US Shocked! Turkish 6th Generation Fighter Jet Is Ready For Action
On February 21, 2024, Kaan conducted its maiden flight. Piloted by test pilot Barbados Demirbas, the fighter took off from the Mürted Airfield Command in North Ankara, flew to an altitude of 8,000 feet and a top speed of 230 knots. After 13 minutes of flight, it landed back at the same airfield and concluded a successful test flight. The test put Turkey among an elite group of nations that have dared and managed to successfully fly a functional fifth-generation fighter jet. Prior to Turkey’s addition, this group only consisted of the US, Russia, and China, the top three world powers all powered by trillion-dollar economies.

The narrator should have mentioned that Turkiye had to purchase the S-400 Triumf when US refused to sell it the Patriot SAM system. But it is better to be free to develop it's own fighter, because the F-35 has been beset by numerous problems, not the least being it's high maintenance cost.

KAAN completed its first flight on February 21, 2024. The first time is always the most important milestone in fighter jets. Now we continue with dozens more tests until it goes into production. The Turks will do it brilliantly. The target date for series production is 2028.

KAAN much better than F35....no doubt many countries will buy kAAN 5th generation stealth fighter jet. It's Time Turkiye build intercontinental hypersonic missile .
