In a video released by the US Navy, the USS Chung-Hoon observes a Chinese navy ship conduct what is described as an 'unsafe' manoeuvre in the Taiwan Strait on 3 June.

The Chinese navy ship moves across the path of the American destroyer, forcing the US ship to slow to avoid a collision, the US Indo-Pacific Command said in a statement. The incident occurred as the US destroyer and Canadian frigate HMCS Montreal were conducting a 'freedom of navigation' transit of the strait between Taiwan and mainland China. China's military rebuked the US and Canada for 'deliberately provoking risk'.

So the Chinese warship was close to its territorial waters but the US warship was thousands of miles away from its territorial waters. Who would you say is the one antagonising? The US has manipulated the current war in Ukraine, the US blew up Europes gas supply lines, the US was involved in the Sudan conflict and the US has bases all over the world in other peoples countries. @@WallStreetUniversity Fun fact, next time, you can easily identify a ship by looking at the pennant number (usually painted at the side of the ship's hull, towards the front of the ship). Just input it into google and if you know the class of the ship, it helps too. But as I've seen the video, the pennant number can't be seen in this case

@@miguoyaowangthis is the Chung Hoon it was laid down in 2002 and is a Flight IIA Destroyer its nowhere close to being a "Grandma". Rust is normal for any ship that goes out to sea. That's what salt water does. It's cleaned and repainted when it returns to port.

The fact that the vessel is within view of the eye makes this near. The destroyer will be traveling through the wake which isn't a big deal but it's still a provocation.
