The Krag bayonets were adopted and used by the US Army in the late 19th century up to the mid 20th century. The bayonets were used on the US Springfield Krag rifles, 1903 Springfield rifles, and M1 Garand rifles. There were many variations and modifications to the bayonet and its scabbard. Donald Hartman discusses the history, variations, and modifications of the bayonet and its scabbard.
