Am I the only one that likes her??? Hahahah.. She's very pretty, eloquent, and confident.. The one thing I don't like is her catwalk. Her body is not the best either, but from the right angles, it looks amazing! Top 10, maybe? She's not in my top 5 anymore after seeing much stronger candidates!
Misses USA will ALWAYS be seen with certain rigidity and with suspicion because the organizer of the Miss USA and Miss Universe are the same, not to mention that usually they have special treatment different of other girls and they can win the MU when Trump wants it. But anyway, here's the facts: Nia is beautiful, elegant, she's a beautiful American/Latin mix, she was the big surprise when he arrived in Doral (before that she wasn't a favorite), but after seeing other candidates more strong, she lost her luster. She will place in the Top 15 for being Miss USA, can even catch a Top 10 if she do well in the final night, but I see a Top 5 unfair if she can get that far. It would be nice to see different countries in the Top 5 without the repeated figures we always see every year: USA, Philippines and Venezuela, everyone is tired of it.
I agree 100%. I thought she'd win but after seeing the other girls I doubt she'll even make in the top 5 but she'll definitely make top 10 because she has strong potential. I think Spain will win. Nia Sanchez is a beautiful Latin mixed girl with good poise & she's one of the crowd favorite.
Miss USA made it to the top 5, actually 1st runner-up. She seems like a cool person (especially since she is a black belt), but this isn't a martial arts competition lol. Judging by her facial beauty, although beautiful, she definitely wasn't among the most beautiful. Her interview answers were also blah. But she still made it to 1st runner up. What?!? She made it to the ranks of Shandi Finnessy, who was absolutely breathtaking, had an angelic face, statuesque figure, and divine stage presence. I really thought Shandi would win that year, but she didn't! Nia should have only made it to the Top 15....Top 10 at most. But 1st runner up? No...there were more deserving candidates than her.
***** Obviously any ethnic group can be Miss USA. Robert was just proud that someone with Latin heritage is representing USA. Most of the time that's not so.
***** Your comparing developing countries, India and Brazil (who are vastly growing), with developed countries...Not a great comparison. Homogenous societies (to a degree) tend to be against diversity as well. Take a look at Switzerland's view to foreigners, and how difficult it is to become a citizen in Sweden & Norway. The U.S. is relatively a functional society when it comes to incorporating diversity. Of course issues still exist, but in a sense its a success story compared to others when it comes to diversity. :)
What? Where are you getting your statistics, and claims that diversity will ruin the country? On the contrary it has been most influential. We are no longer in the 1960's we are in 2015 and to say that other ethnic groups are ruining society is ridiculous. The type of attitude you are portraying is quite ethnocentric, and goes against the U.S belief entirely.. This country is not just for "white" people. Did you know the Irish were not even considered "white" when they first immigrated to the U.S., in fact they were unwanted and disliked. Ridiculous, no? American culture is 90% borrowed a variety of elements and practices of cultures. Diversity has done a ton for our society, hello! Look at the ideologies used to make our constitutions. We can learn from every group of people, we have for centuries. Most of our culture is not even our own, its mashed together by other cultures. In the state I live in (Ca.), you see different aspects of culture everywhere (street names, people, house style, food). Here's a small excerpt from Ralph Linton's The Study of Man: Our solid American citizen awakens in a bed built on a pattern which originated in the Near East but which was modified in Northern Europe before it was transmitted to America. This citizen throws back covers made from cotton domesticated in India, or linen domesticated in the Near East, or wool, from sheep also domesticated in the Near East or silk the use of which was discovered in Asia(China). All these have been spun or woven by processes invented in the Near East. This citizen slips into his moccasins, invented by the Indians in Eastern Woodlands and goes to the bathroom whose fixtures are a mixture of Euro. and American inventions. He takes off pajamas, a garment invented in India, and washes with soap, invented by the Gauls. He then shaves, a masochistic rite which seems to have been derived from either Sumer or ancient Egypt. Lets skip a bit to breakfast where he stops to buy a paper paying for it in coins which is an ancient Lydian invention. At the restaurant a whole new series of borrowed elements confront him. His plate is made of a form of pottery invented in China. His knife is of steel and alloy first made in southern India, his fork a medieval Italian invention, and his spoon a deriative of a Roman original. He begins breakfast with an orange, from the eastern Mediterranean, a cantaloupe from Persia, or perhaps a piece of African watermelon. Continuing on in the day, while smoking he reads news of the day, imprinted in characters invented by the ancient Semites upon a material invented in China by a process invented in Germany. **As he absorbs the accounts of foreign troubles he will ,if he is a "good" conservative citizen, thank a Hebrew deity in an Indo-European language that he is 100% American.** Because you know, diversity in culture is "evil" and brings down society. *rolls eyes*
She's so pretty and fresh. She, Miss Colombia and Miss Venezuela are the only girls that caught 100% of my attention among the interviews. I think she's will be in the top 5, and maybe she will be the 1st runner-up. I'm pretty sure USA won't win this year, even though Nia is a strong contestant.
Nia,my mom is Mexican 🇲🇽 I'm half Mexican 🇲🇽 Where is Nia in 2021 she is very good, best Miss USA 😘🤗😘 ever your very funny for me and my sister ,Hope somebody like you meet you one day Plus don't let nobody push you stop you and take it from you keep your head up high and neither for my sister nobody annoyed will happen to her.

Don't be mad babies that a sexy latina is representing USA! Next year they might be a asian or black or maybe a Indian looking girl lol soo sad for y'all! God bless amuricuh
It's wonderful that she won USA, but there are so many MUCH stronger candidates. I'll be really, really disappointed if this one makes it to the Top 5.
Overrated ! She gets special treatment so much, just because she is Miss USA. She looks too simple, and not that special. but because she is Miss USA , who knows what will happen in the finals. It might be rigged again.
People need to grow up...she not latino are whatever your going to say next.....she an American. Win are lose.....she's an American. Go America!!! My home sweet home!!
LOVE. HERRRRRRR AND OMGOSH, I JUST SAW KAYLEEN IN THIS VIDEO! I HAD TOTALLY FORGOTTEN THAT SHE GOT TO MEET HER! Sahony Denisse Cifuentes Ketsy Cifuentes
Servida! ;)

.There's two types of Mexican Americans, Americanized and non Americanized!and she is extremely Americanized and ''wish I wasn't of Mexican background type.''
Men her skin looked burnt, too much tanned. Not so natural, she doesn't even have that feminine look she does have a dry skin masculine woman. I mean this is not WOMANS body builder competition. HAHAHA! Her legs are wide open when she walks #NOCLASS #LOOKSTRANGENDER I will go for Miss PHILIPPINES! She has everything what it takes to be Miss U! Smart, elagant, contoured body, perfect smile and most of all she is well prepared and confident enough. LOVE HER. Break a leg Miss PHILIPPINES.
Dumb question, but why is Nia allowed to use "Miss USA" as her Miss Universe moniker, while everyone else has to be known as "Miss Universe COUNTRY", even if they were crowned something else?
In some country they have a different contestant for each pageant... Let explain... For example... Ana v. is crowned miss Colombia but to represent Colombia at Miss Universe they use Melissa who competed just to represent Colombia at Miss Universe... in that case Melissa is Miss universe Colombia. . While Jasmin is Miss Egypt. And she also represents Egypt at Miss universe... Not every country hold different contest for woman to go specifically at those pageant... ( hope you understand what i tried to explain)... ***those are just examples... not real contestants names
Mexico is the same way, although is not Miss Mexico, but Nuestra Belleza Mexico. They make no distinction like Nuestra Belleza Universe Mexico, although they do for the contestant participating in Miss World and Miss International, namely, Nuestra Belleza Mundo Mexico and Nuestra Belleza International Mexico, respectively.
Because in some countries they are involved in other international pageants, like Miss Supranational, Miss International, Miss World, etc. Such as a representative from the Philippines could be Miss World-Philippines, Miss International Philippines, etc. but they are two different contestants going to two different competitions. As for the USA, Miss Universe is the only major pageant we're involved in.
"It was SOO much fun" "That was SO much fun" Geez come up with some new phrases. She's gotta be the worst Miss USA we've had in a long time and the most boring. Plus all she ever talks about is Tai Kwon Do, she tells the same story every interview she does. Of course she's going to make top 15 though because she's Miss USA and the pageant is being held in the United States this year but she'll be clapping the rest of the night.
Como siempre miss usa impecable y lo mejor del caso es que tiene algo de latina y europea México - alemana para mi que es una de las indicadas para estrenar la nueva corona de m.u. "DIC "
Congrats Nia Sanchez! You're the 1st Runner-up Miss Universe 2014. Even you did not win. You're still MUO family. And meet your new sister Miss Universe 2014 Paulina Vega👭
