Life is hard but. I have fallen down stairs and did a full frontal. I cried for 30 seconds and got glass out of my arm. I was I need a moment. Alone. And a drink.

Stepped on a plank with a nail pointing up while fooling around outside while dad changed the roofing, I totally froze up and screamed, and my dad came rushing over and took me by the chest and pulled me straight up. Once rode a too small bike too fast and twisted the front wheel and landed flat out on my chest on the road and cracked some ribs. Me and my cousing were playing on a iced river and on the railway too. No prizes won.

We have been trained from birth in the UK to laugh at other people's misfortunes. Our dying breed of grandparents were utterly ruthless and have taught us well. We must carry that torch of reality on for the sake of our grandchildren.

In general, the main difference seems to be that UK fails are more casual whereas the Americans appear to put a lot more effort into them. Also, UK has cooler bicycles.
