US Election: Walz vs. Vance Post Debate Analysis - LIVESTREAM 

Trump never paid my friend that he hired to do embroidery for his hotels. Trump offered to pay half after the job. It devastated my friend. Trump has done this to thousands of people. Screwing them.

Vance's performance gave me the impression that he clearly is as slippery as a snake.

Walz won on honesty and policy JD came off like a lying slimeball.

Tim Walz looks honest and genuine, Vance looks slick and not trustworthy.

Vance had spin, not substance, evasive, insincere, glib, but will it persuade those who are uninformed? Can he be trusted? The flip from "Never Trump" to running mate answers that for me. Served his own quest for power. Unprincipled.

Walz looked sincere and purposeful. JD lied smoothly therefore won the debate. I just think Walz is the real deal.

Vance couldn't say trump lost the last election

Walz came across a relatable human, empathic and like all of us occasionally flawed, Vance came across as a car salesman just professionally selling something, as voters we are not scoring a University debate, we are looking for a connection, I felt connected with Walz, totally disconnected from Vance.

What does it mean to win? Reddit clearly thinks the line about why Pence wasn't on that stage was a knockout blow.

Walz was given chances to respond given Vance kept attacking Walz and Kamala position. Walz did less attacking.

Walz was good on policy. He was nervous at first. He could have been better at holding Vance to account. But he got better as the debate progressed. At the end of the debate I felt there was no winner or loser but some good discussion about policies.

I think it was pretty much a wash. And basically the VP debate doesn't matter much. When it comes down to it, we know that Walz can run things and run them well. Vance - you've got nothing. I don't think he knows what he thinks, he thinks what his wealthy donor tells him to think. Period. The only original thoughts he has, are his rather despicable feelings on women. He is just horribly unlikable and terribly untrustworthy. I've said it from the beginning and I have not changed my mind. He gives me serious serial killer vibes. I am a woman, so there is a good foundation for that.

It's a toss up really. With no fact checking, it was just a crap shoot. Fact checking is a must!!

I am against the GOP with my whole being. Vance represented the ticket about a billion times better than the dunce at the top. I was shocked and pleased to see how he and Walz were both very substantive and cordial - they were not combative toward each other. It is pretty sad that the vice-presidential debate was so much more about the issues than personality and celebrity. There is simply no credible answer Vance could have given on the insurrection that would pass muster with dear leader. However, he boldly and unapologetically looked the American people in the eye and equated insurrection with censorship. This might just be the moment where Vance's political future was made - depending on the outcome of the election, of course. Dude saw his predecessor almost hanged by his new boss and didn't hesitate to say "I'm in!"

Trump will have a tantrum because Vance won the debate and he didn’t.

You two are so shallow in your analysis. Walz started slow but had a solid performance and won the debate when it came down to saving our democracy. Katty will do an about face tomorrow on Morning Joe when the panel will be talking about substance and not Walz profile and camera presence.

Vance ducked so many issues instead relying on straw man and red herring fallacies. He looked foolish on the issues immigration, abortion, health care and democracy. Vance not answering questions doesn't equate to winning a debate, irrespective of how polished he appeared. Walz won that hands down by explaining the substantive issues on numerous issues. Vance looked especially weak by not admitting that Trump lost the election.

Walz won because he told the truth. Vance lost, 53 lies by my count. So a trained lawyer can lie, but that doesn't make a win, or a winner.

I don't know how anyone can be an undecided voter at this juncture unless they just moved from Mars.

I disagree. Walz was nervous at first and unfortunately avoided answering the opening question, as he also unfortunately did re: Tianaman Square. That said, Vance constantly referred to the “Harris” administration. There is no Harris administration. She’s the VP. As VP, the last four years have been Biden’s policies, not hers. As for facts, Trump inherited a growing economy/stock market and all he had to do is not fuck it up, which he didn’t. However, HE FUCKING BLEW COVID!!! The luckiest moment for DJT’s political career was losing the 2020 election. Had he won, the onus of inflation/gas prices, etc would have been his to bear. All in all , a civilized debate. Too bad Vance wasn’t more grounded in reality.

It was as-if Walz and Harris were not from the same campaign in regards to debate prep. Just as they prepped Harris, they should have prepped Walz: - How to appear on camera, especially when you're not speaking... - Given Walz in some zingers. One of which was to remind the viewers that Trump is 78 years old and will be 82 by the end of the term, and if something would happen to Trump, heaven forbid, where Trump is incapacitated, then Vance becomes President... And to hint at what type of President is someone who puts down women who have not had their own children biologically, someone who creates stories about immigrants eating cats and dogs and does not accept responsibility or understand the relationship of the incinerating words about the immigrants and resulting bomb threats, etc. - Tying Vance to Trump plus how to get Trump mad at Vance. Tying Vance to Trump would mean also tying Vance to Project 2025, tying Vance to Trump's incinerating words about Harris being mentally disabled. But then how to get Trump mad at Vance is by getting Vance to disown some of Trump, either by being smarter than Trump or stating that he does not believe Trump meant some things like Harris being mentally disabled. - Things Vance could do to catch Walz off guard. One of them is what if Vance comes across civil... Walz should have had some zinger about what have you done with JD Vance and where is the real one without appearing disrespectful to the fact that Vance is being civil.

I'm sorry but you're being insane, Anthony. You're not approaching this from someone who is a normal American voter taking this all in, you're approaching this as a political insider. JD Vance came off as robotic and like a snake while Walz came off as someone you can sit down with. Yes, Walz had a couple of slip ups, but they weren't breathtaking and made him seem like an actual human.

Walz would have been better if there were a audience of real people reacting instead of the sterile media studio. Vance was better than expected and technically won the debate but I don't think he changed any voters presidential choice. But bottom line Vance could not admit that Trump lost the election in 2020 and he said Trump did peacefully turnover the power of the presidency on Jan 20, 2021. Trump was the first president in history who did not attend the inaugural of the next duly elected president.

One way to look at it. Two boxers fight a match, one wins on points with technique, but who would I want with me if I get drug into an ally and need to count on someone to help me out, that’s where CHARACTER comes into play and that’s where Walz wins.

Walz was too polite and agreeable. Vance was a sly fox and made people forget that Trump would become president, not Vance. Walz should have called out Trump on his hate, bullying, condescending speech, name-calling, divisiveness, lies, and childish behavior. Trump is an embarrassment to our reputation worldwide. Walz overlooked Trump's disregard for democracy, the Constitution, the Rule of Law, and the fact that he lost the election and incited an insurrection against our national leaders! Vance was trying out for 2028. Neither won but neither lost. It's up to Kamala to come out with a direct message of what Walz was too polite to say.

Out of the four principal contestants, there is only one that comes across as somewhat statesman's like. The other three struggle to be seen as such, to varying degrees.

Mr. Scaramucci, we have agreed on most so far. However, when my fellow Americans actually vote next month the truth tonight will resonate. Dead Zone is one of my favorite movies and Democracy will prevail. Vote Blue as I do.

Jd won on performance, lost on content- lie after lie after lie. Lost about certifying elections. He was the show pony and debate performer. Tim isn’t a senator, more of a work horse with depth and won on humanity, empathy, especially on his successful governing of Minnesota. Jd has zero experience governing as Tim does. He’s lived the issues, Jd had talking lies. He won on the issues. I don’t need a show pony, I need a person of character who knows how to serve and govern well. What’s scary is people will believe jds lies and not read Project 2025. The playbook is their manifesto.

Watching this debate after watching the Harris Trump debate was like watching kindergarten kids in a boxing match after seeing a Mohamed Ali championship fight.
