The official position of the US is that Israel should get to decide when Palestine becomes a state. The US is not an honest broker and their current push for a “ceasefire” is largely about Israel’s failing economy and the coming US election.
@@giselapfeifer4666 It's an apartheid state, and the Palestinian people have a right to their own state as they were promised by the Western powers that created Israel.
@@thinkboxss spread some proof of that 7 oct was all lies all claims they did and have been doing to palestinians for generations the israelies themselves claim that humanity has always hated and killed them look at israel for at least last 70 years were is the proof of all the claims against arab freedomfighters all israeli has is their word wich already has been proven to be worthless as they can only lie and bear false witness
Of course I don't know, if anyone sees what I can see of my replies. But it seems I've just succeeded in posting a reply to an arrogant fool, after 3 previous attempts which it seems to me, have disappeared.
"Why is ceasefire in Gaza still elusive?" Because the Israeli govt doesn't want a ceasefire. Bibi is unalterably opposed to a ceasefire. Get rid of Bibi & there might be a chance for a ceasefire. But I doubt it.
Really, it's not accurate to call them Palestinians prisoners. It's war, and they are civilians (adults and children), not soldiers. Therefore, they are HOSTAGES not POWs! 👩🏻🎓
When Hamas was elected in 2006: 1. 50% of ppl currently in Gaza were not born 2. 25% of ppl currently in Gaza were under 18 3. 25% of ppl currently in Gaza were of voting age (~80% of which were registered to vote yet only ~40% actually voted). 4. This leaves only 8% of the current population that could have voted for or against Hamas. Therefore, it’s conceivable that only 5% of the current population in Gaza actually voted for Hamas. Hence, it can be argued that 95% of the current population had nothing to do with the election of Hamas, yet bound to the consequences of being ruled by this corrupt oligarchy that refuses to step aside. Just so we understand each other, not only are the majority of people in Gaza victims of Israel’s bombardment, they are also victims of Hamas, being held hostage by their own government. There needs to be more compassion in dealing with this situation.
...I don't know what to say or do. We failed as human beings in allowing this idea of Zionism. How can anyone say this is not a genocide. It is the TEXTBOOK definition of genocide.
Neteyahu would definitely preferred Republicans and especially Trump to be the next US president. Dissecting Bibi's visits to Mar-a-Lago and Bibi's comment about Harris' initial remarks about the Gaza war, I was very skeptical about what would have been the undertones of that meeting. Bibi might obviously be doing Trump a favour by carrying these assassinations, thereby prompting Harris to react negatively towards the Palestinian cause that would eventually angered the base of the Democratic party not to vote for her come November
Please get your terminology right as would clear up the current confusion. 1] Ceasefire proper = end of hostilites and withdrawal of IDF from Gaza. 2] Pause = just a pause where hostilites might be renewed. Stop mixing them up by talking about a ceasefire as if it could be a pause.
@@timtebone My reply stating that no peace is possible if Hamas only sees ceasefires as rearming periods is being censored. Imagine if WWII in Europe ended in a ceasefire after the west crossed the Rhine River. And Germany continually violated the ceasefire "because of 1918". There would not be the peace there is today in Europe.
@@bdinaz .I agree with that but we're not talking about the same people. One of these groups believe a god chose them to rule over us. The other one doesn't even have a country, a military, jets, tanks, submarines, water, electric, food........ One will never stop unless the regime is prosecuted And i know who funded ww2,
You seriously need to have better informed commentators. I recognise the need to have new voices…. But did you properly look at this guy beyond his Foreign Affairs publication?
Bottom line, losers will be losers.. Losers who cry, beg and blame, are just a bunch of weak cowards.. The one with courage will take responsibility even if its not their own actions, take responsibility for the people they were sworn in to protect...
Because the US hesitates Israel to tight hands if one of Arabs broke Israel agreement US emmidaitely take action but despite Israel took over philiopia corridor US never take any action misfortune Egypt still begging Israel to pool out that corridor that completely violated Israel Egypt agreement
@@noecadavona1862 you can cherry pick a holy book day and night but your belief doesn’t apply to the world as a whole. Even if you knew what you were saying, you wouldn’t understand it the way you’re saying it. The people of Moses today don’t even follow what Moses did and stood for so don’t use some man made religion to justify the narrative. Sorry sir. Do better research. Chosen ones were chosen to protect humanity not kill it. That’s today’s lesson for you. Take it to a synagogue that knows the real Moses and not the Moses and narrative that the media and govt has fed you. So dumb.
Well....if it is as bad as you say, then doesn't Hamas have an obligation to its people to stop the war as quickly as possible and end their suffering ?
The man's a fool. In case there are people who haven't realised, Palestinian land was taken from what was recognised as Palestinian ownership, without their consent, in 1948. That's theft. The U.N. did not give that land to anyone, they did not own it so it was not theirs to give. The U.N. made proposals. Which Palestinians had a perfect right to reject because it was their homeland. If Palestinians decide to give up that land of course it's their choice. But anyone giving up anything under duress, is not really giving. So what has the appearance of being given then, is really being taken without consent, so it's still being thieved. So rulership over what's taken is still illegal.
Palestinians never owned anything. They refused the 1948 partition and the land belonged to Egypt and Jordan until 1967. The Palestinians did not call for self-determination then. What changed?
@@mikeg2306 Having "refused the 1948 partition", did not disqualify Palestinians, from ownership, 😆 because the U.N. did N O T own the land 😆. Why is that not simple enough for you ? So they only had authority to make a proposal, which Palestinians had a right to reject. So saying, "they refused the 1948 partition", as though it did disqualify them, was an irrelevant diversion, which indicates trickery from a lying piece of detritus, doesn't it ? Such a trick, further indicates desperation, on the part of the liar, doesn't it ? What evidence do you have, of Egypt and Jordan having control over Palestine, before the Sykes-Picot agreement, which was imposed by people who did not own Palestine ?
@@mikeg2306 😂 So you didn't realise, "the partition" was a U.N. PROPOSAL ! 😆, nothing the U.N. could IMPOSE, 😆 so Palestinians had a perfect right to reject the deal, which would reward the Genocidal thieves. Why is that not simple enough for you? I don't believe you can really be so stupid, so what's your problem ?
What about it? You are looking at the devastation and mass slaughter of tens if no hundreds of thousands of innocent people and your concern first and foremost is What about the hostages? Well what about the thousands of hostages held in the prisons over there for the last 75 years. Many young children.
Hostages? Under the Hannibal doctrine the lives of Israeli hostages of forfeit. Israel killed over 300 hostages on October 7th and over 100 hostages in Gaza. Hostages? Israel now killed the lead negotiator for Hamas and the most moderate voice in Hamas. They killed an Islamic scholar and a gentleman. Obviously they do not want a hostage deal nor a cease fire. We can not stop them from lying to us, yet, but we can stop lying to ourselves.
No offense but this guy’s understanding of the resistance axis is very lacking. He’s making a lot of assumptions, stating them as facts, while being entirely wrong. He doesn’t understand the purpose/intent of the axis which makes the rest of his analysis incorrect.
