The government now decides who gets them first and 90% of the essential workers on the list are on the bottom. All the suits sit at home typing emails. Go to work. Job site is open. I go to offices for essential businesses to perform work. Nobody in there is wearing masks because they don't exist. Police officers are not wearing masks in my state. tbh i feel like we're getting close to that. i just got back from taiwan. i was virus-free in taiwan and had my temperature checked daily and wore masks everywhere and washed my hands like crazy. if we wanted to enter any building, everyone had to have their temps checked and hands sanitized. then when i came back to the US, they didnt even check my temperature or test me. though i'm isolating on my own accord and checking my temp but still !! why arent they being more careful !!

Our friendly neighborhood tobacco industry decided as of late to encourage folks to get off the "cancer sticks" by veering people towards a new "healthier" way to do so: Vaping. This approach has sky rocketed amongst millenials and their younger age groups. As I type this response to you, the medical community is now looking at the ill effects of vaping, and how it could possibly make the user's lungs more susceptible to the COVID 19 virus! Old folks being more susceptible, huh? As of this week there have already been a handful of cases of younger ones either dieing or fighting for their life due to catching this virus. I can just about guarantee you this is just the tip of the iceberg. Staying indoors or at least just on your own property, and only being around your family members who also isolate themselves from others may not be the popular thing to do- but what a HUGE advantage it will put you in.

The issue is that everyone is frustrated, while they are all Americans just like us there are so many more things that could be done instead of just spreading the word and emphasizing social distancing. I mean I live here in LA and the amount of "essential businesses" here is stupid, the roads are just as full as normal and people are still not taking preventative measures despite all the talks about staying at home and handing out fines if found to not be an essential worker or performing a necessary action. We are past the critical point now and the best thing we should do is order hydroxychloroquine, institute Martial Law and begin handing out the drug because at least that would slow the spread even further and at least then we may know if that drug will help in treating Covid-19. Because even then, if we just order it and hand it out, assuming it works, people will just get infected again because no antibodies are produced. Things are insane here in Cali and are only going to get worse and worse and we need a federal government who will do more than just keep certain necessary actions in reserve and actually put things into motion and stop this quickly.
