Nice seeing this. My Favorite place when in VC-5 , was Sky Club , Top 4 and after Marriage was Staff NCO Club. We liked the Italian Restaurant not far from the Commissary and Exchange. Our kids liked McDonald's. Your videos bring back memories.

Sky Club was my warm up when heading out. Had the 1974 USMC Birthday there. Lot of fun. Lot of memories

When they had all the military bases in the Philippines that was the best time I have seen that country it was booming this is a really good a lot of people are working, it was the best time for everybody that was the year 1960. All the American military soldiers they brought in all the business everywhere in the Philippines.

I spent few years of my life in Subic with my US Navy father, Robert Ralph Rehrig and philippino mother named Perla Prin, until 1990 volcanic eruption.

Are the bars going to come back when the American troops finish setting up shop. I used to make big--big bucks selling tubes to the American Troops. they all ways needed & wanted tubes for their vehicles because of the cut up's on the tubes--Shit house roads so many sharps more sharps metal off cuts that's dumped on the road..

Do you really think it will return to the good old days..Not going happen the US Military doesn't go out and get drunk and socialize with the ladies like in the old days it's not allowed by the UCMJ or Uniform Code of Military Justice

There was a recent port call. They dropped anchor. No liberty. Those happy days memories are only memories. 31 years is a long time since the closing.
