Griner was arrested for beating her wife up in 2015 and then arrested for international drug smuggling and gets to go to the Olympics... the message they are sending is clear, and I categorically reject it.
The US got her out of Russia, but left others there that had done nothing wrong. She comes back, and instead of being grateful, she won't even stand for the national anthem. There is no way she should be representing the USA.
Caitlyn could have zero experience and I still would have gave her a spot, if you want to get more eye balls on the WNBA and increase revenue then why not put the most popular player on the team. I dont keep up with the WNBA but for a struggling league to make profit this would seem like a common sense move.
