The worst thing In US are the houses that are build from very chip materials. If you live in the apartment if your neighbor put air condition in a window or a fan , you may have a helicopter in your apartment.
@@TravelAddictGuy A leak or faulty construction causing this happens in Poland too. But the difference is that you have these wooden frame houses with paper-gypsum walls. In Poland such construction is unacceptable because it doesn't meet the protection requirements from shells that could be fired from German tanks.
I have similar observations, what struck me personally in the USA? Indifference to mass homelessness, the ease with which many people explode with anger and aggression, tragic and poorly constructed residential buildings, huge social inequalities. I choose Europe:))
@@TravelAddictGuy I'm kinda bugged how in the US there is so much access to firearms, yet there are Karens and Kevins. Out here, I think half the people around would, like half the store, would just assault a Karen or Kevin. I've only heard of Kevins in higher business, like guy having a hundred cars in fleet for servicing, swearing a lot while repeating 'I don't care', being an entitled customer. So there was a complaint about this, I don't know what they did, but I have to speak with this person from time to time, and I can hear from voice he may be really pissed but in words he remains polite, to the point, and even has a good word of understanding. Also, a lot of people act like Walt Kowalski from 'Gran Torino'. Difficult to describe. As my higher-up said; 'You are only as close to and liked by someone, as much as you can insult him and he's not offended.'
When I went to Wroclaw and Opole in 1990, everyone was much smaller. Now when I go every year all the people are bigger. Now i'm about average sized compared to the young guys...
If you talk about their height then yeah, I also noticed it. I'm 173cm (5'8) and I'm taller then my father, which I considered to be normal height. Now my 17yo brother is at 180cm+ (5'11), when I pass women and even kids on the street they're my height or they're even taller. For some reason people nowadays are just taller overall
I was considered a tall guy when I was 18. Now I'm 34, and I'm shorter than primary school kids. I think it's actually a sign that Polish meat is polluted with growth hormone. Theoretically Polish food needs to meet EU standards, but for the sake of your health, I don't recommend eating meat that is not 'BIO' certified.
Yes, it is Wroclaw, and I really enjoy living here. Dominik is a good friend, he has been showing me the rooes here in Poland. I will send your regards to him. Dziekuje. 🇵🇱🇺🇲🙏
And I was shocked in California that although the climate and temperature there are basically like in Spain, the ocean is freezing cold, much colder than the Baltic Sea even. One American explained to me that it's because of the Arctic currents. That's probably why they have seals and whales there :) The toilets in the corporation were also a huge shock. They only have half doors there ;) I was also surprised that the police don't work on weekends. I had to wait from Saturday to Monday to report my passport theft. And in connection with that, I was surprised by the crime in the US. I was robbed and so were my colleagues from work. In this area, the US resembles Poland from the 90s
It's sad that you and your co-workers were robbed in California, but it's not surprising. The Pacific Ocean is quite cold. When I lived in Chile, it was frigid cool year round. The sea lions love it, though.
If you did your research, you would know that the water currents of California come from Alaska. Should have visited Hawaii or Florida beaches instead.
Mam wrażenie, że Dominik oprowadzał też Roba z Wielkiej Brytanii z kanału Rob Reacts. Cieszę się, że tak się dzieje. Dużo wie, ładnie mówi, dzięki dla Dominika.
@@TravelAddictGuy Thank you also for being open to Poland and Wrocław. When people want to get to know each other, the world becomes a better place. I hope you feel treated kindly in our country. If I met you somewhere on the street, I would be happy to drink a beer with you and exchange impressions.
@@michastrobel2985 People have been friendly and welcoming here in Wroclaw. I really love this city. If you see me somewhere, of course we can go for a beer or coffee. Cheers!
1:54 The worst thing is , that when you sit on toilet and shit , then the shit dropping in to this pool of water makes splashes , that may splash on your balls or vagina , it is disgusting!!!
Unfortunately, it has changed for the worse. It is still a good place to make money if you have the skills. But it's better to earn some money and retire in Europe.
Oh my goodness . . . this video should be the cliff notes of mandatory education for American youth . . . "hey i skipped high school because I watched a 10 minute clip of a Polish guy telling us how America isn't all cracked up to be"
I do not think I was traumatised but I was certainly disapointed. At least by the cities. Outside the cities is better. Grand Canyon was really impressive.
@RoamingwithStu It's pretty bad, actually. I lived there until 2007, and I was the last of my family to move out. It's just too dangerous, but many US cities are like that now.
Never understood why US residential buildings are so flimsy. Whenever I mention it, I hear a heap of excuses and mathematical essays on how wood is as strong as stone but more flexible. 🌬🐷🐷🐷 And yet the many tornados and hurricanes prove that not to be the case.
Nothing can withstand a tornado, that's why the houses in the mid-west have basements, have double paned windows to withstand the cold and have more insulation and housing in the west does not. Also, houses in Florida are cinder block forward, and are cheaper to build in order to withstand bugs and hurricanes.
@@sirrathersplendid4825 Newer homes in Florida are built with Hurricane windows that are engineered to be safer and withstand more extreme weather conditions. Also they use cinder blocks and less wood since there are more bugs in Florida. You need to remember that most of Florida is below sea levels, so realistically basements are dangerous.
Założyłem tą koszulkę ponieważ kupiłem ją pierwszego dnia mojego pierwszego pobytu w USA na koncercie Offspring w Mountain View. Stanowi ona dla mnie troszkę taki symbol tego okresu w moim życiu.
The U.S. has more than 3.9 million square miles almost the size of all of Europe. He is just not used to the massive distances and unaccustomed to the vast differences between Europe and the U.S. This guy can't comprehend how far the distances are in the U.S. [lost in translation]. Also, he did not talk about hiking, Americans love to hike, did he try any hiking while in the U.S.? Traveling from state to state is typical if you live back East, but not if you live in California. You can drive 8 hours in California and not leave the state as opposed to living in Washington D.C. where you can live in Baltimore and drive to work in D.C. Yes, the U.S. is very big and has 50 states, some Americans never visit all fifty states. Also, this guy is not used to seeing how multicultural San Francisco is.
To doświadczenie rozjebało mi mózg
It's true that some of the homeless people don't want to work. Many are dealing with drug or alcohol addiction and would have trouble keeping a job. But there are others who simply don't earn enough to pay rent or people won't rent to them. Maybe because they have a criminal record. It's a complicated issue.
If you have problem with anything, tell me, my friend, I don't have much, but I'll be happy to share. I just need to know what you need, I'm not a mind reader.
Shocks me how everything in the USA is so politically charged. People belong to one of two tribes and blindly believe everything their tribe believes. As a result, America’s greatest problems - poor infrastructure and homelessness - never get addressed.
It is not the laws in the US. Actually Europe has more laws restricting some freedoms. It is about selfcensorship. American are just more insecure and thus more afraid and that is wha makes them cautious and not willing to ris expressing their thoughts to the point that they no longer have thoughts of their own.
We are often forced to self censor. If you say the wrong thing at work. You can easily lose your job or be severely reprimanded. If you say the wrong thing on social media and your company finds out, you can also lose your job. There are also hate crime laws, which you can be criminally charged with. Not to mention the threat of sexual harassment claims.
I don't get this guy's comment about U.S. toilets. U.S. restroom stalls are up to international standards even at airports. At least we offer toilet seat covers and toilet paper which there seems to be a lack of in Europe. Bring your own toilet paper when you visit Spain and Italy.
Transportation in Poland isn't that good too. I wanted go to a place 160 km away and back and the trip took over 11 hours because there are no direct trains/buses to a lot of places here
No one is saying it is perfect but compared to US it is excellent. And each year it is getting better. Old train lines that were closed in the 90s are being renovated and are reopening.
The reason for the gap is that in case of emergency, they can get the person out. Also, so the people don't use it for all sorts of other behaviors like sex, drugs, etc. It's just for safety. I don't mind that at all.
Polska i Wrocław ,Czechy ,to są słowiańskie kraje ,grody , . Tego nie macie w USA . !!! . Jak chcecie zostać słowianami musicie zostać w Polsce .🇵🇱👍🇺🇸🏞️🙋
The Polish guy needs to mind his own business while other people are sitting on the toilet...kidda creepy and weird if he is observing other people doing their business.
The USA and Europe have a different history and all of this is reflected in behavior, lifestyle, infrastructure, interests etc. Despite all the criticism regarding Americans and their legendary ignorance, on average, I prefer the company of an American than a German or a Frenchman. Well, Aussies are nicer than Americans, statistically.
