Now sub 9:40 is another story, that might take 50 years. Honestly its true, im late but i 100% agree, im an upcoming athlete and one of the top students in my class, before when i started the year i was very determined to the point where i consistently dropped my pr in both 100m and 200m which being 10.76 and 23.25 respectively, ofcourse they arent fast ( im 17) but its commendable for my age at the time, but as i grew older i started becoming unmotivated and started jogging out my races even tho i finished first all the time. I ended up quitting tracks very early and as of now im not doing it anymore. Still unsure whether i should continue or stop completely

Perhaps, you could use your athletic talent to be recruited for a scholarship & earn a college degree. Education unlocks doors of opportunity.

I don't consider retiring after competing in three Olympics to be an early retirement. Especially in the events he competed in. Although Allyson Felix, competed for quite some time in the Olympics.

That's a boss level answer ❤😂 it's amazing to think that champions come in all shapes and sizes. But there's one thing they all have in common that arrogant, self-belief. The almost narcissistic conviction that I am the best .....this guy is a true champion ❤😂

This kid was too close for comfort behind us when we were running at Vere Technical High School on the beautiful island of Jamaica; My younger cousin always defeated him, and so we knew he too had motivation and fast-twitched muscles. Hence his 3 victories are for the three counties on our prestine isle. I advocate before my death that he becomes the first President of Yawd (alias for: Jamaica) and i the mastermind for the risen throne of King Selassie to rule the Black World forevermore. Irish men need to go back being slaves to white europe and italian men must be imprisoned forever.😮

Blake's 200m was faster than Bolts before wind adjustment, and he also covered the distance faster after his start (because Bolt's reaction was faster, his overal time was also faster) so it's conceivable that the 200 record could fall (although we've hardly seen an athlete on par with Blake never mind Bolt) Nobody has ever come within a tenth of a second of his 100 time, I think that will stand until the sun explodes. To call the guy a generational talent is an unspeakable understatement - I think we've seen the marathon equivalent in Kelvin Kiptum, but I'm just sorry he never had the chance to put his world record completely out of sight for the next 100 years

@009Daft600 well yes, but being able to run 100m in under 9.6s or a marathon in under 2hrs aren't exactly selection pressures - obviously we become more efficient and we'll develop better gear and training regimes in the future, but these are narrow advantages that won't single handedly take 0.2s off your 100m or 2 minutes off your marathon - in our own lifetimes, we won't see another like Bolt or Kiptum, that's what I'm saying
@98danielray
@98danielray 6 месяцев назад
@@joelmacinnes2391you dont need selective pressure. every single record in history was done with practically the same genetic makeup. the difference IS in culture, information and technology

For someone to beat his record, it would have to be someone who has his same physical make up/height/ground contact speed and turnover. Just don’t see it…the odds of finding similar characteristics and athleticism is too rare. He WILL BE the greatest of ALL time for generations, after generation, after generation

8 billion people. at least a few others will have physical potential to be able to beat him no? new training methods... new regulations (dont nitpick on regulations point)... etc. everything stands to point that at least in the time from now to the end of human history, someone will beat usain bolt's record? Well it's almost certain. No matter how you try to phrase it with pseudo science, you are statistically: exaggerating/wrong.

I totally understand and get him and what he is saying. I retired from the Army at age 29 as a Heavy Combat Engineer. I'm currently one of the few black female Army construction 👷‍♀️🚧 veterans and I retired with two Honorable Discharges. One in National Guard and one in Army. I became a combat construction worker because of 9/11. It was the most selfless act I could think of to do to help those in NY even though I'm from MS. I'm an artist and decided to tear up my art scholarship and join the Army and put my art skills to really good use serving my country. I saw construction as another form of Art. I am currently a stay at home mother of two, who is a child of God and a Baptist homeschool teacher to them. I thank God for allowing me to serve my country and approving of my current lifestyle. I joined the Army age 19 and retired age 29. I'm 42 now. All praises sent to the Most High!!!! 🙌 🥰🙏💯
