" temperature there?
I rented a condo in Johor and it was same thing with the curtains and the lighting. I unhooked that Center part so that I can draw the curtains all the way instead of this fixed draping thing. I changed ALL my ceiling light bulbs! They were all white fluorescent, which drove me mad and really strong. I changed every single one to warm and the lowest wattage available. That made a huge difference. Looking forward to your reveal soon!
Hi Andrew, I'm in Los Angeles and am disabled. I' feel sad because I can't get a girlfriend in US. What can I do to live abroad? Is it easier to get a girlfriend in Malaysia?
All of north America has hot on the left and cold on the right.Sometimes the plumber will accidentally criss cross the waterlines and you simply switch the waterlines under the cabinet to correct it.
