“Vietnam, which treats drug addiction as a social evil,” you’re not granted immunity by any foreign passport. Please as a foreigner living in Vietnam 🇻🇳, remember to “Just say no to drugs”.
@@fakennguyen7436For now until she's 5 years into prison life and realizes she's got the rest of her life rotting in Vietnamese jail. 😂. Won't be fun.
"Life in prison" = 4 years until the public forgets her case...then she pays an appellate judge off to overturn the conviction and deport her quietly. Welcome to Viet Nam.
Nobody said US passport will protect you from legal trouble in VN or in any country; that would be an idiotic idea. You just made it up, Ken. The drawback with having VN passport in addition to US passport is that VN passport/citizen will take precedent; i.e. some legal obligations afforded to US citizen will not be extended to dual citizenship. For example, they confiscate your properties and you can only sue them in VN, not in US since you are VN citizen first and foremost.
LOL... we all know this. First its jurisdiction. Second, if its a crime in one country, its highly a crime in another, so how can one country going to protect its citizen of a crime in another? But Ken had to come with something to make it sounds interesting. The moral of the story is, once you commit a crime, run with the loot to another country ASAP. That lady isnt too dumb, she distributed the $12mil usd to her families. how many of us ever will have $1mil usd? Look at her happy face.
he did not make it up, Vietnamese people abroad (Viet Kieu) actually talk to each other that if you come to Vietnam using US passport, rather than the Vietnamese one, if you get in legal issues, US government is gonna protect you. How naive they are
I saw a Facebook post showing this woman in court with a huge smile on her face, with 200+ comments of virtually every Vietnamese person praising her. I couldn't believe it.
Goodday Ken, What a great story thoroughly enjoyed it. She deserved what she got justice for the victims. Here in Australia that lady would of gotten a slap on the hand declare bankruptcy then 6 months later restart under a different company name & bad luck to the victims. Tell you what Western Countries can learn from Vietnam regarding justice. Another reason to love 😍 Vietnam. Real Justice Cheers Louis Kats your number 1 Fan in Melbourne, Australia 🇦🇺 🇻🇳
I think this is applicable to anyone from any country not just the U.S. Embezzlement is illegal in most country and if you're guilty, you deserve to spend time in prison. It's foolish to think that you can go into any foreign country and commit crimes without repercussion. If anything, you should be on your best behavior if you are a foreigner.
your answer is irrelevant, I asked if you’re innocent and got set up to be criminal what can you do in that case ? (please read my details comments above)!
@@publiccomments3140 I was replying to the title and the context of this video, NOT your question. If you got set up then you better hire a good lawyer and have an alibi!
is it possible that a clean, no criminal records, US citizen who lives a normal life, goes to vn and got set up scene became criminal and be imprisoned? for example, there’s certain forbidden drug or illegal thing appeared/located/found on her/his house/condo/apt from no where; that may have occurred while she/he. went out for dinning or groceries, etc. ? thanks
The realtor lady should have hired Mr Ken and he would have give her good advices and get her free in a few years after paying some fines like a good lawyer! Instead deth is meted out to the women! Is rough imprisonment for the realtor american! She will not like cockroach sanwich and water bug for desert! I will be hard for her in the jails!
How dumb do you have to be, to think just having a US passport gives you immunity from prosecution. All they have to do is watch the US TV show…. ¨Locked Up Abroad¨
A French guy I knew stole a Vietnamese flag from a government building when he was drunk on liberation day. He got 3 months in prison ans banned from VN for 3 years.
How is Ms doing? Did she give the peoples their monies back? Is she working in a mine or toilet factories to pay back the peoples? What is her release date?
If she still has that 12billion somewhere she will most likely be able to pay top political leader to get her out. The government in China, Laos, and Vietnam are so corrupted!
Hi Duong , are you sure if VK applied VietNam citizen ( VN passport ) then can buy , own RE in Viet Nam . My friend VK retiree tried it, lost money and said IT IS same as old day .
How was she able to sell properties when she didn’t outright own them and still had loans from banks? Do banks there hold the titles of the properties? How in the world any buyer would pay for the property in full and yet not getting the title of the place? The property investment laws would still be a mess there perhaps, so this lady can do fraudulent activities. When any country prohibits public peaceful demonstrations, that means only one thing, lacking freedom of speech and freedom of assembly.
LOL.. with the local officials help. Ken briefly mentioned it. Even if he didnt, its obvious. What does a title looks like in VN and who provides it? If someone with the keys to the house and title with the official seal, selling a nice house at a discount, and the house I like, I would buy it. LOL..I guess, I would be one of the victims.
is no good live with them without marry unless bar girl! peoples talk about you. do not play game with vetnam’s womans - marry them, specially hmong womans, or go home.
She was there to make business. Build condo, apartments, then sell them. She was financing through a Vietnamese bank, in the contract says she can’t sell those property without consent of the financing company. But she did anyway. Here in the US it’s similar situation in commercial real estate.
PLEASE REFINE YOUR USE OF THE WORD "BUY". AS WE KNOW, ALL LAND (EVEN MAN-MADE LAND) IS OWNED BY THE GOVERNMENT AND LEASED. Explain that leases expire for Foreigners, explain about how to recognise land that can only be sold for redevelopment and the restrictions that apply. I appreciate your videos BUT WORDS HAVE DIFFERENT MEANINGS IN DIFFERENT COUNTRIES.
Any sane person would not think that they are above the law just because they have a US passport. Those of us who were "boat people" who escaped Vietnam after the war would not think about going back to Vietnam to defraud the local people, only the recent Vietnamese who managed to get a US passport would think of going back to Vietnam to do something like this because they have connections.
In the video Ken made after this, I explained in the comments the huge issue in Vietnam in with real estate. They don't have title companies - no one to check if everything is legit in the closing of properties. No way to check real sold prices. How this woman was able to actually get the 12 million in her account AS A FUCKING REAL ESTATE AGENT is why buying land is gambling in Vietnam. They don't know proper due process to make these things safe. She likely bribed government officials. In America, they check titles and history relating to it. We at least make sure to check basic facts before transferring funds. In Vietnam, everyone is more gullible. So you can just forge documents and trust the realtor? Where the hell was the company/lawyer to verify everything? This Vietnamese/American woman knew how ridiculous the Vietnamese real estate system is and took full advantage of it. She's serving a life term, but all the buyers are still out of money. Boom, disappeared - sent her relatives I'm sure.
A RULE TO REMEMBER IS "IF YOU NEED A VISA TO ENTER A COUNTRY, YOU ARE A GUEST". Example, drugs are BIG TIME ILLEGAL, yet weed and less potent drugs are openly smoked in areas where drugs are grown such as LAO CAI, even looking like cigars but DRUGS TAKEN OUT OF REGION WILL GET YOU JAIL. ALL LAND CROSSING POINTS IN/OUT OF VIETNAM NOW HAVE SNIFFER DOGS. I frequently cross land borders. Wjen l cross l drive straight to dog kennel, get off my motorcycle / out of my car and go close to the dog so they can smell me. Sniffer dogs jump into trucks and buses to sniff AND ON TO ROOF TOP LUGGAGE Racks looking for drugs. POLICE also park on side roads and hide behind trees upto 5 miles from border crossings waiting to stop Vehicles.
I got the Vietnamese passport through your Ken Duong company a year back. How can I travel with both Vietnamese and Australian passports to and from Viet Nam. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
@truongsam9793 , we made this video that explains how you can travel with two passports. Check it out: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-KAn2QezaUpg.html
Sadly, unlike these 11 European countries (Germany, France, Italy, Spain, The UK, Russia, Belarus, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland), US citizens still need visa to visit Vietnam. When traveling, whether in Vietnam or any other country, it's important to honor and abide by the local laws and traditions.
By her smile, it says I am going to Dizneylands because I has USA passports. She must dream that she is in ride at Dizneylands when she in her jail crying about her treacherees!
I never read that anywhere either. Ms. Trinh never accused the US Embassy or the US government of not being to get her out of jail. Mike is just pedaling falsehoods and fear (Trump University style) to push his "get your Vietnamese citizenship" promotions. The irony is Mike may find himself in the same case as Mr. Trinh. Time will tell, right Mike?
Bottom line is you shouldnt open or do any biz in third world countries like vietnam. Vietnam has different set of laws and rules and they can easily slap you with any charges especially when your biz is getting big. Once the viet gov slap you with the charges, good luck my friend, you do you.
She had the brains to commit that fraud, but don't have the brains to find out about the legal implications of that country which she commits the fraud?
I’m sorry Ms. Trinh hurt so many people. I hope she understands how many people lost their life savings because of her greed. The forfeiture of all her money, property, and wealth, plus 10 years in prison should have been more in line for punishment, but then again she should’ve known the consequences and chances she took in VN.
Southeast Asian countries take their country and laws seriously including who comes in and how they behave within unlike many western countries like America where there is no more law enforcement resulting in anarchy and chaos. Be Respectful and be Respected is the rule of thumb in the places that you visit - your mother is not here to pick up after you make a mess !
You can always measure a country's intelligence by their marijuana laws.. If you can get in trouble for marijuana... But you cannot get in trouble for alcohol you know you are in the wrong country.. Just a matter of intelligence.
Your advices is too late for Ms Vu! Many peoples have no monies for applications passports so never can they apply but Ms Vu has too many monies for passport which is problems for her!
I can only say this woman is stupid. For immunity, I think you will need US Diplomatic Passport, then you will be protected, but you will get in trouble with the US
You were schooled in the US weren't you? You can't speak English this good. Your video on real estate plummeting in Vietnam was a banger. I can't even believe it wasn't scripted it was so good. Big up.
Why would you assume he is not from the United States? Our Attorney is a U.S. citizen. You can learn more about him on our RU-vid Channel. Thanks for watching.
@@duongglobalbusinessconsulting yes that is what I was talking about. He just speaks too well. This is what I meant. As for being a citizen, I feel sorry for him. It's a pretty bad citizenship to have.
The US passport gives you the best chance of leverage the embassy for getting a fair trial. That’s all you can ask for given the level of corruption in VN and trial without jury.
I have a kind advise to any one living & doing business in Vietnam to be very cautiously & ready to depart fast if the regime change their mind or their jungle laws including you, mr Duong
