USA VAN LIFE TRAVELERS RETURN - VAN LIFE BRAIL
Snow and Curt are full time van life travelers touring South America in their van. Last year they spent 6 weeks in Brazil and fell in love with the beautiful country. Thier Van Life Travel Itinerary required that they leave Brazil, but Snow and Curt vowed to return to explore more of this amazing country in their tiny house on wheels! The time has come to return to Brazil in their Mercedes Sprinter Van. First up on the agenda is doing some much needed maintennace on the van. Come along with Snow and Curt as they cross the border and head to a Brazilian Motorhome Builder in Pelotas to get to work on the van! They get asked all of the time... after four years living in your van, what would you change? Well, in this episode you will start to get your answers!

I just discovered your channel a couple weeks back. I’m 62 yrs old and moved in with my parents in 2019 to take care of them. It’s now just my Mom and I (she is 89 yrs old) and I have turned her on to your channel and some others. She can’t believe people live in vans and travel the world. We enjoy watching your adventures so thank you for putting these videos out. I would never get to see these countries otherwise.

This border between Brazil and Argentina has this format to facilitate the passage of trucks and tourists. Uruguaiana, on the Brazilian side, has the second (sometimes first) largest dry port in Latin America and is the second largest entry point for foreigners into Brazil.

Welcome to the south of Brazil. To the south of Pelotas, is the Taim ecological reserve, nature is a nursery for many birds. Now it's winter and many birds have migrated to the northern hemisphere. Further north of Pelotas, is Serra Gaúcha, nature is expectable. There are two typical cities, Gramado and Canela. And on the border with the State of Santa Catarina, we will have the Kenions and the Serra do Rio do Rastro, a beautiful place. Bon voyage!

I like seeing the coffee shops and cafes you go to. The food looked so good. As you know, there has been millions of immigrants coming to US. We have a woman from Argentina working nearby. I don't get it. Brazil and Argentina are gorgeous and have so much to offer. If people only knew that here you spend most of your life chasing the dollar and most barely get by nowadays.

I'm Brazilian and I was once an immigrant too, I worked in Germany.... Really, for living, I find South America more pleasant and happy, despite not being organized, clean and well urbanized as Europe or the USA. ... The problem is that our money has very little value compared to dólar or euro... So sometimes it's advantageous to go to rich countries to work in some sub-job for a few years, save some money and return to our country to buy a house, a small farm or set up a business.

I am also living vicariously with Snow and Curt. Congratulations on your first 7 months . I am currently undergoing a plethora of test to find out what's wrong with me. I can only say, the things I suspected about my health are just fine. Whatever is happening, is remaining elusive. I also note that, even though I feel fine, I am beginning to see life differently. Of course, turning 70 in August might be a part of that, too. 😊 I hope you have a wonderful life from here on out. May your journey ahead be filled with peace and love.

Curt and Snow, Incredible ppl. There is a good life way beyond the states. I love the 2nd layout of your air B&B. How do you find such awesome places to stay in another country? It's so different than Argentina. A world of difference. I speake some Spanish but could only make out a few words spoken in Portuguese. I didn't realize there was such a difference. Vanna and G-Money, are Soo well behaved. Leash trained and they don't try to escape on the balconies! You are sooo busy Snow! Your energy is great and it's just alot of work. I can just imagine that Curt and you are just pooped out. The guys at the motorhome rebuild business loved the eBikes. That was fun to see how excited they were. Enjoy the rest of your stay. I’m so happy you don’t mind me tagging along. I wish I had a significant other that could cook like yours. You both look really good. I’m excited for Europe. I have a place in Dubrovnik I hope you visit , it’s so beautiful ( just come off off season). The two of you are doing it right. People who wait till there 65 it’s too late . Peel things off in your younger years and save your $. If you have children as I did (3). We were able to make it happen despite schools and colleges. Grateful for your great check-up. I admit I only discovered your channel from just before Snow's emergency with her heart and I had no clue you had two bikes stashed in that van. LOL. I bet you used them a lot in Mexico during lock down. I haven't found time to binge watch those, but will. Hey, if selling those bikes helps the budget and lightens the load for shipping to Europe, then that was a great decision. I'm so happy you're getting all the upgrades and fixes done in one big push. When you hit the road again, you'll be set to really enjoy yourselves.

Spring cleaning will be wonderful when you get back in the van. Your kittens will love it. I so happy you're getting you van done in South America. Much better to do it now before Europe. I like you world cover for the kittens. You are so blessed to have such a quality of the shop to do your van. You're going to be able to relax and know that when you get back in that van it's going to have AAA work done on it. It will serve you well now for quite a long time. Some places in Brazil use 110V, specially the bigger cities, but in the interior and more tothe north, it is 220V, so be sure tocheck.

Wow! The van is getting some much needed TLC, but you two sure got a workout! Just moving into one place would have been exhausting enough, but twice! And yet to come for us to watch, back into the van! That's a lot in two weeks! Hey Guys, wonderful to have you here. I don’t know if you have a planed map or trajectory you want to follow but these are some places along the Southern states I would recomend you guys go to. Rio Grande do Sul: Porto Alegre (Capital), Bento Gonçalves (wine country), Gramado and Canela (culture and winterwonderland) Santa Catarina: Florianópolis (Capital), Blumenau (Culture), Pomerode (Culture), Penha ( 2 best amusement park in the world), Balneário Camboriú (beaches and city).

I lived in Pelotas, Brasil, when I was young. I only remember the restaurants, which were many and interesting. The breakfast of steak and eggs is pretty classic. You used to be able to get filet mignon for a song there. I liked the diner style restaurants too. I was just a kid, so most of my memories are about Colegio San Jose, where I went to school. If your diet will allow it, make sure to try the coconut custard delicacy, that I have no idea what the name of is. I just remember it being bright yellow on top (from egg yolks) and coconut on the bottom. Can't find it anywhere else in the world and it's delicious!

Glad you got rid of the bikes you got extra money & less stuff on the van. Apartments look good & comfortable. The moving in & out looked like a lot of work.
