hello, my dad became a US citizen in 2014 and that was before me and my siblings turned 18. my brother who's in the military had just gotten his oath notice scheduled later this month and he filed n400. i filed n-400 as well last december, but it was only after filing that I realized i should have done n-600 because apparently we are us citizens already. my question is, will it get denied? i looked online and saw that a lot of people who had the same situation as me had their applications denied by uscis because they filed the wrong application. im thinking that my brother's case was an exception because he's in the military but im really hoping that it gets approved. any advice? thank you in advance

Hi...I'm a US citizen and filed a petition of Consular Report of Birth Abroad (CRBA, I think it's N400) for my 3 minor biological children. We had a scheduled interview for my kid's US citizenship but was canceled due to Covid19 and we haven't been called since. The embassy in Manila said they're not resuming the schedules for now. Question: is there another way of taking my children to meet my family in the US? A tourist visa for them perhaps?
@VisaHarmony

CRBA us different from N400. The US embassy has been accepting applications for CRBA. Tourist visa is hard to get approved

Hello, when I turned 18 my mother was already a US Citizen and I was a US Permanent Resident. I did not file for citizenship at the time. I am now almost a decade older and I’m not sure if I would have to file for an N-400 and pay or if there is any easier way such as applying for a US Passport, thank you in advance.

The CHILD CITIZENSHIP ACT OF 2000 makes children of naturalized US citizen automatically become US citizen with these conditions: 1) they are a lawful permanent residents 2) parent acquired US citizenship when child was 18 y/o and below. Here’s the link ttps://travel.state.gov/content/dam/aa/pdfs/FAQs_Child_Citizenship_Act_of_2000.pdf. This law as passed by Pres. Bill Clinton. When I became naturalized US citizen in 2010, I immediately applied my 3 minor Filipino kids’ US passport. I went in person at the clerk of court office. I brought the completed US passport application for each kid, attached my original naturalized US citizen certificate and my US passport. Save the money you will pay for the N600, they don’t need it. My kids are now 30, 29 and 25…never had any problem being US citizens. I hope this helps everyone.

She can apply for your brother’s US passport with the following documents. I know these because I did it for my 3 kids under 18 y/o: 1) original copy of your Mom’s US naturalization certificate 2) original or certified true copy of your brothers foreign birth certificate 3) completed US passport application with required passport photos 4) your brothers original green card or foreign passport with permanent visa stamp 5) must apply in person 6) pay the passport fee

Mga kababayans, please save your $1,385. When I became naturalized US citizen in 2010, I immediately applied for my 3 minor Filipino kids’ US passport. I went in person at the clerk of court office. I brought the completed US passport application for each kid, attached my original naturalized US citizen certificate and my US passport. The kids don’t need the N600. President Bill Clinton approved the bill called CHILD CITIZENSHIP ACT OF 2000. It states that foreign born children 18 years old and below whose parents become naturalized US citizens automatically acquires US citizenship. I hope this helps everyone, save yourself the $1,385 N600 fee. I researched this when RU-vid was non existent. I found this in the internet while researching several things immigration related. Hello @danielzpcsk85, many don’t know this, the US law sates that a minor is automatic US citizen when any parent become a US citizen by birth or naturalization. @@danielzpcsk85 by applying the minor's US passport, the passport will be their proof of US citizenship. They will not receive N600 certificate. But if you really want your child to have the certificate then pay the $1.385 and complete the N-600 application form. Otherwise, the passport is enough for them. My kids got their US passport in 2010. Thet are all adult, 30-29-25 years old. Never have problem with just having US passports.
