American dominance comes from a combination of military might, financial dominance and intellectual power. No matter how corrupt or bad those at the top get, the average Americans, middle-men, and service members will hold up this country. The military is a fundamental aspect of the US Global Machine. The U.S. Navy, for example, keeps the sea lanes open for all maritime trade. The maritime trade of our de-facto enemies, China and Russia for example, would be non-existent without our navy. Our military has kept the peace for 75 years. This is the greatest period of sustained peace since the Roman empire. I believe in peace through strength.
Not for 75 years, before 1991 there were two world polices, and the struggle between the both kept the world more stable than it currently is, only exception is the Cuban missile crisis

@@nickstevens4482No, we aren’t. It is in our interest to defend Taiwan, but officially, the US doesn’t even recognize it as a state. This is due to a strategy of appeasement with china which has resulted in it becoming the largest economy in the world, which is bad for us. That strategy was a very bad choice.
Taiwan will return to motherland China after the 2024 Taiwan election after electing pro-China leader. So we won't be needing a war. But we will fight a war if necessary against Americans and their loyals not against Taiwanese people cause we don't hurt our own people.

Underrated comment. That is what I don’t see many people talking about our whole military is soldiers that are willing to fight. This is what they signed up for this is what they wanna do in other countries like Russia, where they are forced into it. @@keslerjenkins9683 Before the ukraine invasion yes it was mostly volunteer. After russian casualties began to outcompete volunteer rates, conscription was applied which has since replaced much of the volunteer army.

Try moving to China or North Korea and see if they don't put you in prison (or kill you - see Tiananmen Square Massacre, 1989 for an example) for simply criticizing their country. Go get a real education and read the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights and you'll know why America is the best country. Also, I would recommend you do look up the Tiananmen Square Massacre, because you'll see that the protesters were fighting for American values like democracy, freedom of speech, and freedom of press in China, and they were killed or imprisoned for it. So don't take your rights for granted, you need to appreciate the freedoms you have in America.

NATO has USA, Italy, France, United Kingdom, Spain, And all the most POWERFUL countries in the world. I’m proud to live in America. Personally I think a Modern day attempt at Pearl Harbor would look a lot less like the attack on Pearl Harbor, and more like the battle of Midway minus the dive bombing and shitty radar. The only reason Pearl even happened was because the US didn’t have total dominance over the pacific like they do now. If a country like let’s say China attempted another Pearl Harbor, they would barely make it out of port before it was known to god and everybody where they were heading

This is why we train other countries! When we go TDYs and are involved in an excercises we’re actually teaching our counterparts the skills they need to survive!
