I just have a question . Is it possible that having an open petition for a K1 visa, I can obtain a B1 B2 visa, if my intentions are only for vacations? This is quite nonsensical, to be quizzed like a sub-human for something as private and personal as marriage. For an H4/F2/L2 why would someone working in a reputable organization indulge in fraud for marriage and risk their career and deportation? My wife has no idea what I do because its incredibly complex, yet the visa officer asks a non-technical person "what is your husband working on". ALL the Americans who I interacted with at the university international student center having degrees in international studies or immigration law had a poor understanding of eastern people and cultures, unless they were first/second gen immigrants. I cant imagine anything different with a visa officer.
