Before I listen to the rest of the video. What he said was classic rhetoric. After listening to the video, pretty much basic rhetoric. 'All three groups want just one. All three groups just want to be that one.' :) All three federations won't be getting together in my life, but I am 70. :) / I looked it up, and I believe he is paid around $800,000 annually. USAP has 22 Directors/Officers, and 11 Senior Managers. / PAA (Pickleball Australia Association [associated with PPA]) is hosting the first SE Asia Pickleball Tournament, Vietnam Open in October 2024. / How many times did he deflect? Mr. Nealy was no different than any other CEO/upper manager in an interview. They always say what you want to hear. IMHO. :) Thank you both for your time. Great job as always.
I enjoy your podcast, but this episode was very distracting with how many times you interrupted your guests and talked over him as he was trying to answer your questions.
Thank you for doing this interview! I hope that USAP can continue addressing integrity issues within their sphere. I used to love watching the Pros play at PPA and MLP, but they have an interest in promoting their small pool of pros to the point where it begs the question if the competition is real. The PPA and MLP is the worst in my opinion reminds me of WWE wrestling the way they produce and over hype the matchups.
@@jillybpickleballhow the gearbox paddle is still legal blows my mind 😂 I can’t hear the ball being rifled at me off that paddle and 4.0 players all of a sudden hit harder than pros 😅
Thanks for bringing balance to the Joola/USAP dispute. How do you get these guys to participate on your podcast and then talk about sensitive issues? Can't wait to see the Q3 paddle testing roll-out. USAP's response to the Joola lawsuit will be filed on 7/22. "USA Pickleball Association answer due 7/22/2024. Signed by Magistrate Judge Timothy J. Sullivan on 7/8/2024."
It's about time they figured out a testing method. Set a MPH limit #. Make a paddle out of anything you want to. If the ball exceeds the set MPH, it FAILS PERIOD.
Hi. How can I contact the USAPA CEO? I have an important idea at hand...need to hear my innovative idea and could be a game changer to solve specific pickleball issue...don't know if needed USAPA stamp of approval for it. I already have pending patent for it. Maybe still need for them to sign NDA before discussion.
Did you share that the USAP unilaterally modified the "surface test" without notification. Additionally, Joola was the first one subjected to it? "Level playing field" would imply that all of the paddles are subject to the same tests and standards, but that is not the case. Additionally you note that you only cut open some of the paddles and let the other ones go without.
Correct me if I am wrong....ALL brands are on the honour system to not break the rules set forth by USAP when it comes to materials and trampoline effect. If joola says they make paddles that are within the rules they cannot complain that the rules were applied. You ever been in front of a judge and say "but everyone else was speeding!"
Feels like I'm on a work call listening to my VP spew rhetoric with no real intention of actually answering questions. This guy has no real investment in pickleball outside of collecting a check.
Nealy's point on Joola makes sense. If they made exception for Joola it will open the door for all other manufacturers to do the same. I don't see Joola coming out with their side of events, seems they are just flexing with lawsuit.
Joola's position is contained in the lawsuit they filed against USAP. Frankly if you bothered to research that, and bothered to actually read the basis of the lawsuit before commenting, your comment might mean something. Read the lawsuit with an open mind and if your position isn't modified, it would just confirm some confirmation bias.
@@trumpisastump9382 Excellent point. Unfortunately, maybe 1% (you and Jilly B) have read the suit. But this is all the time, in any situation. People comment with maybe 10% of the information. This is why, IMO, mainstream media gets away with what they post. :)
@@trumpisastump9382 which point in JOOLA’s lawsuit do you think will sway me. If you are going to come at me bring the receipts, not a blanket statement. Did you read it? Change my mind!
