@MiniMcLaren 14 He got that field speed. There also so many variables to those clocked speeds. Starting and stopping, making a cut, running east and west. All those make you slow down.
Usain bolt been retired from sprinting for a while probably haven't even been training or running. Goes out in regular clothing with regular shoes and just casually runs a 4.22. Wonder how fast he would do it in his prime. Crazy thing is his start is his biggest weakness
The time was already posted before he crossed the line. Plus usain would never have a blazing 40 because he has a slow acceleration due to his height yet a high top speed also due to height. Thats why he does so well in the 100 and 200 meter because he has enough time and distance to get up to speed and the 40 yard dash isnt long enough
Consider this. When Bolt ran his 100m wr, his split at 40m(131.2 ft) was 4.64s. At 40yds.(120 ft), that basically converts to 4.24s. However, considering that his acceleration is not linear, it was probably a little more than that in the best race of his life!
Bolt also reacted to a gun, rather than having a stopwatch react to his movements, which adds around another quarter second or so. He also wasn’t running a 40. If he were running a 40, he would certainly have changed his race distribution and transitioned sooner. At the end of the day, there’s no real way of knowing what exactly Bolt would have ran in a 40, but we can be pretty certain it would have been faster than 4.24 at his prime.
Why is this even a question? Can we quit acting like NFL players are as fast as Olympians. Tyreke Hill would be an average sprinter as an Olympian. Let alone the fastest person under 400m ever competing against him
Um, Tyreek ran a 9.98 in high school. That would have been good for 7th place at the Rio Olympics. And his 20.14 200m would have been 5th. And that's without professional training.
@@leeellenwood5461 I'm 30 years old. Pats/Rams was a bad game. Not because it was low scoring. Just was a boring game. Nothing happened in that game. No memorable plays or anything. I like defensive struggles. But that game was bad to watch.
I watched it in slow motion and made sure to look at the clock. That was no time stamp like people are trying to say. He really ran 4.22 at age 32, and they put it on his Wikipedia with his other world record times so you know it's official ✌👌
I know I am hella late, this just finally popped in my recommend but I am pretty sure all the teens are like "I can type times 100 faster than they can"
not just football player but athletes in general know the difference between 40 yard and in game speed. the way i see it holding the football whilst running in a game its like dribbling in soccer, it harder to run at your full speed and therefore not everyone(john ross) can run as fast as others (tyreek hill) in a game situation when holding the football. obviously this is my opinion as many people won't agree with it as they believe john ross is fastest but no doubt we can agree that tyreek is still a freak of nature. His agility is great plus he is such an explosive player, search tyreek hill dunk and watch how easy he gets up.
Everybody knows there's no way in hell Tyreek could beat Bolt in a Race. In Pads, def Tyreek. On turf? Maybe Tyreek, but if Bolt gets 6months-1 year to train on turf then he could probably win.
In a race Bolt would win, he has a runners body, long legs and very skinny compared to Hill who is relatively short and weighed down by a ridiculous amount of muscle. Hill is still incredibly explosive and his speed is a huge threat.
On his high school time he would’ve be 6 out of 9 on the final stage Olympic 100 meter, and 0.18 away from bolt, 0.10 away from gatlin (2nd place) on his HIGH SCHOOL TIME
Bro you made it seem like it was a different language the way you typed that lol. He said "you know what I'm saying"- but I'm "black" American so I didn't even ponder what he said. We talk like that
Can we see these 2 race please its time its about to be 2021 lets get these guys racing if bolt is still in top shape the whole world would watch this race
sandman g idk... but he doesn’t look like he would be able to run routes that aren’t just streaks, if he got hit by a linebacker he would snap like a twig. I don’t even think he can do 225 more than 5x. If he devoted all his time to football though he would be a beast.
Myxstery Waring randy moss wasn’t a possession receiver, bolt doesn’t need to be a elite catcher over the middle of the field. Screen an go routes an post routes an also a target in the red zone, he would be elite in the nfl with 6 months to a year of football training
Even as a bengals fan ross did better on the 40 but not at real game speed tyreek is more explosive and hit the holes at crazy speed ross slows down and slows down to cut corners
Even though this was made like 2 years after his retirement, as mush as Usain didn twin the challenges we all know, that in a 100m or 200m,when bolt is in his stride he is gonna win all them challenges
Can he catch a football? There was one Renaldo Nehemiah, an Olympic sprinter/hurdler who played for the 49ers back in the 1980s, l believe it was. Fast as the wind but not tough enough for the NFL.
