I applied for an f2 visa. But on my application form , i filled that i would be staying in the us for 1month as its meant for my leave. Hope it wont affect my chance of getting a visa as most f2 visa are expected to stay back as long as the f1 visa holder.

Pls I have a question to ask. My wife is in the US doing her masters. She gave birth in the US too but during her final, she decided to bring back the baby so she can focus more on her studies. The baby is here in Nigeria with me but can't cope with the harsh weather and bad water. He is currently having skin infection and rashes all over his body. If an F2 Visa applicant suffers from breast cancer and has to prevent from reengagement by post treatment specific safety procedures, would this clarification alongside with an official letter authorized by her oncologist in first country, be a reputable evidence that she will not try to change her Visa to F1 at US, since her major is chemistry? Will this illustration persuade the officer?

Hi Sachi, good job. I have a question my F1 visa will expire in July 2023 as they give me 1 year visa. but my I-20 is valid up till 2026. I have applied F2 visa for my husband and 3 kids. Hello Sachi, I have a question. This is more related to the process. My husband and I are planning to give the interviews separately due to time mismatch. I am applying for F1 and he for F2. While filling the visa application(not DS 160), there is a section to add the dependents. In this case, since we are giving the interview separately, should I add him as the dependent or not?

I think dependent means sponsor If your husband is sponsoring your education you should mention him

Hi Shachi. Is the F1 principal applicant's signature on the I20 mandatory on the F2 I20 for the visa interview?

@Harmanjit singh I think it's better to get it signed by your spouse. If he/she is already in the US, ask him/her to take a print, sign it and then scan it back to you over mail. You can then take the print and go to the interview. I did the same.
