For those dialing in wanting to find out about policy differences the winner of a split debate is irrelevant. Vance refusing to answer multiple questions and light on substance in comparison would not have satisfied that need.

When I worked in Prisons and had to do forensic interviews, I would read the inmates file and documented evidence against them, during the interview they would profess innocence and deny, inconsistent with the factual evidence. Vance called the Republican presidential candidate an "idiot" and said he was "reprehensible." Privately, he compared him to Adolf Hitler. Then he accepted the Vice Presidential Nomination for Trump. A forensic interview would assess him as a Pathalogical/Transactional Liar. Lies to deceive to get what he wants.

This debate will NOT move the needle towards Tim Walz. It may or may not move it towards JD Vance How many undecided / apolitical people will watch .... a VICE presidential debate ... TO THE END?? Answer: Only "politicoes" will & I am willing to bet my bottom dollar that 99% of those have already decided whom to voto for & will not be moved either way. Low interest people watched only the START of the debate at best & then tune out - in which case they saw a better performing JD Vance. Love it or hate it.

I think what WALZ COULD have said is something like this: Thiannaman Square and carrying a weapon of war in war: Ok: I made myself look bigger than I was. In my head in that scenario carrying that weapon I felt like I was at war in that moment. It wasn't real war and it is silly to think it is the same. Every veteran tells you this. I DID go to China. I did go three months after the events. Ok so I did not stand on the Square when the tanks rolled. But the felling in the aftermath resonated around the places I went boneless. This is to my personal lies to make myself look more important. Now EVERY Republican should recognise this. You have a leader in DT who does this all the time. For him this is as easy as breathing. Just check out what happened to his business ventures and how many people he still owes money. JD vans may have won this debate, but he won the debate by lying and being slick to win over voters. If voters have done their homework, they would realise that all the JD Vance was prepared and confident he was lying about a lot of stuff. I have done my homework as an independent and I quickly picked up that Vance was lying and I cannot and will not support someone who is clearly lying about reproductive rights and who categorically will not state that January 6 was wrong and that Trump lost the election. People are saying that Tim waltz won because they are Looking at the person who told the truth not looking at someone who won the debate but who told the truth and the person who tells the truth is the one who wins the debate. Tim won the debate.
