Infantry squad display at my sons graduation ceremony at Fort Benning GA. Infantry Squad came up through the smoke then they gave a description of the equipment and each members role in the squad.
I'm a former Infantryman. It was a very hard life, but no one can ever take that away from me. It was awesome on one hand, but I'm glad it's over on the other. 11 Bravo
Im an mp,active duty,i feel the same thought id never make it but here i am and yet i cant wait to ets lol, wether your MP,Infantryman, calv scout... etc we endure alot but usually get something out of it hooah
I miss being in the Army more than anything. Being a soldier was simply the best time of my life. Watching these great soldiers makes me as proud as ever.
My son just graduated Feb 18th. Great demonstrations. Im proud of him. The soldiers that did the demonstration were from their platoons. They volunteered and practiced a lot to science. Proud of them all. Congrats to you guys who are joining. Don't forget airborne school when you go. Rangers Lead the Way!!!
NarooluCA nah Mr future Jarhead I made a good score on my ASVAB and didn't want to get stuck with retards who join the Marines. Instead I got option 4 on my contact for infantry which means Airborne. Marines sounded too easy so I made my wise choice to go Army.
"marines sounded too easy" lmao bro. Simple fucking videos here on youtube will show the difference between the branches bootcamp, Army bootcamp is literally a walk in the park compared to USMC. Stop kidding yourself
Adalith Ramirez Im sure none of you are in the military but until you've been to the school for boys and earned that blue cord and realize that FBG is no freaking walk in the park.. then you can talk. For POG's thats a different story tho shit is like summer camp.
Adalith Ramirez It sure ain't a walk in the park I'll tell you that. The infantry OSUT in the army is ran a lot like ITB in the marines after I talked to my buddies who went through it. It's different because in the marines everyone no matter the MOS goes through the same bootcamp then splits when they go to train for their MOS. OSUT in the army has everyone working for the same job. Infantry was not a walk in the park, but damn it was the most fun I never want to have again! haha
Already graduated as a US army infantryman. OSUT (one station unit training) which is about 14-16 weeks of training is conducted in Ft. Benning. The training will get you physically ready, just don't quit on yourself when you start to feel lonely. If you join, you are in for good. Itll take you longer to go home if you quit than to just graduate.
Interesting. In the Marine Corps, our squads have 3 fireteams and are led by a Sergeant by doctrine, but is usually a Corporal or Lance Corporal. Each Team Leader carries the 203 and acts as the Grenadier, leaving the remaining guy to be an A Gunner who assists the SAW Gunner, helps carrie extra ammo or the short barrel and junk like that.
Calm down high-speed.... Sorry I'm late to the party but OPSEC? You're going to BCT. Hardly something protected under Operational Security. If it was an ACTUAL deployment date to a foreign country or combat zone, then yes, you'd get your shit pushed in. But once you're in the Army, you don't really talk about it at all. Well, most people don't. There are those people who get Army tattoo's in the most visible places and go to the club with their dog tags hanging out. Fuck those people. Don't be a shit bag like them.
If you pay attention to what I said I didn't say it was a crazy big deal. I said I've seen other Soldiers get in trouble for the shit. I don't want to be one of them, period. Trust me I'm not stupid I completely understand the difference between a combat deployment and fucking osut. However there ARE NCOs out there who are anal about this stuff and I'd rather not get boned.
I really wanted 11B but I would have to go to Midland, Texas for drill. I enlisted in the National Guard so I can serve and go to school at the same time. So I might reclass from 13F to 11B and might go active duty after college.
Can't wait to finish my degree this summer then get my 11x option 4 contract. I've been working my ass off in the gym the past few months getting ready. I want this so damn bad. Good video.
Scott Schauben He is referring to when a Bradley and a Stryker staged a gunfight before the wedge rolled out against another wedge. An abbreviated 1 alpha if you will. Not sure when that ended, but they still did it in 2007 on the hardball just past the class six.
My mind is really set to being an 11b or 31k in the Army but can't decide. If you have any experience with any of these MOS'S please let me know, I will really appreciate if you could give me some feedback of which MOS you think is better.... Thank you
we dont carry side arms? been in over a year and half now ..an currently deployed i dont carry a side arm nor do my fellow teamates unless your the captain or first sgt ? no need for it ? unless you are special forces or some high speed unit that requires you to have it i suppose but really no need for it unless you are a pog..or a terp?
No sidearms except for officers and m240 gunners. 240 gunners carry one because they cant shoulder fire their weapon. Was a SAW gunner (m249) and didnt carry one, but I carried a knife that I used to kill many MREs with.
im leaving july 28th to go there to learn to be an infantryman and i was wondering, how physically challenging is bootcamp and im a 135 pound 17 year old. Do you think i would even stand a chance of passing boot?
Banana Films You definitely have a chance. I'm 158 pounds and 17 and ship for basic on June 30th. However, I'm a member of the Army National Guard and we do PT as well as conditioning every drill. Not to mention how I physically prepare myself on my own time. I suggest you run at least three miles every day, and eventually work on your timing. To pass basic training's running part, you need to be able to run 2 miles in 15:54. I can get mine in 14:24. Just run hard and you've got a chance. Best of luck.
Congrats man. I'm 21 years old since Friday, 6'.5 about 150 pounds I've been a smoker(cigarettes not pot) for about 5 years but can still swim a mile, how vigorous is the training? My uncle and cousins are marines but I've been looking at army infantry as something I would be most in to. I'm going to the recruitment center Monday to get some literature on the army and to learn more about the options. God bless man you're all in my prayers and I'm proud as fuck of yall
