I honestly think US fans need to admit their players aren’t as good as they think they are with maybe 3 exceptions. They are convinced that without the red they would beat Panama (a team the have lost to in 3 of the past 4 games now). Yeah the manager sucks, but it’s not like the rest of the team is all that great. To me, it feels like arrogance.

I used to think getting European experience is more valuable ( it is still in many ways) but for international football, you can get away with players bejng in weaker leagues. Look at the euros and I watch a team like Slovenia or Slovakia almost beat portugual and France. I feel like the US need to just put a good honest soccer team that plays hard and tactically smart. For me international football is just about winning and showing on the field you will win as hard as you can. It’s why even if Slovenia/ Slovakia literally played a low block all game against Portugal and England, it was still fun to watch ( at lest for me) or just a good performance because even if they are less talented, they had such a good strategy and are committed to it. I feel the US team just need to learn the basic fundamentals and master it and should be ingrained in all levels. In feel the US can learn so much from mid tier European nations who for my opinion are making it harder for too European teams. I feel the US can succeed with a better master development of the game from all levels. It’s takes time and development but I don’t care if there is still college soccer or high school soccer, kids should be taught the right way to play and know how to play it consistently. Tactics is a big part in what wins you games in international football for my opinion.

These fans (even in the comments) are absolute casuals. How do I know? First, you would pay $200 for ticket supporting this dogshit federation AND expecting anything from a Berhalter team. Second, the players ARE good enough. We have a Champions League winner, one of the best LBs in the entire Prem, one of the best midfielders in Serie A, former top scorer in Ligue 1. When have we ever been able to say something like that??? Yes the players are soft, but you must be blind if you can’t see that Gregg is the main reason they don’t play well.

The problem is CONCACAF is a joke. When your hardest rivals are Mexico and Canada (which was pretty decent BTW, all things considered) you know the level is not good enough to face CONMEBOL or UEFA teams.

I don't care about the referee, the red card v.s. Panama, or the lazy 2-0 win against Boliva. Berhalter has shown zero capability to make changes during the game that isn't bunkering and inviting the other team to attack us until the last 5 minutes when we now need a/another goal. We have seen this over and over for 5 YEARS!!! We needed to win against Uruguay and came away with 0 goals and a .5 xg.... When scally got injured Greg was about to put in Shaq moore instead of an attacking player when we needed a win in this game, then telling the players the score of the Panama/Boliva game right before that set piece that led to that goal against us tells me he was playing for a draw and hoping Boliva would win or draw their game. Greg has a loser mentality. If the fans that want to keep him are okay with our ceiling being a couple of lucky moments against Trinidad and Jamaica then beating Mexico every year, you deserve this loss..... The smart fans of this team that have been calling for "Greg out" since he was still choosing MLS players over our European talent don't deserve this and honestly should get a public apology from Greg and the federation
