My god... USA can't be in the level of Uruguay are you kidding look at that midfielder and Back line of Uruguay and they don't have a player like fede Valverde....
Yeah but anything can happen, Mexico and the Usmnt will be hungry and looking to get that 1st goal. Uruguay and Ecuador can fumble it by underestimating us. Maybe its not probable but its possible.
@@BeHumbleAndLessArrogantBruh,this is not Mission Impossible. This arrogant USMNT will get destroyed by Uruguay.Cuz they're looking to top the group. And Mexico ain't beat Ecuador either. The US and Mexico is going to get grouped.
@@marktheshark7588I'm not saying they're going to win, I'm just saying its possible, even if its a slim chance. Ecuador isnt on Uruguays level though, so Mexico has a better chance, i mean both lost to Venezuela. Anyways, I argree with you on the arrogance, it's been true for awhile. It even shows when they keep blaming Gregg, he even took a hit of blame for the red card during this video.
@@BeHumbleAndLessArrogant If the US goes toe to toe against Uruguay, they are going to get destroyed by Uruguay. US can only hope Uruguay rest key players and they are able to get 1 goal on a set piece and defend to the death. Best case scenario, they get a tie and somehow Panama can't beat Bolivia.
@@BeHumbleAndLessArrogant Not a fair comparison. Venezuela had it easier because Ecuador got a red card and it was one of their best player. Just how Panama beat the US with one man down, if Venezuela didn't beat Ecuador with one man down, then that would be crazy.
Funny how he can’t analyze the football after getting a red card in the 20th minute but you were able to analyze and criticize Ecuador when they lost being a man down almost similar situation as the USA, take accountability and analyze the team’s performance like u did when Ecuador was down 10 men.
Well said. There are teams that are down to 10 players and still manage to do something more than 26% possession and some plays here and there. But hey why analyze a bad performance when you can just blame the one player, the coach and call it a day? 🤷🏽♂️
If THE US is as good as bro claims then they should’ve won … he’s really not facing the lost. He’s criticized other teams with red cards before. If they’re that good they could’ve beat PANAMA EASILY WITH A RED
Yeah, if that would have happened with Mexico, then you'd know they'd be heavily scrutinized for shooting their own foot! And rightfully so! Getting a red card doesn't make you a victim. It makes you liable and its on em, dude definitely making excuses!
You can tell soltero is hurt, that narrative doesn’t cover it at all 😂, all that is part of fútbol, it’s crazy that bc it’s not in your favor you have to cover it. It’s obviously part of the game, Reynoso is right, and these are the exact same things coaches ask you and analyze about you when recruiting you, your mentality and talent.
Tactical foul by Carrasquilla, cards are erased only misses one game if they go through.. URUGUAY IS NOT GOING TO PLAY A B TEAM. It’s not the Bielsa way. It’s wishful thinking.. any changes would be because they’ve been planned in advanced.
I am Panamerican my Dad was in the US Military mom is Panamanian. I AM SOO HAPPY Panama won. They always get screwed up at last minute by the refs when they play USA or Mexico. They deserve the win this time no matter how they got it.
History of fútbol is full of stories of 10 men beating 11 men. In South America there is a phrase that says. “God please protect me against teams with 10 players”
@@BeHumbleAndLessArrogantYou’re right the red card is irrelevant but he’s incompetent. He’s simply not good enough for this level. Not everyone can be great, otherwise the word loses its meaning!
@@wuxiagamescentral Of course they are gonna say that, you don't wanna undermine your coach before a major tounament. But frankly if he keeps his job after USA gets grouped, I would be shocked. But then again it's US Soccer.
@@BeHumbleAndLessArrogantThe way he reacted tactically. He pulled off arguably his 2 best players to play in transition. An invited pressure for over 80 minutes.
I agree about emotions, it is definitely an important part of the game. It is quite amateur to do what Weah did. Best players in the world did similar things but that never get to a good result for them. Zidane for example, one of the best players in the world had one of these moments in a World Cup's final. It can happen but it is sth to work out. And doing that when your country is hosting for the first time in the history a Copa America and impacting so bad on your national team is definitely sth to regret. I hope Weah find peace somehow about this.
I don't know what this guy is on. You can still analyze the team even with one player down. lol Yes the red card affected the game, but you can still critique players and praise players. For example, that second goal, the keeper should've saved that or falling asleep and letting Panama tie the game immediately after scoring.
I agree with the take on Berhalter but they had all the time and opportunity to change managers before and they didn’t. Berhalter won’t be fired the US federation will keep him no matter what until the World Cup
You can have some decent footballers in Europe, but having poor mentality, bad tactics, and just straight up arrogance or lack of effort will completely sink a team.
Wrong! We do not have decent players in Europe! I think they are kit sellers, snickering. Seriously though, De La Torre and Reyna and Pulisic and freaking CADE COWELL would give the world headaches like Donovan and Dempsey, yet Gregg is a moron. MY squad? Oh so Gervhino. Or Gattuso. I am going to select our Garrinchas, plebeian! Gregg has THAT agenda though.
I guess the USA learned football, wow! Shocked Portugal with 3 goals in a blitz, then held on 3 to 2 for a World Cup Group Stage Game One victory. That's from 02.
You absolutely can analyze the tactics. Playing a 5-2-2 instead of a 4-4-1. Where was Musah? Why sub Balogun? Horvath was shaky is he really a #2? CCV was not good.
@@benjaminaraya8073 I mean even younger & amateur talents would not really doing that kind of foul unless if he gets bait just like Zidane's foul in past WC.
"They didn't beat us! We beat ourselves! " 😂 and "If we had played with 11 we totally would have won, no doubts" - keep doing that, living in that world of fantasy instead of the real world, it's gonna be fun watching you get destroyed by Uruguay 🤣
Just one more for Soltero to go over... 2011, Quarter finals, Argentina vs. Uruguay. Diego perez from Uruguay sees a Red in the 38th minute of the first half. Uruguay buckle up and manage to maintain the 1-1 throughout to then go and Beat Messi's Argentina in penalties. Uruguay then weng on to win the whole thing. There's a way to play a man down and still get a result, the US just are nit at that level. You might be tempeted point to the fact that there's a difference playing a man down for 52 minutes and 80 minutes... There is also a difference playing a man down againsta Argentina (with prime Messi) vs doing that against Panamá. The US is just not upnto the task, and that you don't see that or can't own up to it is just sad. Good luck on Monday.
17:34 Uruguay is not playing a B team, it's not in us to do that, it's not in Bielsa either, and Uruguay is not qualified yet. Mathematically there is still a chance we could get grouped... Realistically that won't happen, but the chance is there, so I'm betting we will come out swinging. But even if it is a Uruguay B team, you must at this point realize that a Uruguay B team is still better than a US A team....
Not a weirdo, he just has a very superficial and basic understanding of football, and lets his emotions and wishful thinking lead his analysis. He's been saying they would top the group and get to a semifinal! That was funny months ago, it was hilarious yesterday, and now it's just sad.
The amount of cope and excuses in this video is ridiculous. But this arrogant and overrated USMNT deserves to lose. And I ain't seeing them beating Uruguay. They ain't got a chance against them.
Oh piss off, Panama was lucky as hell. Undeniably. Early goal was off, referee let Panama thug it out all day, and they barely eked out a win up a man 80+ minutes. Nothing to do with the USA players being "arrogant." 11 v 11 would be a drubbing.
Absolutely love how our Golden Generations of US players got there A$$ handed to them by team full of MLS players. Pulisic makes more money then the entire Panama club salaries combined.
8:54 Jajaja even when you didn't absolutely need a win and could calmly play out the game against Uruguay a win was a tall order! Now with a desperate US team that will surely leave a lot of open spaces while trying to attack, it's a pipedream. And lets not forget that even if the US wins they might still get grouped due to goal diferential if Panama beat Bolivia by 3 or more (which honestly is much more likely the a US win over Uruguay).
It's quite simple. If you go down a man it all comes down to the tactics. The coach needs to step up and control the game. The US went up 1-0. Needed to start to park the bus and just have speed up top for when chances come. This is the coaches fault (and Weah).
I already knew we would be placed in Group A with the same teams. The AFC president is an Arab from Bahrain who has issues with Iranians. Since Australia moved to the AFC, they avoid placing Australia and Iran in the same group. This has been happening since 2010. Additionally, when tensions between Iran and Saudi Arabia increased, the AFC decided not to place Iran in the same group as Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and Bahrain. I can prove my point. If you check previous Asian Cups, the AFC somehow avoids placing Iran, Saudi Arabia, and Australia on the same side of the bracket. Also, if you noticed, the AFC moved Iran from West Asia to Central Asia, and they will likely do this against Iranian clubs soon. Now, we can easily qualify for the World Cup, but no one will play friendlies against us because of political reasons.
Tho very much impossible Uruguay is not 100% qualified If USA beats them with a big enough score ie 4-0 and Panama routes Bolivia to up their goal difference Uruguay can see a 3 way tie and be out
Yea but Carrasqulla got a red card to stop USA from scoring and win the game for his team! Weah got a red card for his own pride! That's the difference between Men and children. Children only care about themselves! Men think about the team! The Unit! The Nation! Men sacrifice themselves in order to make sure the whole Team and unit make it to the next round! Carrasquilla's decision making was spot on and it's thanks to that Panama gets to take on Bolivia with the leg up! Carrasquilla will be back for the KO rounds!
I'm not even American but the embarrassment I felt was mad. This probably worse than Ivory Coast. I knew that they could do something against my Senegal. But Urugay??? Hell nah. When I saw Weah do this my first thought was "Fuck this shit I'm out". We are not just getting grouped. We are getting cooked.
Let's say this. I hate it when the red card comes out of nowhere. I can understand Soltero's feeling, but I hope you can move on asap. And don't worry guys, when Uruguay beats USMNT, Soltero would give the real analysis.
Yeah but who the hell was Argentina fielding who were CL and international proven?? Especially back in 2021 when this dynasty began. Outside of Messi and Di Maria who?? MacAllister at Brighton? De Paul at Udinese? Enzo at Benfica? Alvarez at River Plate? Romero at Spurs? Molina?? Tagliafico?? An aging Otamendi? Paredes?? Lo Celso?? Those two are busts. Emi Martinez was a nobody.
@@shen.danielwell that’s a copout, no offense. Sure the game changes dramatically, but many teams have won under that pressure and typically when they don’t its because both teams are even. Look at the stats, xG in particular, both teams had virtually the same quality of chances created. To add insult to injury, USA could not fight for possession against a team that is not known to play some tiki-taka type style, they simple don’t have the players for that. I’d say if anything this proves that Berhalter’ idea to press in the midfield completely failed and the US team tactically is one trick pony and lacks the ability to do something other than play long balls/quick transitions. Also the fact the he puts the US on par with Uruguay…man c’mon you can’t really trust a guy with that kind of take.
@@hr-g4640 and Portugal had Antonio Silva, Neto, Felix, Inacio, Costa, and CR7. What’s more important is mentality. Uruguay would be coming in knowing the game doesn’t matter whether they are their starters or not. Georgia was able to take advantage of that and they’re worse than us.
Dude, there's a bunch of matched where a team loses one or more players and they can keep up and even win... is not an excuse for not evaluate the team because they dont have all the players. The players that were in the field matter, they were there for the rest of the match, for their fans, for their honor... if the USA would of win this game with one less player you would definitely evaluate the team and even prise them because they won with one man down. There is no fair in futbol matches. It happened, suck it up and move on.
I get the point that a red card denaturalizes a match. That is totally true and I agree. However, calling it "not a part of football" or something outside of the game is nuts. As a peruvian, we always have this stupid decisions from players costing us red cards and I would never even dare think of the hipotheticals of 11 v 11. It is your responsability as a team not to get a man sent off. What if a red card is provoked by the other team, such as a good dribble that leaves him 1-on-1 in front of goal which forces the defender to stop him no matter what. Now you can't rate a team's performance due to that? Come on. If we dive in hipotheticals, Peru would beat Canada, Ecuador would beat Venezuela, etc. That is simply not true and I'm sorry, but does sound like an excuse.
Under that take, it would be kinda hipocritical to rate a USA win against Uruguay now that Uruguay is qualified, basically. Even if they play their A team, you could say "oh, they weren't going full throttle at the USA 'cause they were through" or whatever you want to dismiss their victory, which would be not fair either.
I'm usually Sad, Depressed, Lethargic, But now I'm just angry. I was so pissed I forgot Mexico lost and Canada barely won. I haven't been this angry about a football game since Japan lost to Belgium 2018. I've seen bad plays that led to the defeat. But this was so avoidable. No red card we win this game. Soltero I have no idea where your optimism is coming from. Making it to the QF now would be more impressive than what Ivory Coast getting lucky to be in the round of 16.They have Ghana to thank for that.
Listen while yes if we had 11 we win. But the reaction technically on the end of greg is ridiculous. When you get a red you must have a plan. Thats your job as a Coach. He has shown on multiple occasions that he cant adapt or improve this team. Pulling off gio then later balogan is ridiculous. When you must play in transition you don't pull off your 2 best players in transition and invited pressure for 80 minutes. Fire Berhalter now no excuse.
Stop scapegoating Weah. If you watched the game we had our chances to win or at least draw and didn’t take them. A perfect counter and cross with an easy header in the 6 YARD BOX. And it was the weakest shit I’d ever seen. That game winning goal went straight through that nobodies hands. WEAK. Were mentally WEAK (especially Weah) and physically weak too. We were tired and soft.
Such a cop out from Soltero, a man down so I can't analyze anything. US played poorly, could not show up when tjings weren't going their way. There is a way to play with a man down and neither Berhalter nor the players figured out how to do that. That just shows the usnmt is not really at a true competitive level. Soltero has been running his mouth saying they would top the group, he has to swallow that pill now.
That is true. Yea USA is down a man, but we need to know how to play when things aren't going our way too! We can't just focus on the tactics on the good days. The most amount of learning comes from analyzing tactics on the bad days!
I really love this show but solteros takes are some of the dumbest I’ve ever heard from an analyst. The patience I need to listen to him every episode 😂 no hate, I just gotta get that off my chest
Damnn, weah gets red card and ruined my bill 🗿 He does too many random things on the field, back to the MLS morning league that's better for cash balance
