This is just stupid. No offense to you personally but this is complicating something with zero benefit of doing so. Use a truckers hitch and a daisy and be done. You yourself commented on the best attachment video you did that you didn't include the truckers hitch bec you felt like you might as well use a rope mod if your going to do that. Then you promote this.
i bought the USA double bury, for platform looks nice doing on ground love to see you do up on sticks. I have been for last week and not easy holding preasure on platform and do all the pass through pull and hook.. oh yeah the shrink wrap fell off after several uses i need to go buy some new shrink wrap because amsteel is fraying alot...
Passing the rope through the schwabish can be tuff. Pro tip... put the rope thru the schwabish before going around the tree. Then you can just grab the rope at the schwabish & take it straight to the versa button. My 1st time out I thought the same as you, that I may need another hand. But, when I took the platform off the tree I didn't pull the rope back thru the schwabish so it's ready to go the next time out.
When standing directly in front of it it is easy but i put my platform to my left or right try that and pull and loop and hook in a demo in tree . the full bury for platform is very thick and the 2nd swabish folds does not pull like the lite.
I’d like to see this being set while one sticking. You don’t have the leverage or the room as if you are standing on the ground. Should still be ok but I’d like to see it
I see the pro holds the platform securely. Could the pro be used safely with a lock-on type treestand like the lone wolf custom gear stands as well? Thanks
Geez, I literally just bought a USA LITE and haven't even tried out yet and it's replaced. I guess it is possible to just purchase an Amsteel loop and make the second swabish on my exiting LITE, no? any idea on the loop size?
Nice video. Would you have any concerns with using this with sticks that have a versa button? Looks like this might be the way to go so I can shed some weight on my overall pack.
Is there a difference between this and the Vital Grounds Outdoors PSH? I like the idea of ditching a cam strap… just trying to find the best option. Thanks in advance
Yeah they operate off completely different principles. Both are good options. My experience with a PSH is super limited, but a friend who has both believes the USA Pro gets tighter.
@@SaddleHunter awesome thank you!! Being a larger guy at 5’10” and 255… would you go with the XL? I’m only looking for my predator xl platform not the sticks currently. Weight saving isn’t an issue… I just want the absolute strongest working load I can find
Yeah no doubt there’s more steps than a daisy chain but it doesn’t take any longer than a truckers hitch or a rope mode to put on and it definitely comes off quicker.
Honestly, this is so over complicated. And the price seems a bit ridiculous in my opinion. I feel like this is just another way to grab money from folks. There are pother companies making amsteel products that make things MORE simple, not more complicated. I'm going to go with them as this just seems like not a whole lot of added value yet the price tag doesn't reflect that.
@@corey8134 yeah that’s why I’m just using one on my platform and one on a stick in case it winds up on a lean which is prone to a kick out. Sam plans to lower the price soon.
That USA pro is awesome! I put it on my seeker platform that would never ever bite the tree like it’s supposed to with the cam strap but she’s finally biting strong with the USA pro. Thanks for the video and the amsteel guy for another great product!
poor tree, i try me best to not run large loads on anything less than 1inch. i definitely get the pitch here but i understand that cambium can be easily damaged. probably caring too much about the trees but ive even switched up some very productive trees cause i can see the years of wear from me using them. probably not really as big of an issue as i think but it should be on your mind if conservation is a goal.
