I don't know why I like these vids so much. I think something is wrong with me to find comfort in the days where broadcast media just took a break a few hours on the daily.
"Positively New Jersey" (from the NJN stations in Trenton and Camden NJ ) is my all-time favorite sign-off. This one in particular (with the large, white NJN) is my favorite of the NJN sign-offs.
At 1:10:07 is the 1993 PBS Ident and WGBY Springfield sign-off for the PBS station and WGBH Boston (now GBH) sister station which uses the 1993 PBS music, and at 1:19:52 is the same 1993 PBS music playing, with a woman vocalizing in the KTXT Channel 5 Lubbock, Texas (now KTTZ) sign-off for the now current PBS Texas Tech Public Media station.
At 1:32:16 following this WPBT Channel 2 (now South Florida PBS) Miami/Fort Lauderdale/Palm Beaches sign-off announcement at the conclusion of its broadcast day from 1996, we will not hear "God Bless America" by Kate Smith due to copyright claim by Sony Music Entertainment, but this WPBT sign-off will be viewed and heard on the fromthearchives RU-vid account, and Kate Smith singing "God Bless America" will be heard from this WPBT sign-off.
