It´s so ridiculous because i went 40 km/h with a good bike and couldn´t go faster and i was scared to fall off at that speed, lol. I then imagined to add 5 km/h, jump off the bike and run, haha. These guys are insane.

Just finished 100m final in Paris live and seeing that Lyles ran a 9.79 and seeing how incredibly fast it was makes me think how fast bolt was here in 2008
That record will never be broken, unless another rarity of Usain physical stature shows up. A guy that tall is not meant to have the muscles reactions to withstand the intensity of a 100m start. How he never pulled hamstrings every other race is unheard of. He is special beyond understanding.
I dont think people really realize how dominate this was. Dude that came in second ran a 9.71 which is his fastest time ever. noah ran a 9.79 for gold. Usain ran a blistering 9.58....wow
@@ryand141 my apartment hallway is 110 steps long, my dad measured it and he’s 6’7 so his walking stride is above avg. 110 steps is 83 meters and you factor his above average walking stride it’s at LEAST 90 meters 😹😹 u mirin?
@@stomo422There would have to be another tall sprinter come along who can turn the legs over as fast as Bolt for a similar stride length..Virtually impossible for any shorter sprinters to get the stride rate up so fast that it compensates for the shorter stride distance…Won’t be happening anytime soon
Last night's final was the fastest all round final in history (as in, all 8 competitors), a guy ran 9.91 and finished last for crying out loud 😂 but you're right, no one will beat this record, not in our lifetime

Dominated the track because at 6'5" his stride length was ridiculous! No other elite sprinter was ever that tall. He's taking about 2-3 lest steps per 100m than the rest of the sprinters. This equals a little more energy/power in the last 30-40m of the race to push him forward while the rest of the field slows down.

I remember that that time. Trust, anyone who followed mens 100m had that 9.7 barrier, it'd take a roided man to break it or a man 30 years from then. But this man was jogging off ridiculous times, we wanted to see it done and he delivered. I'm still so so sour about him celebrating at the Beijing 100m final

This is insane, today's race was intense, not one person finished over 9.9 seconds, and Lyles winning with even 9.79 seconds, even with all of that Bolt would've still effortlessly won it in his prime. 🔥
I came here to compare Bolt against the boys in the olympic finals… Lyles and Thompson are slightly behind Tyson gay with Gay getting 9.71 in this race and 9.78 for the 2 sprinters mentioned above.. Just look at that fucken gap. Can say Bolts record will never be broken in my lifetime
Usain is chilling out and the photographer is running as fast as he can, but it doesnt mean anything, its not like they were at the same speed with one jogging and the other one running.
A 5 foot 9 Ben Johnson would of destroyed them both. And before you claim Ben cheated, the guy in blue second to Usain here has doped more times than Johnson. The australian cricket ball tamperer cheated and was unbanned, its just that back then the rules were stricter so if you cheated once you were banned for life. Ben Johnson did 9.79 in 1988 on an old track wearing outdated shoes compared to these runners. If you do research youll find the shoes now are 2% faster than the 1988 championship shoes which although are outdated are still faster than the asics you buy from rebel or atheletes now. It was amazing how he toyed with the competition in the prelims in both the 100 and 200 regardless which Olympics it was. I just don't think his world records will ever be broken. Obviously when the time came to show everyone what he was made of, he delivered. The greatest sprinter I have ever seen.
Correct. Bolt could have run most of his races faster than he did, even those in which he broke records. In this one for example, at the 90m mark, he was already looking over to his left (for some reason), and presumably knowing the race was already won, had stopped running. His lead foot crossed the line at 9,3s. That could easily have been his chest.
What People dont get about Bolt is that, most runners you see, either keep the same pace or drop. Usain just climbs up in terms of speed thats why he always gaps them lol, making him one of the best runners of all time.
Normally as years goes on we are meant to be faster and world records get faster and faster but watching everyone in the Paris Olympics the best sprinters in the world today and yet 15 years later still no one has came close to Bolts records, man he was something special.
It would be scary to see how much faster Usain Bolt would be if he could perfect his starts. He usually gets sloppy starts but he always picks the pace up in the middle of the race. Phenomenal athleticism shown by Bolt.

I always wondered how fast Usain Bolt's splits were for this race. After doing research, I found out that Bolt ran the first 50m in 5.47 SECONDS!!! THAT'S INSANE!!! he broke both of Maurice Greene's records over the 50m and 60m of 5.56 seconds and 6.39 seconds simultaneously with Bolt's 6.31 seconds over the 60m. Usain Bolt is a legendary wonder of human speed compared to other animals
Along with Jonathan Edwards incredible two triple jumps in Gothenburg,i don't think ive seen live as it happened anything better in an Athletics stadium than this. He also obliterated the 200 metres world record. An amazing athlete.
Watching this again, still thrilling. Tyson Gay executes a beautiful run. 2nd 50 is immense. But Bolt’s drive and extension is astonishing. Just seems like he could take off if he wanted to.
The funny thing is he actually peaked at 27 mph during that run and was pretty much above 20 mph as soon as he got moving, so in a school zone he technically is speeding haha!
