This isnt true. If you look at the 10 meter splits Usain was running faster the whole way during his 9.58. This would have likely been a 9.62 if he didnt slow down

When I look back at Bolt’s achievements I have to come to the conclusion that he wasn’t even human. He consistently ran against the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th fastest men in history and made them look like ordinary 9-5 workers trying their hands at sprinting. It’s just shocking, he really was cut from a different cloth.

I've watched this race and his 2009 awesome 9.58 masterclass countless times, and I've come to the conclusion that, at least over 100m, Bolt could have equalled - if not bettered his 2009 time here. He is in the zone and running so effortlessly. In Berlin, when he ran 9.58, he was NOT totally maxed out, so he probably could have bettered that time then. However, when I watch the Beijing race, Bolt actually puts the brakes on! If he had put the hammer down completely in that race, I believe he could have run 9.49. Anyone agree?

Ganan Wimalarajan That's just factually wrong. if one person is genetically more athletic, or otherwise has traits that help them excel at a sport they can put in less work and still be better.

+Ganan Wimalarajan I know the comments a year old, but, talent always wins out over hard work, especially in sprints, he still had to work hard, very hard, but I could work twice as hard and never beat him

Not quite, apparently. I'm American and I'm definitely cheering Bolt. How could I not? I'd be devastated if he lost.
