Part 3 of this series looks at Israel's story as she rejects God as her King and asks for a human king to be like the nations around them. Saul was followed by David as king. God established and enduring dynasty through David's lineage. Israel grew to national greatness under Solomon and experienced 40 years of peace, safety, and prosperity. The sermon then considers the prophecies of Leviticus 26. When Israel obeyed God, tremendous blessings are given. When they disobeyed God, intensifying curses were poured out. We also consider the "7 times" of Leviticus 26, and whether this foretold of a 2,520-year postponement of receiving the birthright blessings. If so, this explains the sudden arising of the British and American peoples to world prominence beginning around 1800 AD.
