If you go back some years on the KE channel, they took some friends, one who is a British officer, to Korea and went to a military base. The KE channel also went to the British soldiers base in the U.K. and had his officers try different Korean mre’s.
I suggest you watch the first few episodes of this series! It shows the boys being told that they were going to the Korean military, the calm before the storm, how they prepared physically, and the haircuts.

Josh and Ollie have tried a lot of military rations on their Jolly channel - from many countries. Some of the MREs were many years old, or past the recommended time (eg over 25 years)! If you're ever interested in watching those. There are also other people trying Korean military rations on the Korean Englishman channel, and Korean military personnel trying British rations too.

Combat vet here (Iraq) I had the same thing with the charms, also ranger pudding and a toss up with the peanut butter and the jalapeño cheese spread on the snack bread
Vegimite is basically the Australian version of Marmite . Each country despises the other version . In a pinch, either can be used in place of Worcestershire sauce . , in moderation . 😂😂😂 . Bearing in mind what you said about the bowl providing a target , I think both mre packs woukd leave a lot of debris to conceal. I do hope you get the chance to try Korean mre's . Ill post a request on KE .
I'm a Aussie and I think I need to send ya some Vegemite 🤣🤣 yeah the Aussies army boys were messing with ya🤣🤣 it's ingrained in our culture along with the drop bears, eating gecko and other gullible shit🤣🤣 but Vegemite is good cause you did mention about salt and Vegemite is pretty salty but you're meant to eat it on bread with butter (the ratio of butter vs Vegemite is normally 90% butter 10-25% Vegemite) once you've got your ratio right it's very enjoyable. Give me ya address and I'll send ya some Vegemite 🇦🇺👍🤠🇦🇺
I actually saw that display team, the Black Eagles, in real life a couple years ago in the UK at an airshow - I can safely say they are the best and sharpest team I've ever seen fly (easily beating out our red arrows aha) and they have the best looking jets to boot!
I just started watching your Channel b/c you’re reacting to KoreanEnglishman which is probably my fav RU-vid channel. I’m Aus, and as soon as you said the Aussies offered you a desert prank, it was gonna be Vegemite. Just so you know, how it’s supposed to be consumed is you butter up a piece of toast and then put a very thin layer of Vegemite on top of that. Keep up the good work!

Vegemite. Pure salt. Ok on toast with a lot of butter, as long as it’s scraped on and scraped off. My US brother in law thought it was chocolate paste, omg 😂😂😂his face. I have it every morning for breakfast, don’t particularly like it, but with melted butter, decent, good with cheese in a sandwich or roll. People use it in cooking for a soup or casserole base. Salt. They even brought out a cheese and Vegemite version, couldn’t make myself try it, oh, and potato chips as well. Ew.
Wow, i didn't expect to hear you went to Guam 🇬🇺 I live on Guam and remember hearing a lot of cross training the military would have with other countries here. One of them (forgot which country) flew their helicopter too close to one of our public beaches. I think our government had to remind them to practice away from the public. Love your perspective on these KE videos btw! I remember my uncle sharing his mre and it was fun as a kid to eat. The mush tasted pretty good haha I also would love to try the Korean ones
A big difference in MREs from different countries is astounding. The heat packet is a game changer. I feel sorry for the Koreans eating the Brit MREs. Agree the younger ones will shovel everything. Oh no vegemite you either like it or hate it I hear.
When I was in the military, I had to eat very old food that looked like leftovers from the Vietnam War. It smelled like diesel, and I hated seeing myself enjoying it.
I am not a veteran or a service member. I am however Korean American and a cousin of mine gave me the privilege or trying the MRE Shortcake... and hot fucking damn. Sucked all the moisture from my brain cap and downwards. But they kill with some milk and nutella spread.

3:44 I think the cardboard box is just for shooting purposes, to show the food well. They usually just eat the food directly out of the packet in their other videos.
I am korean and i served in korea 1st division, That mre is a new model introduced recently. It is delicious but not for sale..You can't get it unless you're an active-duty soldier.😢
They don’t give the Tabasco or pepper in every pack now :/ And didn’t the gum become a lax if swallowed? I do know if you add salt to the magnesium heat packet when heating it heats way faster. Vegimite is fine but it’s meant as a spread. It’s the byproduct of yeast.

I think the bowl is actually a reflection of the respect for the soldier that the korean civilization has. They are saying, in effect, you matter! and you deserve to eat decent food in the manner that our civilization considers appropriate. Can't all the debris from this meal be contained back in the packaging, to be carefully discarded appropriately after the meal? Koreans would never tolerate the disrespect most americans can show for their fellow citizens.
@4:30, your comment sounds logical, however, does it change based on the fact that they're at sea so they don't have to worry about leaving a trail? The army or land based military units may have different type of MREs that takes into consideration your point
Sorry but Josh and Ollie are way too busy to watch your channel. They are managing trips like this along with Jolly and Josh is about to have his first child with Gabi Kook (look up her channel) plus Ollie has kids. Not trying to be mean but it’s a little presumptuous to be sure that they watch your channel let alone even know of it.
