Frank Sinatra was in a class all by himself. Never gonna be another like him. I wasn't born until late 1970s but my late grandma used to always listen to his music. It rubbed off on me. I have some of his albums in my vinyl collection. Rest in peace.
From the books I’ve read, Sinatra was an extraordinary man. He stood against racism. He was for civil rights. I will admire this man for those qualities and the greatness of his singing. A wonderful human being
Thomas Raffa Sinatra was THE voice of the 20th Century. I understand Bing Crosby said, "He has a once in a lifetime voice, why it had to be in *my* lifetime, I'll never know.” I thank God that I was fortunate enough to live during Sinatra's lifetime, and during a time when I could hear music anytime I wanted. How rich we all are to live at this time and to have heard the Maestro sing. I thought it was so fitting that he should leave the earth at the end of the century he defined. His music willl live forever.
I know where I was when Frank Sinatra died. On a lay-by in Louisiana on my first trip to the USA. Frank Sinatra was something! Timeless music and performances. Everyone should have one of his recordings.
Frank was an amazing singer .A Big loss to the world when he died he gave his fans so much pleasure over the years very talented man ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️💔💔💔💔😢😢😢
For me Frank remain one of the greatest singers of all times & he really gave us a great number of beautiful songs his voice is showing his quality & of how he is approaching naturally the beautiful phrases & capturing completely the moment of the influence on us he really has it I spared the new York which always remain one of my favorite .
Amazing. So many superstars turning out to pay their respects to Frank. Many of the faces i see are no longer with us now. Frank was a very special man. I hope he is resting peacefully up in heaven with God. AMEN.🙏⚘⚘⚘⚘⚘
Funny how times changes you ..... I didn't really go for him much in the 60/70's As I aged I realised just how unique he was . A fine wine I recognised his ability to get more out of one line of lyric than anybody else . He didn't just sell a song... He took you full journey ...... He gave a lifetime of memory and soul searching ...... Cheap at the price RIP Sir Sinatra 👋👍😊
Then you missed a lot I am not keen on his early years but in the 50s oh boy Learning the blues ,Love is the tender trap ,All the way My way,Strangers in the night and so on It was 1953 when I first fell for his voice Still enjoy playing his music

Tremendous loss to the world when we lost Frank Sinatra on 5-14-98. What an artist he was. I like the white heart in the sky, how appropriate that someone did that! FS gave us almost 60 decades of beautiful music, which may be listened to by many until at least the end of this century, and maybe into the next! Thank you, Frank, for your music, which has lifted the spirits of so many for so long! It's been 20 years now, since he has been gone and it's hard to believe. I will always love his music; I will always remember meeting him several times and attending his concerts a number of times. RIP, FS.
@Roger Martin No, Frank Sinatra was gracious to all of the singers in his era but he stated that Tony Bennett "had the best pipes in the business" and additionally, Elvis and Sinatra were two very different types of singers. They met on one show, but it was more for publicity than artistry! Sinatra was well known by then, Elvis was a great fad, while it lasted, but Sinatra's music is legend and far more lasting. If you're still around 3/4ths of a century from now, you will see and realize that! Sinatra's vocal range was far greater than Elvis, (who couldn't play more than about 4 chords on his guitar) and just wasn't the musician that Sinatra was; overall, there's just no comparison!
@Roger Martin I couldn't disagree more! Sinatra brought something to a song that none of the others could. Not just tone, but phrasing, range, pause, and inimitable style. No one could match that--not Bing Crosby, not Elvis Presley, not even Nat ;King' Cole, however great he was. And Tony Bennet is nowhere near Sinatra's range.
I have Sinatra as part of my favorites on Sirius in my car. All the old wonderful songs and all the best voices that are no longer with us. RIP to you all.
I was in the parking lot of a theater in Florida back in the seventies. Sinatra was going to sing at the theater later that evening. As I was walking across the lot a helicopter came down from the sky and out bounced the man himself. As luck would have it another man with a baby in his arms was standing next to me. Sinatra walked right up to us because he wanted to see the kid. His eyes were strikingly blue. He touched the baby and said some nice things and moved on. I was dumbfounded.
I was in Hamburg Germany peforming, and the only station that spoke English was CNN - and when they said that "America says good-bye to ole blue eyes" I cried like a baby - in between my sets for performing I cried for 2 whole days! RIP Frank Sinatra - there'll never be another like you!!!
A bygone era that could never be duplicated, Vegas is ghost of what it use to be it has been Disney-fied.Thank you Mr Sinatra for the music my parents loved and i grew to appreciate, you are still The Chairman Of The Board.
A great interpreter. A pop man All his most beloved Friends were there to show to him how grateful they were for everything Frank did for them Most beloved Grate interpreter
Don Rickles must have been really torn up about Frank Sinatra's death because Sinatra helped launch Rickle's career in the early days, RIP to both of them.
Didn't anyone read Tina Sinatra's biography, like I did? She said that stubborn body wouldn't let him go, and when he finally passed away, she said "He didn't die; he escaped".
That was really much more touching than I thought it would be especially watching his biography last night on how he really spun the world backwards on racism before anyone else really... He was a good man besides being a big talent and that skywriting of a heart was very beautiful God bless you Mr Sinatra
MY FIRST JOB IN RENO BACK IN 1976.WORKED AT HARRAHS IN THE DAYCARE CENTER..IT WAS RIGHT OVER THE DINNER THEATER ORCHESTRA PIT..ME AND THE KIDS LAID ON THE FLOOR AND LISTENED TO OL BLUE EYES FRANK SINATRA..
I met him in his estate in palm spring, , , a short time before this day, , I am glad I did, in spite of what they say , I could realise that he has been alive and still is,in his own way.
I wanna cry just watching this; even many of the people at his funeral are now gone. God bless dear George Burns too. He would have been about 98 there, still looking good!
Frank had it all, money, fame, connections, but no matter who you are, once you're dead life goes on without you. But saying that this was 21 years ago and a lot of these stars have also passed away, never more to have that warm Californian sun beating down on them.
Amen 😇😇😇 Mexico lost recently a singer very similar In singing style Mr.Jose Jose they called him the "Prince of the song "9-29-19 RIP😔😔 RIP Mr.Sinatra 5-14-98 also both singers had angelic voices Mr.Jose Jose and Mr. Sinatra legends
Ishen you dont have to be of a specific generation to love Frank Sinatra music it was and is special because every note he sang was heart felt lyrics were the most important to him music is eternal i love Sinatra and iam in my 70s but little kids love him too if their parents exposed good music to them keep listening ok
I 've cross the Lincoln Tunnel many times as a coach driver pack with tourists comming from Canada to New York during my career and guess what the tour guide was playing on the CD player system ?
Love him or hate him frank sinatra was a legand people will talk about him for ever and his music will live on vagas in the late 50s 60s was the place to be the ratpack on top of there game at the sands all gone now legands all in a great time..
Tony Chuter Apart from Joey Bishop, who survived until 2007, Frank was the last of the Rat Pack to go. Even The Sands his now been pulled down. So sad that whole wonderful era is now only history...
Notice all the ignorant crowd bystanders yelling. This is a funeral, for God's sake. Even if it weren't for Frank Sinatra - such bad taste of people. Ugh.
